I Hate English Climate
Well, its been a long time, fellow Vikings! ^_^ I have to be honest, my inspiration to continue this fic dwindled dramatically and I wasn’t planning on finishing it. The site being down for so long didn’t help much either and my lack of time between school, work and my social life. But, thanks to a friend and fan, and you know who you are, inspired me to finish, so yes, I will be finishing the fic. ^_^ I’m going to do the best I can! And just a quick note, its been a LONG time since I even looked at this fic so if something is slightly off or wrong, just email me so I can fix it. I hope I didn’t fuck things up too much.
Thanks so much to all those readers who are still reading this fic! ^__^

Danegold: The Viking Brother's Sequel Part III
Chapter 18: I Hate English Climate
Berkeley waited at the front of the camp for everyone to arrive. A few other outlaws were present, also waiting for Yami and the others. They were to accompany them for a bit, then return to the camp. Yami and Yugi were the first to arrive, eager to get started. Seto and Jou came next, followed by a groggy Marik with Avaldamon. Yami placed Yugi on the horse, handing him a small sack which he tied to the saddle.
Bakura and Ryou came running, afraid they might be late. Bakura's hair was all jumbled and he was cursing about not having time to eat anything. Malik was the last to arrive, his now ever present frown plastered on his face. He jumped up on to the horse with Yugi, giving Ryou a death glare, warning him not to join them. Ryou turned his head away, unable to face his friend, if he were still his friend, that is.
"Is everyone accounted for?" Seto asked and did a head count. "Good, everyone is present."
"So lets be on our way." Berkeley said and waved his arm, motioning them all to follow. Yami took Yugi's hand and gave it a squeeze, smiling up at him. Yugi returned the smile and giggled when Yami brought his hand up to kiss it.
"Soon, Yugi. Very soon will we have our son back in our arms"
"Yes."
"Less talking and more walking." Seto scolded. The other outlaws ran a few feet ahead, climbing up trees and rocks, scouting for danger. One waved them on, then did something with his fingers which made Berkeley nod.
“The field is up ahead.” he held his hand up to stop the rest of them. “Let my men go out first and look around. Maybe the guards won’t be there this morning.” He pointed to one of the outlaws and the three of them snuck out of the woods, out of sight. They came back after a few minutes and reported.
“The soldiers are out as you predicted.” Said one “But the fog is very thick and should hide us well if we move quickly.”
“Very well then. Best if you five surround us as we move through, in case we are spotted, you can lead them away from us and back into the woods. Please do your best not to get caught.”
“Yes sir.” Berkley turned to the others.
“Remember, stay low to the ground. Marik, make sure you hold that horse’s head down, and those riding it, please lay low.”
Very slowly, and very quietly, the group entered into the deep, heavy fog. It was hard for them to see where they were going in the thick moisture. Marik walked with Avaldamon’s head down. Berkeley pointed to his left and they could see the faint light from the fire torches held by the guards. The fires moved slowly as the guards paced the areas. The outlaws moved with more agility and silent foot falls. Suddenly, they heard distant shouts and Seto noticed the torch flames were moving quickly.
“We’ve been spotted!” He called to the others. Berkeley looked and confirmed it.
“Everyone run! Head for the forest up ahead!!” the other outlaws stayed behind and helped to lure the guards away. Avaldamon had to run at full speed, with Malik, Ryou, and Yugi still on his back. Marik was doing his best to follow them. The others pulled out their swords in case they were attacked.
“The forest is coming up! We’re almost there!” Shouted Jou, pointing ahead through the fog. Everyone managed to make it into the dense woods and Berkeley told them to keep running. They had lost the other outlaws that had come with them and only Berkeley was left with them. Once they were far enough way, they stopped to catch their breath and rest a bit.
“Whew, that was close.” Said Berkeley, wiping his brow. “I’m amazed they saw us.”
“English climate really sucks ass” Bakura sneered, leaning back against a tree.
“Do you think we lost them?” Asked Ryou, looking behind him.
“Looks it. It’s hard for them on their horses to make it through these trees with any speed.” Said Berkeley.
“Doesn’t matter, they know we’re here” Seto said and crossed his arms. “They may not know we’re Vikings, but seeing us sneaking around in the early morning and crouching low to the ground is very suspicious.”
“Correct you are, Seto.” Another voice cut their own and they turned to see where and who it was coming from.
“Long time no see, my friend.” They all froze as a knight on horseback stopped them in their path.
“Issac?” Berkeley questioned and Sir Issac bowed his head.
“Yes, it’s me.” He looked over at the others and raised an eyebrow, noting their dress. “Norsemen? Here?”
“Please, they are here on secret business, but they’re not here to harm anyone. Except the ones who they are here for.” He smirked.
“Ah, so you must be the ones here looking for your missing son.” Yami stepped forward and narrowed his eyes.
“How do you know?” Issac pushed his blonde hair behind his ear.
“I’ve spoken to the Lady Amberlyn. Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. What do I have to gain by it? But I see you’ve attracted some attention.”
“Indeed they have.” The red knight came out of the trees beside them. He rode proud and tall upon his stallion, coming to stand next to Issac. Yami, Seto, Marik and Bakura immediately drew their swords. “Hello dear Issac. We were wondering where you had gone. Out playing with the rabble, I see.” Marik growled and moved towards him but Berkeley stopped him, narrowing his eyes the red knight. The knight smirked and walked his horse around the group. “Lay down your swords, Norsemen. Just like Issac, I wish you no harm. Yet.”
“What is that suppose to mean?” Malik glared at the man when he passed them. The knight looked him up and down.
“What would one of our own be doing with a bunch of Vikings?” Malik frowned, his face going a bit pale. “Surely you know that fraternizing with the enemy is punishable by hanging?” Ryou and Yugi cowered a bit on Avaldamon, trembling slightly against each other. The red knight smiled at them. “Clearly you two were born and raised here.” he said and walked his horse back to stand by Issac.
“Sir Radburn,” Started Issac “Surely you know that I don’t mingle with anyone. None even my fellow knights, such as yourself.” Radburn put a hand on his hip.
“Oh, believe me, Sir Issac, I know.” He looked at Berkeley. “Oh, I didn’t even see you there. The filth you are covered in matches the forest around you.” Berkeley was not stirred by his insult.
“You saw us, now we have to kill you.” Yami stated, stepping in front of Berkeley. Radburn looked at his nails, hardly frightened at all.
“Oh please, I do not wish to kill you. Not now at least. What fun would that be.” He looked up from his nails and flashed them all a devilish smirk. The red haired knight stroked his slight beard in thought. “I will not tell our men about your whereabouts, but I will tell them that I happened to spot a group of Vikings and English traitors. I’ll make sure we give you at least a day to run, the chase will make it all the more interesting.” He pat Issac on the back. “We all love your neutral nature, my friend. So stay, and talk with your little friends. For we hunt them tomorrow. Bye for now.” Radburn whistled as he trotted off, disappearing among the trees.
"We should have just killed that knight!" Bakura hissed, glaring at Berkeley. "He knows too much!"
"And if we DID kill him," Started Berkeley "We would be in even more trouble for killing a knight. Once they found him dead, the patrols will double."
"He's right Bakura." Said Seto, putting his sword away.
"Best you be on your way." Said Issac. "They know you are here and this whole area will soon be covered. Since Radburn knows you are in this country, I'll play along with him to the other knights and try to lead them the opposite way.” Berkeley bowed his head.
“Thank you, Issac.” Issac nodded and turned his horse, trotting through the woods. Berkeley turned to the others. “Come, we need to move, fast!”
Mid afternoon:
“I’m tired!” Jou whined. “Can we rest now? My feet hurt!”
“hmph. Some fighter you are.” Seto scoffed. Jou stuck his tongue out at him from behind.
“We can afford to take a rest. We’re far from any grounds where knights and guards patrol.” Said Berkeley. “You can ease your minds and legs for now.” Marik tapped him on the shoulder.
"I'm assuming there is a town nearby since I see a church." Asked Marik, pointing to the church just beyond the trees. Berkeley looked at it and shook his head.
"That's a convent, I believe. If it were an actual church, it would be in town. But the town isn't far from this convent. Should be past those small downs up ahead." Marik's smile slowly turned into a lecherous grin as that all to familiar look twinkled in his eyes.
"Convent, you say?"
"I know that look, and you better not do it. You have a husband, dear friend."
"A husband who is acting like a young child and ignoring me this way and that. And I'm not going to deflower them." Berkeley knew that he was lying. That twinkle in his eye and that wolfish grin said enough. But he was not one to meddle in other's affairs. It wasn't his business what went on between Marik and Malik.
"Dont' do it. You'll only raise attention and put us in even more danger. Now come back to the camp."
"Can I just take a little walk?" Marik asked, snatching Berekely's cloak and throwing it over himself. "I've never seen a nunnery before!" The outlaw just crossed his arms.
"That is just an excuse." Marik slipped his arm around Berkeley's shoulder and bent down a bit to rest his cheek to the outlaw's
"Come on, Berk. You were a young, rutting buck at one time." Berkeley narrowed his eyes dangerously.
"You calling me old?"
"Nah, I'm just saying to put yourself back in my boots. You remember how it was before marriage." Berkeley tried to keep a strait face, but he couldn't.
"That is true, my friend! I've had my fair share of whores and drunken rutts. However, once I married I never strayed away from my wife, no matter what type of fight we had." Marik rolled his eyes. "Don't get carried away." Berkeley finished and slid out from the arm wrapped around him. He waved over his shoulder as he wondered back to the others, leaving Marik alone.
Marik grinned and pulled the cloak more tightly over him to cover himself. He walked out from the trees and waltzed over to the convent. He knelt down along the walls to keep from being seen through the windows. Pulling the hood down more to flatten his large hair, he peeked his head up to the window. All the women were praying in front of a small alter. He noticed most of them were older, but there were a few young ones.
The women soon stood up from the alter, talking amongst themselves. Marik took the time to study each one, picking out the youngest ones. One young girl walked away from the others, picking up a basket of flowers along the way. He smirked and ducked down again, crawling along the ground like a lizard to hide in the bushes. The girl walked passed the bush in which he was hiding and went around the back. Quickly, he slipped from the bush and stopped at the corner of the convent building, peeking around it. The girl was praying in front of a cross that was sticking up from the ground, the basket of flowers now surrounding the base. ‘her guard is down’ Marik said to himself with a smirk. ‘Time to go to work’.
“Oh heaven help me!” Marik purposefully strained his voice and fell onto the ground, making the girl yelp. “Please….water! So tired….can’t move….wolves…everywhere!” She knelt down beside him with a look of pure concern and sympathy.
“Oh my, you poor traveler!” she said gently, rubbing his shoulders. “It’s alright now, you’re safe. Come, we have water and food to spare.”
“Bless you!” He said and then smirked inwardly. ‘Damn I’m good!’ She helped him stand up and held his arm as he brought him around the front. Two older nuns were outside the doors and also helped him in after they saw his mock tiredness.
Meanwhile, at camp…
Yugi sat with Ryou, trying to spark up a conversation. Ryou might as well take a vow of silence since he hardly says anything but two or three words anymore. The bad blood between him and Malik wasn’t getting better. Yugi wanted Ryou to be happy now that he knows Bakura’s loves him. Who would have thought that sleeping with his brother would have proven to Bakura how much of a cruel man he was. Not to mention realize his feelings for Ryou. Yugi could understand where Malik was coming from, but his friend should not have taken it so harshly. He should be happy for Ryou, knowing that he is now content with his love life.
But this journey leaves little time for any of them to be together intimately. Yugi hadn’t been with Yami for quite awhile, and he knew his husband was overly stressed out with all this. Yugi’s massages usually calmed him, but Yami was usually in heat just as much as his brothers. He just knows how to control it more. Yugi thought about it and smiled. He missed the feel of his husband when they join and he wanted that feeling back. They could managed to sneak away, and he could cover his mouth to keep quiet. Yugi felt his body shiver at the thoughts and he started to get hot. He had to keep control or he’d look to obvious. He set his sights on drawling circles and designs in the dirt instead.
Everyone else in the party was just kicking around, resting up as much as they could. Bakura was sound asleep up against a tree, snoring softly. . Seto and Yami were sitting on a small cluster of broken stones with Berkeley, discussing the mission. Jou and Malik were way off to the side, talking secretly about the situation with Ryou.
“Don’t you think it’s time to forgive Marik?” Jou suggested, pulling his knees up to his chest.
“How can you forgive your husband for sleeping with your best- well, former best friend!?”
“Well, if you have to blame ONE person than it should be Ryou. He wasn’t drunk and rutting. You know how Marik gets when he is drunk and if you were there, he’d have you. But Ryou just happened to be there at the right time.” Malik sneered.
“That still doesn’t change anything. I hate Marik for his constant erection! He’s like a damned rabbit! Needing to hump everyone and everything!” Jou laughed.
“That is true, but you can’t put ALL the blame on Marik.” Malik scoffed.
“I don’t! Its mostly Ryou I’m pissed off at! He was in his right mind! He should have known better!”
“But you know how starved Ryou was for attention. Being in love with Bakura and getting rejected by him really messed with his head. I don’t believe Ryou was in his right mind either and I’m sure Marik didn’t do much to push him away. But you are taking this a bit far. We need everyone to like each other if we are going to complete this mission. Unity Malik, UNITY.” Malik crossed his arms.
“Fuck unity.” Jou threw his hands up.
“That’s it, I give up! You’re so stubborn, Malik!” Malik gaped at him and stood up, his fist clenched.
“How would you feel if YOUR best friend fucked YOUR husband?!” Jou stood up and faced him.
“I wouldn’t get as worked up as you are right now! I’ve met MANY of Seto’s past lovers and quite a few of them had tried to make the moves on him! But Seto doesn’t drink, so he’s always in his right frame of mind!”
“Lets say he WAS drunk!”
“Then I would understand that it was a mistake! Sure, I’d be mad, but I’m not going to hold it against him! Everyone makes mistakes, Malik. You should know that. And Marik said he was sorry, and wishes that you would forgive him. He’s playing the tough guy now out of pride, but I’m sure if you told him you were sorry, he’d be the happiest man in England. And we all know you miss him.” Malik sighed. “And Ryou has felt nothing but pure guilt. He hasn’t spoken so much as three words! You know he feels awful about this and if he could take it back, he would.”
“Maybe I have been taking this a little to far.” His eyes lowered. “I do miss Marik…and I miss talking to Ryou.” Jou smiled and wrapped his arm around Malik’s shoulders.
“See? Its better to forgive then hold a grudge. No reason to ruin friendship. Now why don’t you go talk to Ryou?”
Malik nodded and got up, heading off to find Ryou. He stopped to ask Yami and the others where he was. Seto told him he was close by, but then they heard a scream, one that was much like Marik’s. Everyone ran to peek out from behind the trees and sure enough, Marik stumbled out of the convent doors, holding his eyes.
“FUCK!! IT BURNS! IT BURNS!!”
Three of the old nuns were shouting at him and flicking bits of what could only be holy water. Another began hitting him with a broom while another threw a cross at him that bounced off his forehead. Marik took this as his cue to start running and took off to hide in the woods with his companions. Yami just smacked a hand to his face and drug it down while Seto worked on calming him down. Everyone else, except Malik of course, was chuckling at the scene that just went on. Marik rubbed his now swollen bump and blinked his bloodshot eyes.
“This proves that you shouldn’t fool around with members of the church. That holy water got you pretty bad, eh?” Said Berkeley, crossing his arms and giving that ‘I told you so’ smirk.
“Actually, one of the nuns threw their soap water in my face. They were washing their hands, or something. The holy water did nothing.”
“Then the cross gave you that impressive bump.”
“Do to the short distance the nun threw it and the weight of it in her hands showed that it was made out of something heavy like wood or gold. That’s what gave him the bump.”
“Give it up, Berkeley.” Said Seto, then he was pushed out of the way by an angry Malik, who gave Marik a hard slap.
“YOU FUCKING BASTARD! TO THINK I CAME TO APOLOGIZE TO YOU!”
“But Malik, sweetie-” Malik crossed his arms. “My dear Malik, the apple of my eye, my moon in the dark night, the blood that flavors my meat, damn I’m hungry!” Malik shrieked angrily and punched Marik square in the nose, making him fall back and hit the ground with a loud thud.
“I HATE YOU!!!” Malik stormed off and went over to Avaldamon, getting up on his back and sitting angrily.
Everyone stepped over Marik and settled down to finish up their rest. Yugi felt the tension in the air and took on the silence among them as a problem. He looked over at Yami next to him, who seemed to be in deep thoughts, or just trying to fall asleep is more like it. He got an idea and he smiled.
“Yami, lets go for a walk.” Yami looked up from his spot on the ground as he was just about to fall asleep.
“You want to walk now?” Yugi smiled and held out his hand.
“I just want to be with you for a bit. Alone.” Yami smirked and took his hand, standing up to tower over him.
Yugi guided Yami through the woods, far away from the group. He couldn't help but grin as they got further and further away. Yami saw the grin, which was very rare to be plastered on Yugi's face. He had seen it maybe once or twice, and he knew he was in for a wild ride. And when Yugi had that grin of determination, Yami knew there was no escape. Not that escape was a problem, mind you.
"I think we're far enough away."
Yugi finally said, breaking the silence. He looked over Yami's shoulder to make sure they weren't being followed then kissed his husband deeply. He wrapped his arms around Yami's neck and pulled him into the kiss, standing on his tip toes. Yami wrapped his arms around Yugi's waist and trailed them slowly up his back, making him moan.
"Wow. I've missed that." Yami said as he pulled away. "I haven't had anything from you in awhile."
"I know...it's because of all this stress we are put under. I thought being alone would help relieve some of that stress. What do you think?" Yugi asked and gave him a little sultry look, which surprised Yami.
"You learn that from Malik?" Yugi kissed him again and started working the ties of Yami's pants. "Eager, aren't we?" Yugi just ignored him and undid the tie.
“We don’t have much time to fool around, Yami.” Yugi said, leaning up to nibble at this collar bone. “We have to make this quick.”
“You know I don’t like to do that to you. You deserve to be treated as a fragile virgin every time.”
“Oh stop with that!” Yugi smiled up at him. “I’m no where near virgin and don’t have to be treated as one.” Yami smirked and lifted him up and laid him on the moss covered ground.
“Are you sure, Yugi? I rather us not do anything at all then mistakenly hurt you.”
“Shut your mouth and fuck me.” Yami’s eyes widened.
“hey, watch your mouth, or I’ll have to do this”
He brought his lips down hard onto Yugi’s and thrust his tongue inside, forcing his lover’s back, thus dominating the kiss. Yugi moaned and thrust his hips up to Yami’s, telling Yami what he wanted with his body language. He gasped as Yami yanked his leggings down to his ankles and kept them there. He maneuvered himself so Yugi’s legs were around his shoulders, his ankles locked. Yugi blushed brightly.
“This is new…”
“you don’t like it? You said you wanted this quick.” Replied Yami, kissing his neck and slipping his on pants down to free his erection. Yugi moaned as he felt the organ pressing against him.
“I like it….its just new, that’s all.”
He wrapped his arms around Yami’s shoulders and pressed his mouth to his husbands. Yami held Yugi’s head and lips in place as he slowly started to press inside him. Yugi gave a short grunt and tightened around him, but relaxed after it made its way pass the tight ring of muscle. He tried to pull away from Yami’s mouth but Yami’s grip on his hair was too tight.
Yami removed his lips from Yugi’s and plastered them to the soft skin of his neck. He thrust himself into Yugi, pulling out half way. Yugi gasped and clutched at Yami’s shoulders. Yami pulled out again and slammed back in, and continued with the fast paced rhythm. Yugi clenched his eyes shut and gripped one hand in Yami’s hair, tugging at it.
“Slow down Yami!” he breathed “Please?” Yami didn’t seem to hear him and just continued on with the thrusts. He hit Yugi’s sweet spot easily and Yugi had to bit his lip to keep from crying out too loudly. He didn’t want to attract attention to them. Yami was grunting in his ear and pounding into him. “Yami….”
It felt good but Yugi was a little upset over the fact that Yami didn’t hear him, or chose not to hear him. But he couldn’t add more stress to Yami than he already had so he went along with it. He thrust his hips into Yami’s to increase his pleasure and Yami’s. It had worked, for Yami groaned and held Yugi’s shoulders down as he slammed into him.
“Yami…I’m going to come!” Yugi whined and panted. Yami reached down and gave Yugi’s member a few quick strokes. Yugi threw his head back and his breath caught in his throat as he climaxed. Yami finished up with two or three thrusts before emptying himself into Yugi, then rest his weight on top of the smaller body. He wiped the sweat from his brow and smiled down at Yugi softly.
“I’m sorry, I got a little carried away, didn’t I?”
“Its alright.” Yugi smiled back. “it’s a good way to relieve stress.” Yami kissed him.
“You’re not a stress reliever, Yugi. I’ve just missed the hot, tight feel of your sweet little ass” he smirked and Yugi blushed prettily.
“You have the devil in you.” Yami smirked and pulled out, helping Yugi get his pants back up and fixing his own.
“I have reason to believe you like this devil, though.” he helped him stand and Yugi wrapped his arms around Yami’s shoulder and kissed him.
“I do.”
Back at the camp, Ryou got up and went to go see Malik, who was away from the group with his back up against a tree. He had his arms folded on his knees as he stared out into the woods. Ryou gulped and came around to his side.
“Jou said you wanted to see me?” He aske softly.
“Yes.” Was Malik’s firm reply. Ryou sat down in front of him.
“Malik, I’m really, really sorry for sleeping with Marik! I-I know I shouldn’t of, and I hated myself after it was over! But I never meant to hurt you! I was just being selfish and wanted to forget my pain with Bakura in any way I could! But it wasn’t directed at you! If I could go back and do things differently, I would! Believe me, I would! You’re my best friend, Malik.” Ryou felt tears well up in his eyes. “And I hate that you won’t talk to me! Its tearing me up inside!”
Malik looked at him and he really did miss Ryou. A lot of this was Marik’s fault too and not all Ryou’s, just like Jou had said. He knew Ryou meant no harm to him. He turned his head to the side and thought a bit more. Ryou’s tear filled eyes and shaky voice told him that he was upset and wallowing on this. He couldn’t be mad at Ryou.
“I forgive you, Ryou.” Malik said softly with a smile. Ryou smiled happily and threw his arms around Malik, hugging him tight.
“Oh thank you Malik! Thank you!! You don’t know what this means to me!” Malik hugged him back.
“All friends fight sometimes, right?” Ryou nodded.
“Right! And Im just glad we could make up! I promise nothing like that will ever happen again! You have my word.” Malik smiled.
“And I know your word is true.”
“Just wait until Yugi hears! He’ll be even more excited then we are! He was really getting worried.”
“Yes, he’ll be quite surprised.”
