The moment of truth
Hey all! ok, so I know I'm being a little pre-emptive with this chapter, but I didn't really feel like writing out another two weeks of generally the same stuff. Anyway, enjoy~ and also, thanks to all my readers and reviewers! ok- here it is.

Finally, it was the day before the make up exam, or rather the night. Chazz, despite his better judgement, had spent the last few hours studying with his tutor in the classroom. Now that it was too late to stay inside the school building, they had moved to Bastion’s dorm room. The current time was a little past midnight, and both parties were starting to feel fatigued.
“So, we’ve covered monster effects, related spells, traps and effects that prevent, and some misc. tactics, what else is there?” One sleepy Chazz asked in a serious tone.
Stifling a yawn, the tutor replied, “I don’t think there’s anything left. By my calculations, you should do just fine.”
“Whatever! I’m going to go over this section again, just for good measures.”
Yawning broadly this time, Bastion replied, “very well. I’m going to bed now, so you can let yourself out whenever.” Now he was horizontal and turned so he was facing away from his student.
An awkward silence followed for about twenty minutes after, until it was broken by some light snoring on Bastion’s part. The ever diligent student glanced over his tutor’s sleeping form, before deciding to creep over.
After all this time, the black clad slifer decided against confessing his affection and chose to do nothing about it. He continued to act natural, dodge Atticus and his special friend, and somehow managed to suppress his flustering around his tutor. He even chose to increase the time he spent studying with his current crush without leaving any hints. Right now though, it was late and he was tired.
Bastion’s bed did seem inviting, and Chazz really didn’t feel like walking all the way back to the slifer dorm at this hour. Perhaps the tutor wouldn’t mind if the diligent slifer stayed over. After all, he didn’t seem to mind sleeping with Jaden, so he shouldn’t mind the presence of anyone he knows well, right?
Although hesitant, Chazz eventually worked up the courage to lie down. Quickly, he made himself comfortable. Closing his eyes, he assumed it would be a relatively good night, until...
The tutor, still supposedly sleeping, turned over and wrapped one arm around his student. This was some extremely bad news for Chazz. What should he do now? Part of him wanted to run as far away from there as possible, while another part of him told him to enjoy the moment. If he had more energy, he would have gone with plan A. Oh well, sleep was the most important thing now. After all, he needed to be in perfect condition for that exam.

So there they were, after an awkward morning, the two had made their way to school together. It was time. With the test in front and Bastion to the side, Chazz began his exam. It would take him two hours to finish.
When the slifer had completed his task, both he and his tutor returned to the slifer dorm. Chazz was completely on edge, eating everything in sight while Bastion scratched down some numbers on a napkin. It wasn’t long until the former tutor broke the silence.
“Chazz, according to my calculations, you should have nothing to worry about. Why don’t you relax for a while?”
“No, no no no no no no! How can I relax at a time like this?! I won’t know if I’ll ever be able to relax, that all depends on what mark is on that test!”
Bastion chuckled, “come now, trust me. You did fine. Calm down already.”
“No! Why are you still here anyway?! I don’t need you anymore, so get lost!”
With a sigh, the former tutor headed for the door. “I suppose you’re right. Good bye then. Don’t forget, if you ever have any questions, feel free to ask whenever you want.” The ra then turned the knob to exit.
“Wait! There’s one more thing...”
“Yes?”
“Here.” Chazz said, holding out one white magician Pikeru.
“Well what’s this for?” Bastion asked, eyes wide with hope and confusion.
“Psh, every time I use that in a duel, I end up losing! Since I have no use for it, you might as well take it back!”
The former tutor smiled. He said nothing and took his card, then left.
The slifer sighed. He’d know what grade he achieved by tomorrow. Until then, there was nothing he could do but worry. Maybe he should call back that annoyance, as it made for an admirable distraction. Yes, that’ll do. What kind of lie could he formulate to call back his crush?
Just as Chazz started to formulate such a lie, the door opened. “Sorry to bother you again, I just forgot my deck.” A familiar voice stated.
“Humph, whatever.” The slifer stated as if he didn’t care.
“By the way, I recently heard some interesting news from a former student of mine.”
“And you’re telling me this because?”
“Do you mind if I test his statement for validity?”
“Err- sure, why not?”
Bastion smiled broadly. “Excellent!” He declared, moving closer.
Chazz had no idea what the ra student had planned. He continued to watch carefully as his former tutor came ever closer. Suddenly, in one swift motion, the slifer was hauled to his feet, now face to face with the other. Before he could ask what was going on, Bastion leaned in and kissed him.
