Chapter 14 Pain of Love

Jou and Honda searched all night for Atemu. There was no sign of him anywhere until the very crack of dawn. He was standing perfectly still. Jou and Honda ran to him.
"YAMI!" Jou called out to him but Atemu ignored them and disapeared in the early morning mists.
"What?" Honda said just as they stopped.
"Was it him?" Jou asked.
"Unless a guy from DBZ got real slender, It was him." Said Honda.
The next day Yuugi was allowed to leave the hospital. Anzu walked him home.
"I wonder what happened to Jou and Honda." Yuugi said.
"I'm sure they found Yami by now." Anzu tried to make him feel better.
"I hope so." Yuugi said. Just as they congragated walking by the pier a dark shadow casting over the street stopped them in their tracks.
"Ha ha, You think you saw the last of me?" Cleo's Voice echoed as they relized she and Atemu were standing side by side. Atemu fitted in a thicker collar.
"Don't think this control collar will break, it's more powerful than the last one." She smiled evily. "My man and I just wanted to say good bye. Kill that boy right now once and for all!" Atemu walked toward him ready to kill him. Anzu blocked him. "KNOCK HER ASS DOWN AND KILL YUUGI!" Just as Atemu's hands neared Yuugi's throat he stopped. Yuugi looked up at him, Atemu was restraining himself by crossing his arms across his chest and digging his nails in his shoulders, drawing blood. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU FOOL, KILL HIM!"
"I CAN'T!" he struggled to back away from Yuugi.
"STOP HURTING YOURSELF!" Yuugi cried out.
"IT HURTS LESS TO HURT MYSELF THAN HURTING YOU!"
"WHAT SHOULD I DO YAMI?" Yuugi cried.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" He fell to his knee's still keeping his bloody grip on his own body.
"I WON'T LEAVE YOU LIKE THIS!" Yuugi grabbed the buckle of the device detaching it from his neck. As the mechanism hit the ground, Yami released his shoulders from his bloody nails. Yuugi wrapped his arms around him relieved that he was finally free from Cleo.
"I don't believe this! I wanted Yuugi to die at Atemu's hands, but I see that's not happening any time soon. Skull Knight, Barral Dragon. I've had enough, both of you KILL THAT LITTLE TRAMP!" She pointed at Little Yuugi. Barral dragon blasted at Yuugi but once again he was saved by Atemu's massive body shielding him from the blast, yet it took a chunck out of Atemu's shoulder, revealing bone and partly his spin.
"AAAHHH, I won't....Let you kill my love..." He stumbled to his feet as the Barral Dragon shot him once more, taking out another chunk of his lower back.
"Get out of the way Atemu, It's him I want dead!" She demaned.
"You'll have to take me out first. I do not love you Cleo. I'm in love with Yuugi."He looked at her with the same burning hatred as before, but this time, more hate for her the more she attacked Yuugi.
"If that's the way it's going to be, than you two can die together!" She said in spite. "Barral Dragon has one shot left!"
"Is that so?" Yami raised his arms to block his love."COME ON DRAGON, SHOOT ME!" He shouted at the dragon. Honda and Jou arrived on the seen just in time to see Atemu get shot down.
"NO!" Yuugi screamed as a hole was blasted toward Atemu's heart. revealing his ill beating heart caged behind a few broken ribs.
"Yami, please dear god no!" Yuugi bounded to his side as he sat on the ground holding his hands over his heart. Jou ran over to them as Honda spotted Anzu on the ground and helped her up. Then they ran over to them.
"Anzu, Honda, help us get him out of here!" Jou shouted to them as they got closer to them.
"Skull Knight, Kill him off, he's as good as dead." Cleo commanded. The Skull Knight charged at them lifting his thick heavy sword above his head passed his long devilish horns wich crowned his head. Atemu saw him coming and with a struggle with pain, of his injuries he managed to strike the skelatal hand, breaking it at the wrist. The sword was flung, hand and all. The Knight charged at him once again in an attempt to viciously attack him. Atemu broke the face of the knight with a precise blow with his clenched bloody fist. The knight was rendered usless. Cleo was spotted by Atemu fleaing to an empty storage house. Atemu although injured followed her. Limping away from his friends who watched him confused about his next move.
"Where are you going?" Yuugi asked worried he had a feint feeling about Atemu going into that building.
