A straight flush beats a full house

14: A straight flush beats a full house

Ryuuji stormed up the stairs and pounded on the doors.
As each opened he moved to the next.
Soon all three young men stood in the hallway staring at the enraged cross dresser.
“Downstairs. Now. I have an announcement.” He said and he turned so quickly his skirt billowed around his knees.
The other three exchanged a look and followed the longhaired boy down the stairs.
In the kitchen they found the dice master standing by the sink and watching them arrive.
Kaiba stood near the refrigerator as Jou settled on a kitchen chair and Honda leaned upon the counter by the stove.
“I appreciate the offers you have made to step out, but that only left me alone. I certainly hope this week was not only successful in showing me what I couldn’t have.” Ryuuji began. The three young men shook their heads to negate the words and Ryuuji smiled. “Good. Now, as far as what was intended I have made a choice.”
The ruffles of the skirt crinkled as Ryuuji stepped up to the tall CEO.
“I have a lot of appreciation for what each of you have to offer me, but that isn’t what I had to base my decision on. I decided that I needed to go where I am most needed back. So - Seto you have enough money to buy the best care and hire the best cooks and cleaners to care for you and take all your needs into considerations. Honda, you live with your family, and I have met your mom and sister. For all your blustering, they take care of you, very well.” And Ryuuji had moved toward the brute before turning suddenly and sliding gently onto the lap of the surprised blond. “So, I have to choose Jou. You need me, some one to cook for you, and clean and give you the kind of attention that you deserve. And if you still want me, I plan to give you all of this and more.” He said as Jou's hands reached his hips and pulled him closer.
“Oh, yeah. I still want you. Gods, Ryu. I never expected you ta pick me.” He said catching Ryuuji’s lips in a deep kiss.
“Congratulations, Jounouchi.” Kaiba said as he patted the blond on the back and headed up the stairs.
“Yeah, you got lucky again, Jou.” Honda added pushing away from the counter and crossing the room.
“Thanks, Guys. Ryu, what do we do now?” he asked holding the thin storeowner close.
“I think we should find a nice place and move-in together. I need a kitchen in town to make you wonderful dinners and fatten you up. And it should be large, cause I know that you will have friends over and that way we can invite them to spend the night. It was fun playing card games with friends and we can do that some, too.” Ryuuji said reminding Jou of the many games they had shared in the afternoons at the cabin.
“Gods Ryu, this is gonna be great. We can do . . . . Ryu, why me? I mean, it isn’t cause you pity me, is it?” Jou asked suddenly suspicious.
“No, it’s because I care for you. I need to be needed, Jou. I am made for this. Sharing with some one who needs me. I have to have it, like breath.” Ryuuji added.
“But, you like the fancy stuff. Don’t ya need that, too?” Jou asked causing Ryuuji to look away. “I can’t do that Ryu. I mean you can put me in a tux, but I still look like the neighbor’s dog at one of those fancy shindigs. You need that, too.”
“I don’t need it as much. I will do without.” Ryuuji said.
“And what about the earthy stuff. I mean, you like hiking and camping, like you were with Honda. I mean, you really got off on stuff like that. I ain’t no good in the wilderness. I’m a city boy. Hey, I don’t even like sports all that much and I know you are a football fan.”
“I can watch the game at home with you.” Ryuuji said.
“IT ain’t the same. I mean it, Ryu. I don’t want you to give it up. What can we do?” Jou said, hoping that the brunet had an answer.
“Jou, this week has been so wonderful, I just wish we could go on like this. But, I had to choose. I had to choose you.” Ryuuji said.
“Okay, but what if we could make this go on. I mean, ya chose me, but I could let you choose again. I mean - I have an idea.” Jou said pulling Ryuuji close and whispering to him.
Ryuuji smiled as Jou fell right into the plan and things made themselves fit like puzzle pieces.
The dice had never let him down.

Three weeks later, Jou sat at the table of the apartment that he and Ryuuji had obtained and shuffled the cards, dealing out to his opponent and then settling the remains of the deck on the table.
“You go first.” He said as the other picked up his hand and moved the cards around.
“Okay, threes?” he asked.
“Kaiba, go fish.” Jou said, smirking evilly.
As Seto pulled from the pile, sound filled the apartment.
“You didn’t see that play? How could you miss it?” Ryuuji said, coming through the door followed by Honda
“I was looking at you. How do you manage to make eating a hot dog look so sexy, Ryuuji?” Honda asked, and the Dice Master turned and smiled seductively.
“I was imagining it was someone else’s hot dog, at the time.” Ryuuji said, sliding his hands around Jou's neck and leaning in. “And what a tasty treat it was, too.” He said into the blond’s ear.
“Well, you won’t be eating Hot Dogs tonight, Ryu. You should go get ready. I know it takes a lot to get changed for one of those fancy dinners. Right?” Jou said looking across at the CEO in his tux and knowing how tight the collar must be.
“Oh, yeah. And you are all going to drool over the outfit I am wearing. I’ll be ready in less than half an hour, Seto-kun. Can you handle the wait?” Ryuuji said, winking mischievously at the CEO.
“I’ll be fine, but if you are one minute later, I will just take Jou.” Seto teased. “How do you handle this every night?” he asked the blond.
“That’s why he chose me. I’m flexible, and so I last. Now, while you wait for your date, it is your turn.” Jou said, putting a set of cards on his pile.
“Right. How about sevens?” Seto asked.
“Yeah, I got one.” Jou said, handing Seto the card and rearranging his deck. Seto placed four cards on his pile and looked back to his hand. “So, where you taking Otogi to tonight?” Jou asked.
“Banquet. I’m getting an award of some kind.” Seto answered distractedly.
“And then?” Jou added as he looked over his deck.
“Probably take him to a seedy motel and fuck his brains out, Mother.” Seto replied. “Jacks?”
“Nope. Go fish, and don’t forget condoms.” Jou added smiling broadly. “Kings?”
Seto tossed three to the blond as he glared at him. “I am not having him home by midnight and if you say one more word, I may keep him overnight. That would spoil your breakfast plans, wouldn’t it?” Jou added to the pile before him and said.
“Hey, this is where he spends the night. Got it?” Jou said, “fives?” He added.
Seto pulled two from his hand and tossed them at the blond.
“Jounouchi!” Ryuuji said from the door.
The two turned to see him standing in the doorway in a long flowing gown of deep crimson velvet with his hair in a French twist. Two diamond earrings dangled from his ears and a chocker to match dropped to his collarbone. He wore red high heel pumps and the tips of them stuck out from below the hem to make his look complete.
“Wow, you look like a black haired Pretty Woman.” Honda said from the counter where he was drinking a cup of coffee and watching the others battle.
“Thank you, Hiroto-kun. And as for you two, No one dictates my life so stop this. Jou, you are not my father so stop badgering my date, and Seto; I plan on returning here when we are finished tonight. Settled?” he asked.
“Yes, dear.” Jou said, tossing his last set on the table. “And I win.” He said.
“By one set, only. It’s about time you beat me at something. Well, lets go then. If I have to bring you home, I want to make good use of my time.”
“That’s better.” Ryuuji sighed.
“Well, if you can’t finish, we could always make it a threesome.” Jou said as Kaiba presented his elbow and Ryuuji slid a gloved hand into it. Kaiba turned and stared at the grinning blond as Ryuuji laughed in the tinkling bell sound that he used for this character.
“We may take you up on that someday, Katsuya-kun?” Kaiba said leading the dark beauty to the door. “But tonight, I have plans that don’t include a leash.”
Honda laughed as the two left and Jou was fuming that the CEO had managed to get his blood boiling with another insult and using his given name.
“What are you laughing at? You weren’t invited to that party.” Jou said. “But, we wouldn’t leave you out, this is a four-way relationship after all. You want to play a game?”
“Sure let’s play poker, I’ve been lucky with four of a kinds lately.” Honda said dropping into Seto's abandoned seat as Jou shuffled the cards.
“Yeah, and full houses.” Jou said indicating the walls around them.

:::Okay, hate me? Love me? Want to kill me or beg me for a four-way lemon in the Epilogue?
