The Nightmare!

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Hope that this year
is very good for everyone. Back to the story. Now that they have the 3 Sen'nin
Items necessary, what will happen? Hehehe, you gotta stay tuned. Thanks to all
readers and reviewers. It's time for the 19th Chapter and a feature POV of
Otogi. (Did ya think I'd actually forget them? ~__^)

Chapter 19: Meant to Be? *Otogi's POV*

(Tomino Manor)
-Ding-Dong-

Who's that at the door I wonder? Damn this is a huge house. Is that who I
think it is?! Honda?! Looking for me?!

"No I don't know a Ryuji Otogi, now get lost before I call the cops!"

Shigetoshi slams the door and turns around. Why...did he do that? Why
did he tell Honda that he didn't know who I was?

"Why did you do that Shigetoshi?" I ask, confused as ever.

"I thought you didn't want to see him again. He has put you through so much
pain. And then there was a girl with him and another male."

"But still...that doesn't give you any right to lie."

"Otogi?" He says walking towards me and then up a couple steps. "I don't know
how to say this...I've fallen in love with you. I realize that you are my
soul mate." He holds my hands and kisses the back of them. I feel a little
giddish and I could feel myself blush. "Look at you. From your reaction to that,
it seems that you have more feelings for me that you want to admit."

Is he right? I mean Shige is cute and has a great personality, and we've hit
it off really well...NO, no! This isn't right! Hiroto is my koi! My love! My one
and only! I collapse into his arms, desperately fighting the tears.

"Just let it out Otogi. You know where your heart truly lies. Just follow it.
Don't deny a good thing, or what is meant to be."

Are we meant to be? It just can't be true. Have I fallen in love with
Tomino Shigetoshi?

(Shizuka's Home) *Honda's POV*

I thought that I was to do this alone, but I see now that I need the help of
Shizuka. Jou and Kaiba have made amends and now they're back together. I
need to do the same with Otogi.

"Are you ready to go Honda?" Shizuka asks, breaking my thoughts.

"Oh yea. I'm ready. Let's go." I say standing up and walking out the door.

We walk the 18 blocks to Tomino Manor and to the front gate.

"Well, here goes nothing." I say opening the gate.

Shizuka places her hand on my shoulder. I stop and look at her.

"What is it?"

"Are you sure you want to do this? How about that was a woman you saw?
What would you do then?"

"Iya, Shizuka. I know for a fact that was Otogi. I know it was. And I will do
whatever it takes to get him back."

We walk to the front door once again. I knock on the door and ring the bell
a couple times. A minute later, the door opens.

"Honda?!" A very surprised and...naked Otogi says at my presence.

"Otogi?!" I say, surprised at his nakedness...

Shizuka turns away, also surprised to see Otogi answering the door naked.

"Did I come at a bad time...?" I say walking backwards.

"No. You didn't. I was just coming out the shower."

"Ryuji? Who's that at the door?! You're going to catch cold standing...in the
door..." He stops when he sees Shizuka and I.

I look at him and see that he has a robe on with a very noticeable 'point'.

"So...that's how it is Otogi! You...and him?!" I yell at him, tears welling in
mys.
s.

"It's just a misunderstanding! I really was in the shower!"

"Yea, with him! Do you remember before you left what happened with us in the
shower?! I thought you loved me Otogi. I thought we were meant to be! And I
come to try to win you back and this is my reward?! You naked with another
man. You could have at least had the descency to break up with me!"

"Maybe I should have said the same thing about you! I saw you with Shizukarliarlier! Laughing and holding hands! It seemed like you weren't missing me
at all!"

"Otogi. We were headed to the beach to find Jou so we could look for you! I
was worried sick about you! Just look at me! I'm an emotional and mental
mess! And now that I finally find you, to find out why you left...this...says
it all!"

"It's not what it seems! He told you that I wasn't here because he was afraid
that you would hurt me again!"

"Again?! What the hell did I do the 1st time? And by the way, who the hell
is he? I recognize he was the one who opened the door for us earlier."

"This is Tomino Shigetoshi. He took me in when I was abandoned. Betrayed,
misused and abused."

"What the fuck?! Are you in some kind of melodrama stage Otogi?! How did
I misuse and abuse you?! If anything I should be accused of showing true and
unconditional love to you! Being there whenever you needed and wanted me
to. I just want to be with you. That's all I could ever want. I will always love
you no matter if you're with Tomino-san or with me."

I run off the porch and to the gate. I could hear Shizuka behind me.

"Honda! Wait!" Shizuka yells, but I ignore her and run faster. To home.

(Tomino Manor) *Otogi's POV*

"Well, what do you have to say about that Otogi? Do you really love him?"

I look at Tomino. He's smirking. Did he plan for it to be like this? So that
Honda would be mad at me? Did he know that Howas was coming back to
see me again? Tomino really wants me...for more than I am willing to give
him. It just can't be like that. It won't work. It's not meant to be.

"Yes. I really do love him." I say running out the door towards our home.

(Honda and Otogi's Home) *Honda's POV*

Shizuka follows me in and sits on the floor by me. The door opens again...
I look up to see Otogi, still naked...(AN: How the heck did he make it 18
blocks w/o being stopped by the cops?)

"Honda. I lyou.you. I love you with all my heart! What you saw there wasn't
what it seemed! I was in the shower when the doorbell rung. I did have a towel
wrapped around my waist, but I dropped it when I saw you! Honestly!"

Shizuka moves away from me and Otogi replaces her. He embraces me tightly
and kisses me gently. We sit there for a while before hearing the door softly
close. Shizuka must have gone home...

"I thought you were gone...especially when I had that dream. And then I awoke
to see you were gone for real."

I look up at him.

"A dream?" I ask him.

He nods.

"You were with Shizuka. Looking very happy. And you told me that you
wasn't in love with me and you wanted to be with her. It wasn't the first
time I'd had that dream. Each time I would take a nap, or sleep for the night
that dream would come. And it would be worse each time. I tried to
shake it. But it was no use. Until when it finally got to me that night. I
coul tak take it. When I left and was sleeping in Tomino Manor, the dreams
didn't come."

"Dreams..."

Hmmm....there's been a lot going on with dreams lately. That's the main
reason why Jou and Kaiba broke up. He was having very suspicious dreams
about Kaiba's horrible past. And then to read in his diary that he was going
to use him for sex and pleasure. It just took the cake for Jou and he
couldn't take it any more. Maybe there's some kind of connection... I need
to talk to Yugi and Yami in the morning. Hopefully that thing of his can
help us.

I look down at Otogi to see that he's fallen asleep. I yawn and doze off too.

Hmmm...I wouldn't mind being in Shizuka's shoes. *wink wink* Now, are they
