Chapter 16: Achillies Heel
"Who...who are you? Why do you look like me?!" asks Kaiba as he stares at Seth.
"No time to explain! I have to send them back to the world of the dead!" replies Seth.
"Well...well Pharaoh Seth. We meet once again." says Atem.
"That's...that's Yugi and Ryou...but there's Ryou over there!" says Kaiba.
"Iya, that's Atem and Akeifa. Once they were enemies, but now they're friends...allies..." says Seth.
"Atem? Can we kill him now?" asks Akeifa.
Atem nods.
(Outside Kaiba's Room)
Yugi, Honda, Otogi, a few hospital staff members, and some security guards are trying to open the door.
"Damn, what's going on in there?!" yells Honda.
"I have a bad feeling about this...." says Yugi.
Security guards and police come and try to axe the wooden door open, but they can't. The steel axe blade
bounces off the wood.
"Have you tried calling Jou, Ryou, and Malik?" asks Otogi.
"It's like their cell phones are out of range." replies Yugi.
"Anything on the monitors Hiroyuki?" yells one of the guards.
"Iya. The monitors are black." replies the guard.
"Things are getting crazy out here!" yells a voice from the walkie-talkie.
"What is it?" answers the guard."
"Kaiba-sama's room is covered in something...something similiar to a barrier of some sort."
"What the hell are you talking about Masahiko?!"
"It's clear...but it reflects off surrounding windows. Nothing can penetrate it. You have to see it to believe it!"
"I'll be right down!"
The guard leaves.
"I wish I knhat hat was going on inside of that room." says Honda.
(Inside the room)
Marik says a chant and omnious smoke fills the room.
"What..what's going on Marik? What are you doing?" asks Malik.
"Dear brother...I'm just setting the tone for my master's victory."
"You psycho!" yells Jou.
"The powers my masters Atem and Akeifa possess are unparalled! There's nothing Pharaoh Seth can do to stop us!"
replies Marik.
"Katsuya, Seto, Malik, Ryou...stay back. Do not get in my way or I may have to harm you!" yells Seth.
"But what's going on?" asks Ryou.
"Yami no Game." replies Set

The floor of the room melts and sucks everyone in, including Kaiba who's still on the bed.
The wooden door flies open revealing an empty, lifeless room.
"Where'd they go?" asks Otogi.

"Jou? Jounouchi-kun?" yells Ryou. "Wake up!"
Jou opens his eyes and sits up. He looks around to see that they are not in the hospital room. Instead they are in a
room made of mud and stone. Torches, flames, and candles dimly lighting it's surroundings.
"Seto?! Where's Seto?" asks Jou as he springs to his feet.
Malik points towards an altar-like structure. Kaiba is tried to a cross-like slab. Jou takes off running towards
Kaiba but something throws him back.
"What the hell was that?" asks Jou.
"Some kind of barrier designed to keep him in and us out." replies Malik. "I've tried to penetrate it and break it
using my spells, but it's much more powerful than I."
Laughing in heard in the distance.
"Welcome family, friends, and lovers. Welcome to the ritual ceremony." echo's Marik's voice throughout the room.
"I like to call this ceremony 'Pharaoh's Descent'...or how about 'Pharaoh's Death'. Yes, that would be more
appropriate.
"Let him go Marik!" yells Jou.
"No, no no!" That's not possible unless..."
"Unless what!"
"Unless Seth wins the Game."
"What game?" asks Jou.
"Yami no Game. a game of life and death! The loser will die. When Atem wins, the sacrifice of Seto will be more than
enough to resurrect Zorc.. We will return to their time to make sure the dark power reigns. However...if Seth wins...well why waste my timelingling you that. Now let's begin!"
Atem and Seth appear from the shadows and stand on opposite sides of the room.
"Ready? Fight!" yells Marik.
The two men chant and two slabs rise from the floor.
"Attack!" yells Atem and Seth.
Two images appear from the stone and attack each other. When the smoke clears, Atem's image is still alive. Seth's
slab falls and crumbles.
Suddenly a scream of pain is heard. Everyone looks around to see Kaiba screaming in pain.
"Seto!" yells Jou as he runs towards him. Forgeting about the barrier, he is once again thrown back.
"Oops...guess Marik forgot to tell you that each time Atem wins a round, Seto will come closer to death. Four more
rounds." informs Akeifa as he appears on top of a pillar.
'Damn, I can't let Seto-kun die! I can't let those three destroy this world Seto-kun and Katsuya-kun are so happy
in.'
Atem and Seth chant once again and two slabs arise from the floor.
"Attack!" they yell.
Once again Atem wins. Kaiba cries in pain once again. Jou runs up to the barrier and pounds on it, hopin to break
through it somehow.
"Seto! Seto! Are you ok?! Don't die! Seth is going to save you!" yells Jou as tears stream down his face. "I love you
Seto and if you die...then I will kill myself so our souls can be together for eternity!"
"Don't you die...!" yells Kaiba as loudly as he could.
"Seto!" yells Jou once again.
"Will someone shur him up already!" yells Akeifa.
"They won't be so noisy after this round, eh Seth? I knew you were good for something. A great sacrifice!" says
Atem.
"Round 3. If...or should I say that when Atem wins, Seto shall be sacrificed. What a glorious moment that will be
for us!" says Marik. "Fight!"
They chant and the slabs rise from the floor. The two images clash and this time, Seth's is the winner.
"What the hell? Atem?!" yells Akeifa.
"Seth is starting to become a bit stronger than in the first two rounds. But he can't defeat the true King." says
Marik.
"I'm just letting him feel victory for a moment." brags Atem. "Moment over. Time to die!"
"Ro4. F4. Fight!" yells Marik.
'I don't know if I have the strength to continue with this. The longer I fight, the weaker Seto becomes, for I
am feeding off his life energy. But...I can't lose!'
Round 4 follows the same suit as Round 3...Seth's victory.
"Dammit Atem! Stop fucking around with him and kill him already! I know you haven't used that power yet, so do it
already and finish them off!" yells Akeifa.
I just wanted to make his suspenseful. Defeating the current Pharaoh in 3 rounds was too boring. Besides, I know
what he has for I taught him everything he knows about the Yami no Game." says Atem.
"Round 5...fight!"
Atem chants ais bis body begins to shine in a omnious light. The room begins to shake as his light begins to form. Seth
sees this and knows what he is up against.
"Mahado!" says Seth.
"The most powerful one has been summoned by me! Nothing you choose will be able to defeat me!" yells Atem.
'Iya...the sorcerer isn't the most powerful one. There is a force...that can be summoned, but I don't know if Seto-kun
has enough life energy remaining.'
Seth begins to chant... "Ra of most high, use my body, my , my, my life to summon thee...allow me to be thy sacrifice
to awaken thee and to serve thee...White Dragon!"
Kaiba begins screaming even worse than when Seth lost the 1st two rounds.
"Use me!" yells Jou. "In whatever way I can help you Seth, use me! I don't care what you do...just don't let Seto
die!"
Seth focuses his energy and begins to use some of Jou's life energy. Seth attire changes ino a pure white robe as his
body shines in an innocent light.
"No...way!" says Akeifa.
