Yuugi ran to Needles side. "He's dead." Yuugi gasped then looked up at Cleo, who stood at the top of her stairs pointing a gun at him. "You killed your own son." A tear rolls down his cheek. "How could you be so cold?"
"All I wanted from the begining was Atemu back." She clicked the gun ready to pull the trigger. "But you ruined it!" She pulled the trigger, Yuugi ducked his head in his arms and heard Atemu scream. He looked up from his arms, Yami blocked the bullet. Yuugi saw blood dripping on Atemu's shoes. Yuugi starred a moment watching Yami fall to his knees. holding his chest.
"YAMI!" Yuugi cried out and ran to his side and shook him. "YAMI, PLEASE DON'T DIE ON ME!" His lips curled while he tried to catch his breath.
"Oh no!" Anzu paniced.
"What should we do?" Jou asked.
"We gotta do something." Seto ran to block them. The other three blocked them too.
"You really think I'm out numbered huh?" Cleo said as Ancient Lizard Warrior apeared by her side. On the bottom of the stairs was Lizard Soldier and Hyozanryu. "All of you will die now!" She said as Giant Mechanical Soldier loomed from behind her. "You can't beat all of them." She smiled sinerstily.
"Stop Cleo...(Cough)...Let them go....just take me." Atemu stuggled to stand. "Do you...hear me Cleo, you got me..Just let the others go." Atemu limped up the staircase holding his heart. Blood trickled hitting the ground as he stepped.
"You got it, as long as your alive you're mine, I'll let them go. Pull back my creatures. They all seemed to have disapeared.
"Yes, as long as I'm alive." Atemu said reaching for Cleo. SHe took his hand and helped him up the stairs and into the palace.
"Your mine now." Cleo kissed him once the door closed. The others outside didn't know what to do.
"I guess we can go, but how do we get home?" Seto asked the others.
"What about him, he promised to come home with me." Yuugi cried.
"Forget him, he chose to go with Cleo so she wouldn't kill us all." Said Seto.
"He did it for You Yuugi." Anzu tried to comfort him but it wasn't working. They saw the palace begining to crumble.
"OH NO!" Yuugi cried. "JOU PLEASE GET HIM OUT OF THERE!"
"Alright buddy." Jou ran in, knowing Yuugi asked him, because Jou was fast from experienc running form the cops. Jou ran in and saw walls collapsing around, Cleo was crushed by a part of the cieling. Atemu was standing in the middle of the palace with his back turned toward Jou. " YAM, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" A pole blocked jou from getting closer. Atemu looked at him, tears pooring from his eyes, blood drenching his hands. "YAM, TAKE MY HAND I'LL HELP YOU GET OUT!"
"NO." Atemu looked away. "WE DON'T BELONG IN YOUR WORLD!"
"YAM, LET'S GO YOU HAVE TIME TO GET OUT, YUUGI WANTS TO SEE YOU!"
"I CAN'T GO BACK NOW." Yami used his power to push Jou out of the palace. Jou heard Atemu say one last thing to him. "Take care of Yuugi for me." THen the cieling collapsed on him.
"NO YAM!" Jou blacked out and all of a sudden he was back outside. Yuugi ran to Jou and grabbed him by his shirt.
"Where is he?" He cried. "WHERE IS HE!?"
"He....He didn't make it Yuge." Jou watched Yuugi fall to his knees, he couldn't breath or speak. He just hid his face in his palms. Jou leaned down to hold him. "I'm sorry buddy..." Jou then thought to himself. "I don't understand it, why did he stay, there was enough time for him to get out." Jou then spoke to the little boy gripping him tightly. Jous hands rested on the little ones back feeling every shake and convulsion with every fient wimper. The others knelt toward the little one. Everyone was holding Yuugi. Sobbing and crying.
"NO!"
