Last Call

Last Call

Joey tossed and turned restlessly.

No......Yugi.....” he sobbed in his sleep.

Please......don’t....

Joey woke up and looked around the room. He realized he’d just been dreaming it all. He
clutched his pillow and began to cry.

“What’s my problem?” he whimpered as he closed his eyes to fight the tears. He laid there
crying for quite some time before he started feeling hungry. He didn’t think Seto would mind
him raiding the fridge, so he slipped on a fuzzy white bathrobe that was hanging on the door, and
stepped into the hallway. As he passed Seto’s room, he noticed the door open just a hair.

//I should close this....I don’t want to wake.......WHOA! HOLY CRAP!//

“Harder bitch! Fuck me like you mean it!” a mans voice growled. It sounded vaguely familiar to
Joey, but he couldn’t quite place it.

“I’ll fuck you however I want to!” Seto snarled as he slammed into the person on their hands and
knees infront of him.

The man screamed out as Seto pounded him into the sheets.

“You’re all talk.....FUCK! YES! That’s the spot! HARDER!”

“Not so loud, dufus! You’ll wake everybody up!” Seto hissed in a low raspy voice. He purposely
slammed himself as hard as he could into the shadowy figure below him.

“GAHHHHHHH! YESSSSS!”

Joey gaped in horror at the spectacle before him.

He was no dummy, Seto was obviously having hot sweaty sex with somebody, and it wasn’t him!

Joey silently made his way back to his room and slid back into bed. After what he’d just seen, he
was no longer hungry.

Joey laid in bed not knowing what he should do. He felt like running away and never showing
his face in town again, but he felt something holding him back. He couldn’t say for sure what it
was though.

As he laid there something occurred to him from out of nowhere.

“Serenity’s party! I almost forgot!”

He glanced at the clock. It was still an hour and a half before bar closing.

Joey hopped out of bed and threw on the clothes he was wearing the day before. He rushed out
of his room without bothering to tell anyone he was leaving. He bit his lip and he passed by
Seto’s room. It was quite now. His “guest” must have left.

Joey quickly made his way out of the massive building and ran as fast as he could to Duke’s
tavern. It was storming out pretty bad, but it didn’t matter. He cnn’t miss his little sisters 21st
birthday party! Lucky for Joey, Duke’s establishment was only 4 blocks away. He got there just
in time to see Serenity blow out her 21st candle.

“Joey!” Serenity squealed as Joey walked in soaking wet.

“Hey sis, sorry I’m late. I kinda got lost.” Joey lied. He didn’t want his sister to know he’d
almost forgot her birthday. It would crush her. Serenity had always been over sensitive about
pretty much everything.

Serenity threw her arms around the wet puppy. He could tell she had consumed quite a bit of
alcohol that night by the way she just “hung” around his neck.

“Been drinkin’ tonight sis?” He chuckled as he removed her from around his neck.

“A little” She giggled as he drank down the rest of the contents of her glass. The liquid was blue
and there were three light up plastic ice cubes in the glass, which made the drink look like it was
glowing. The blacklight they were standing under made it look radio-active. Joey cringed at the
sight of his sister drinking the strange mixer.

“What the hell did you just swallow, sis? That looked......ack! BAD!”

Serenity shrugged as she started walking toward the bar to get another drink.

“It was tasty, I think I’ll have another!”

“Dude! How the hell are you!” Tristan laughed as he stagged over with two beers in his hand. He
handed one to Joey. Joey took the beer and shrugged.

“Thanks. I’m hanging in there. What brings you out tonight? I haven’t seen much of you since
you and Isis shacked up together.”

Tristan rolled his eyes.

“Don’t say her name tonight dude! I’m trying to forget it!” he shouted over the loud music.

“Whoa.......I’m staying out of this one...” Joey mumbled to himself.

“Huh? I can’t hear you, man! The music’s too loud!” Tristan laughed. Serenity returned from the
bar carrying an electric red drink this time. Joey cringed again.

“You scare me a little sis.”

Serenity looked over at Tristan with a sly (drunken) grin.

“Hey Tristan” she purred as she practically threw herself in his arms. She was drunk. Way drunk.
Falling over into Tristan’s arms drunk. It was obviously her first time being drunk too. Joey
didn’t quite like his sister being in the state she was in. He didn’t see anything wrong with him
being drunk, but it bothered him seeing his sister completely blasted.

“Oh yeah, happy birthday to me!” Tristan chuckled as he cozied up to Joey’s younger sister.

Joey rolled his eyes.

“Wess” he mused as he walked over to the end of the bar. Mai was sitting there filing her
nails, looking rather bored.

“Hey Mai, how’s it going?” Joey ask as he took a seat next to her.

“It’s going.” Mai huffed on her nails and shined them on her jeans. She continued to admire her
glossy red acrylics as she conversed despondently with Joey.

“You look great tonight?” Joey smiled, hoping to brighten her spirits. Mai always loved
compliments, especially if they had to do with her looking hot.

“Thanks” She droned.

Joey cocked his head. What was up with Mai? She wasn’t usually this unresponsive.

“Mai? Wanna do a shot with me?”

Mai shrugged her shoulders.

“I guess.”

Joey whistled for the bartender, who walked over from the other end of the bar.

“Joey Wheeler? Is that you?” the familiar bartended gaped.

“Mako Tsunami? No way! How the hell have you been!”Joey exclaimed as the two slapped a
high five.

“Well..... I got kicked out of the Navy for taking the ship without permission. I tried telling them
I was looking for my father, but they didn’t buy it, assholes. I just got back into town last week.
Duke set me up with this job until I can find something else. How about you?”

Joey shrugged his shoulders as he picked up a paper coaster and began playing with it.

“You stole an entire Navy ship? Damn, that takes balls. I’ve just been hanging around. Nothing
special to speak of.”

Joey looked over at Mai and remembered why he̵callcalled Mako over in the first place.

“Hey, can we get two shots of......uh....”

Joey looked at Mai wa gra grin.

“......whatever she wants.”

Mai looked up at Joey and smiled a little.

“Two Mindbenders, Mako”

Joey cocked his head.

“Mindbender? What’s in that?”

Mako chuckled as he mixed the Chambord with the Bourbon in the shaker.

Mai patted Joey on the shoulder.

“I guess you’ll just have to find out for yourself”

Mako set two shot glasses on the edge of the bar and filled them up with contents of the shaker.
He slid them infront of Mai and Joey.

“Enjoy” He smiled as he went to take care other customers.

Joey picked up his shot glass, as did Mia. They looked at each other and noded as the lightly
clinked their glasses.

They both downed their shots and slammed the shot glasses onto the bar.

“Whoa! Yeah!”Joey laughed as he shook off the initial shock of the drink.

Mai smiled as she got up and walked around to the otherside of the bar.

“Duke won’t care if we have a few on the house.”

Joey shrugged his shoulders as he watched Mai refill his shot glass.

“If you say so.”

Mai rolled her eyes as she filled her glass.

“I haven’t much of him tonight. He’s suppose to be helping Mako out behind the bar, but he
keeps running off.”

As they were talking, a chorus of hoots and hollers erupted from near the main entrance. Joey
and Mia took their shots and looked back to see what was causing all the commotion.

Joey stared in shock as he caught a glimpse of tri-colored hair through the crowd gathered
around the newcomer. Joey wanted to turn his head away, but he couldn’t for some reason. He
felt like he was in a daze.

Joey made a noise at the back of his throat as his eyes met with his former lovers.

“Joey? Are you okay?”

Joey shook his head and turned back to Mai.

“Yeah, I’m great! How about another one of those Mind-thingy’s”

Mai already had two shots poured.

Joey grinned at her devilishly.

“My last $5 says you can keep up with me shot for shot tonight.”

Mai cocked her head and laughed as she passed Joey his shot.

“You’re on Wheeler.”

Just as they finished their shots, Duke staggered in from the back door.

He sided up to Mai and started feeling up her chest.

“Oh...hey baby....wanna glo fluck?” he slurred drunkly.

Mai gently pushed his hands off of her and glared.

“No. I’m busy. Sex can wait”

Duke made an exaggerated pout.

Mai rolled her eyes.

“Go! Shoo! Skidattle!”

Duke crunched up his nose win winked at Mai.

“Awwe....I was hoping fer uh quickie.”

As luck would have it, Tristan and Serenity walked up at just that moment. Their drinks were
empty.

“Hey Duke, wassssuuuuup!” Tristan laughed.

Duke grabbed a video camera out from under the bar and somehow managed to hit record.

“Hey, looky waht I fount......haha...oooh......we can have some fun with this!” Duke snickered.

Mai let out a frustrated sighed.

“How about we drink until the party is over. After all, you are the owner. It’s you’re job to close
this place, not mine or Mako’s.”

Duke handed Tristan the video camera and slumped down next to Joey.

“You two go haff fun. Mai’s being a downer.”

Joey made a sour face.

“Touch my sister and I’ll beat the crap outta ya Taylor.”

Serenity wrapped her arms around Tristan and cuddled into his chest.

“Joey, I’m 21 now. I’m all grown up. You have to stop scaring guys away from me.”

Joey shook his he/p> /p>

“Don’t count on it, sis.”

Duke’s face suddenly lit up.

“HEY! I got an idea! Let’s gwo out back and cash a j!”

Mai and Joey both shook their heads.

“Nah....I’d rather stay inside where it’s dry.” Joey responded, noting his still damp clothes.

“I17;m17;m game.” Tristan nodded eagerly.

“Well les go than!” Duke exclaimed as he hopped off the bar stool.

Mai groaned as she watched Duke run out again.

Joey shook his head.

“I bet you’re glad you’re leaving for Europe soon.”

Mai nodded her head as she poured them another round.

“You got that right, Wheeler.”

Tristan pulled the warm blankets over himself. They felt smooth and comforting against
his bare skin. Even though the he and Isis weren’t getting along all that well right now, he still
loved to cuddle up with her before he had to get up. He loved to feel their baby move around and
kick as she slept. He rolled over onto his side to get more comfortable, reaching over to wrap his
arm around Isis.

“Feeling cuddly Taylor?” a mans voice snickered.

Tristan pulled his arm away quickly after he realized it certainly couldn’t be Isis next to him. He
sat up quickly as his eyes focused on the emerald orbs looking up at him with amusement.

“Duke? What are you doing here?”

Suddenly, the covers next to Duke started to move.

“Can you guys kee dow down? My head is throbbing!” Mai complained, not bothering to remove
the covers from over her head.

“Yeah guys, can you be a little quieter please?” a different voice ask politely from the other side
of Tristan.

Tristan turned quickly to see who it was. He was in a state of shock. He couldn’t remember a
single event that could have lead up to him being in bed with three other people.

“What’s the matter Tristan?” Duke yawned as he pulled the blanket over his shoulders.

A dainty hand reached out from under the blanket and patted Tristan on his thigh.

“Relax Tristan” the small voice giggled out from beneath fluffy white pillow next to him.
Tristan froze.

What the hell was going on? He laughed nervously as he hopped out of the bed.

“Well, uh.....it’s been great, uh......I better get to work or I’ll be late again!” he lied.

Tristan quickly grabbhat hat looked like his clothes off the floor and pulled them on.

Duke sat up and rested his arms behind his head.

“Working on a Saturday must be a bitch”

Tristan laughed nervously as he buckled his belt.

“Uh, yeah, it sucks. But a job is a job!” He tried to sound convincing......

“Tristan?” the familiar voice called out sweetly.

The woman peeked out from under the pillow with the kindest smile.

“Will you call me?”

Tristan looked closer and realized who she was. His eyes grew wide as he realized what me must
have done.

//Serenity!// he shouted in his mind.

“Uh-yeah. Sure, I’ll call ya.” he responded hesitantly. //Isis is going to kill me for cheating, and
Joey’s gonna kill me for nailing his sister! SHIT! I’m in hell....//

Serenity began to giggle.

“Don’t you need my phone number to do that?”

Tristan bit his bottom lip nervously.

“Uh- I’ll get it from Duke this afternoon. Uh-thanks for last night.” he said so he wouldn’t hurt
her f eelings. He honestly didn’t have a clue as to what they may have done.

“It was fun” She smiled as she sat up and yawned.

Tristan held his breath, knowing she was probably expecting a kiss goodbye.

“Would you two clamp it? Some of us have hangovers kicking in” Mai complained as she held
her pillow tightly over her head.

Duke reached over and pulled Serenity into his arms as he looked down at Mai.

“Awe, did somebody tip a few too many last night?”

Mai growled in response.

“Shut up Duke, I might feel like crap, but it won’t stop me from smacking you.”

Duke snickered as he turned to Tristan.

“Hope you had fun last night. Thanks for coming out.”

Tristan nodded his head as he walked for the door.

“Yeah, I had a great time.”

“We’ll have to do it again sometime.” Duke added as he placed a small kiss on the top

“Okay” Tristan lamely replied as he hurried out of the bedroom.

He saw his jacket and keys laying in the middle of the livingroom floor and quickly picked them
up. He rushed out the door and down to his bike, which was tipped on its side. There was a
sparkly pink jacket draped over the handle bars.

“Oh hell, I must have screwed up majorly this time.......fuck me.” he groaned as he tossed the
jacket into Duke’s car.

He hurried onto his motorcycle and started driving home. He knew Isis was going to be irate.

***Tristan’s POV***

Fuck. What did I do last night? All I remember is stopping in a Duke’s tavern, having a couple of
beers and shooting a few games of pool. I vaguely remember smoking a joint with
.....uh....somebody. Damn, this is bad. I must have drank a lot more than I realized. I can’t
believe I cheated on Isis. I’m scared to go home now. I just know she’s going to kill me. I just
know it. She’s on my case when I’m 15 minutes late, I don’t even want to think about how she’s
going to handle me staying out all night! I can’t tell her I slept with Serenity. I have to make sure
she never hears word of it. It would crush her, and it could hurt our baby. I love my kid more
than to see something happen to it because of me.

I probably deserve whatever Isis does though, after all.... I slept with Serenity Wheeler. I wish I
could remember though! Damn!

I feel so stupid for cheating on Isis. I actually cheated on her. All of her bitching and
complaining finally drove me over the edge. I cheated on Isis.

***Normal POV***

Tristan rolled into the driveway and parked his motorcycle in the garage.

His heart began to race as he walked up the steps.

He closed his eyes before opening the side door. He knew Isis would be furious, he just wanted
to enjoy his last moment of quiet.

He slowly turned the knob and opened the door. He quietly stepped into the house, expecting Isis
to appear out of nowhere ready to unleash.

To his surprise though, the house was empty. Nothing was trashed, nothing was even out of
place. Obviously the walking tornado Malik hadn’t been home yet either. But where was Isis? Tristan scoured the
house, but there was no trace of his pregnant girlfriend.

“Oh man.....what have I done?” he sighed guiltily as he laid on the sofa.
