The Second Try
The Nightmare!
Welcome back everyone to another event-filled chapter of 'The Nightmare.' I
hope everyone is enjoying the story so far. Oh yea, I hope everyone had a
very Merry Christmas! Thanks to all who read and review! Wuvs ya all! Now
it's time for Chapter 18 and a feature POV of Dream Clown.
Chapter 18: The Second Try
(Turtle Game Shop) *Yami's POV*
Why can't I get it to work like I need to? It did whatever Ishizu wanted...but
I guess I'm not her either.
"Yami? What's wrong?"
I look up to see Yugi looking at me.
"Can't you get that to work?" He asks me.
"The Tauk works, just not the way I need it to."
"Yami..."
"Yes Aibou?"
"I have a bad feeling about something. I can't shake it."
I wonder what it could be...*YAWN* Guess I'm sleepy.
"Yami. You need sleep. You've been up since you tried to take the Puzzle
from me and that was two days ago." He says grasping tightly to the chain.
"You're right. Maybe I can't get the Tauk to work because I'm exahusted."
"Ok. I'm going to bed now." He says kissing me he che cheek.
"You're not going to get away that easily with that cheap excuse for a kiss." I
say grabbing him and pressing my lips passionately against his.
We broke the kiss and looked at each other.
"If we keep this up, then you're not going to sleep tonight either."
"Good point Aibou."
I follow him upstairs to his bedroom. He gets in and motions for me to join,
but I deny his request.
"Why Yami? Aren't you sleeping tonight?"
"Yes I am sleeping, but not here. I'm afraid of what will happen when I do
close my eyes. To be on the safe side, I'm sleeping on the sofa tonight."
He hands me a pillow and one of the blankets.
"Good night Yami." He says quickly turning away from me and covering his head.
I hope he isn't mad...I just want to protect him.
"Good night, Aibou." I say walking out the door.
I leave the door opened and head downstairs. I lay down on the sofa and
cover myself with the blanket. Slowly...I feel my eyes closing...ahhh sleep...
(Shadow Realm) *Dream Clown's POV*
Damn this Anzu. She is a good apprentice, I will give her that. But she doesn't
have what it takes to be an expert manipulator such as myself. I will use her
as much as I need to, in order to get who and what I want.
"Look at this Dream Clown!"
I turn around to see what Anzu's talking about. Ah, could it be? Is Yami finally
going to sleep?
"Well, well, well. We have a yami that's all alone with no hikari in sight."
''You leave them alone Dream Clown!''
"Shut up Marik. Your downfall will come soon, I promise!" I say to him.
"I'm ready whenever you are Dream Clown."
I turn back towards Anzu and grant her permission to use Spirit Capture. She
performs the ritual.
(Turtle Game Shop) *Reader's POV*
Yami awakens in a zombie-like state. He walks upstairs and into Yugi's bedr

He waks to the nightstand and grabs the puzzle. Then he drops it.
"Ai...bou..." He says as he grabs his head and falls to the floor.
Yugi wakes up at the thud from Yami's fall. He looks on the floor to see
Yami curled in a ball, fading in and out of existance.
"Yami!" Yugi yells as he jumps out of bed and by Yami's side. "Yami?! What's
wrong?!"
"Ai...bou...I'm sorry. I couldn't protect you..." He said as he continued to
fade in and out.
"What's wrong with your head?! Is everything ok?! How can I help?!" Yugi
yelled to him, with tear-filled eyes.
"Something...in my head...making me steal...Puzzle." He says as he mentally
fights the intruder.
Yugi looks around.
"The Puzzle? Where is it?"
Yami slowly holds up his hand as to give Yugi the Puzzle. Yugi tries to pull it
away, but it's no use. Yami has a very tight grip on it.
"Ri-Ku-ra...An-zu...making me do this. I can't...gomen nasai...Ai-bou." Yami
says as he fades out for the last time.
Yugi starts to shake and to try to find where Yami could have gone.
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaami!" He yells at the top of his lungs.
(Shadow Realm) *Dream Clown's POV*
About damn time. But..I'm glad. Now, for my other goal...
"I'm so proud of you Anzu. Well done. Now, we must wait until Pharoah
awakens before you can perform the ritual."
"Thank you Dream Clown. We deserved this moment."
"Our ultimate victory isn't won yet, we still must deal with Yugi. Remember
that you didn't get into his mind. So he still knows about Yami and the others."
"Damn. I thought all that came with Spirit Capture."
"In this case, you must personally go and do a Mind Erase, since the hikari
was conscious during Spirit Capture."
"Ok. I will get Yugi as soon as he goes to sleep."
I look at the shelf to see Bakura's Sen'nin Ring, Marik's Sen'nin Rod, and
Pharoah's Sen'nin Puzzle. Bakura and Marik are wide awake I see. What are
they up to, I wonder? They've been unusu qui quiet lately.
"What the hell are you two doing over there?"
'Does trying to get the hell out of here mean anything to you?' Bakura replies.
"Don't worry, you'll get out of here soon enough...but in a very different
way."
Little do those fools know what I have in store for them!

Oh no! Now Yami's captured! What will happen next now that they have the Rod,
