Chapter 13
Bakura grinned, leaning over and looking at his sleeping lover. It was dawn, the birds were singing, and the warm wind of summer was just beinning to blow. It was perfect weather. Perfect warm weather for a number of activities...like a Unity Ceremony. He grinned and leaned over more, suddenly giving Mikado a LONG raspberry to his lover's sensitive ticklish tummy.
Mikado twitched and writhed, then jerked awake and shrieked, smacking at Bakura. "NO!!! NO!!! OH NO!!! AHHH!!!"
Bakura laughed pinning Mikado and raspberrying him more. "Say uncle! SAY IT!" he laughed.
"AACK!!! NO!!! Stop it!!! Stop Bakura!!! I have to pee!!!"
Bakura rolled his eyes and stopped. "One of these days I'm not going to believe you, and just let you pee." he said smiling and kissing Mikado. "So...you...think you're ready?"
Mikado blinked up at him, then blushed and smiled, shyly.
Bakura smiled and hugged Mikado tightly. "You've made me the happiest...luckiest man in the village." he purred kissing Mikado once more. "Did my sister and Ryou help you with your ceremony wear?" he asked sighing and relaxing, enjoying their relaxing morning. They had a big day ahead of them. It was customary for the participants in a Unity Ceremony to wear fine clothing, something neither Mikado nor Bakura had ever found much use otherwise in. So Bakura's sister and Ryou offered to help Mikado (as well as the seamstersses of the village) in sewing up something formal, comfortable and beautiful.
Mikado smiled and nodded. "Yes... they tried to make me a woman's dress..." He scowled. "At YOUR request, apparently... but I refused."
Bakura snickered. "I knew you would.” he said ruffling Mikado's hair. "But whatever my pretty little 'bride' picked to wear, I know he'll be stunning." he smirked and ran a hand through Mikado's soft hair. Mikado and the others had picked up the language...no one spoke english anymore...they'd all forgotten it, in favor of Aztec (though that was the work of the gods that they learned so quickly the ancient tongue, and forgot the language of white man.)
"And isn't Ahmose going to be aiding?"
Mikado nodded, sighing and snuggling up to Bakura, always one to get happy and cuddly when his lover was playing with his hair... it was calming and soothing, and Bakura utilized it often when Mikado was angry or upset about something. It was the best way to calm him down.
Bakura chuckled and kissed Mikado's forehead. "My wonderful lover..." he purred closing his eyes and smiling. "I've spent a lot of time out tanning leather...well into the night." he mumbled. He'd been caught a time or two by Mikado, sneaking out and working so Mikado wouldn't have to. Mikado would get so angry! But Bakura was saving.
"Our unity Necklace is the most beautiful necklace ever." Bakura said proudly. "And it will hang right above our bed, reminding us, and anyone who sees it, just how special you are to me, and I am to you..."
Mikado smiled and snuggled up to Bakura. "I love you..." He sighed.
Bakura stood, pulling on his Moccasins. "We should get going Mikado...We've got to dress, and I'm sure Yami will be pissed if we let his cooking go cold after demanding he get up at dawn to start so we'd be done by evening."
Bakura snickered slightly. "Besides, Ryou's probably waiting for you, he's been as eager as you to see us married."
Mikado smiled and nodded, sliding out of bed and dressing, eager and nervous.
Bakura chuckled kissing Mikado once more. "Dont get too nervous." he purred smiling. "You've practiced, you know what to say, and Ahmose will be right there to help you if you freeze and get cold feet." he held Mikado in a warm hug. "And you'll have me. You'll be fine...now go get fancied up for me...while I do the same for you."
Mikado nodded, and scampered from the house, hurrying to Ryou's home. He smiled at the bunnies playing in their pen outside of the place.
Ryou and Bakura's sister were there, Marik was off helping the other Villagers set up for the ceremony ('man's work' according to Marik, who loved to be Ryou's 'manly' lover since Ryou wasn't very manly.)
"Mikado!" Ryou said eagerly. "Oh you're going to love it!" he breathed. "Your clothes are gorgeous!"
"Just as long as it's not a dress." Mikado laughed, hugging Ryou.
"Oh you're gonna love it!" he breathed. "The seamstresses went all out! They wove you COTTON clothes!" he said as Bakura's sister giggled slightly. Cotton was a highly sought after material, as it took long periods of time to clean, spin, weave and dye.
"Calm down Ryou." The girl said presenting Mikado with his clothes, which were dyed brilliant colors, customary in Aztec society and adorned with some beadwork. "Do you like it?" (I'll let you design it precisely, since he's your guy)
Mikado grinned and nodded, looking at all the green and blue on it, complete with emerald feathers from the Quetzal bird that were to be woven into his hair. "I love it."
Ryou smiled. "Oh I cant wait...your big day is going to be so perfect!" he gave a dreamy sigh. "I hope Marik asks me someday soon..."
Mikado blushed. "He's too shy." He snickered.
Ryou giggled blushing as well. "I'm sure he'll muscle up some courage someday...and I dont mind waiting." Ryou grinned. "But I did overhear Yami...intending to ask Ahmose..." he winked.
Mikado laughed. "That will be an entertaining scene."
Ryou nodded, helping Mikado get dressed as Bakura's sister began weaving feathers into Mikado's hair.
"I never would have thought you and Bakura would be a couple..." he said softly. "You're so different..."
Mikado blinked, and blushed. "Well... it was kind of forced onto me, actually... and what can I say... he grew on me... like a mushroom."
Ryou blinked and laughed at that. "Comparing your lover to fungus?" he said amused. "Nice."
Mikado laughed with Ryou. "He IS a fungus. But I love him."
Ryou laughed more. "Fungus lover..." he hugged Mikado tightly once he was dressed, and Bakura's sister looked him over. "You look perfect." she said after a moment. "Nothing more handsome in the village."
Mikado flushed. "Wonder what Bakura's gonna say to make me blush THIS time..."
"Nothing." Bakura's sister said smiling. "He'll be serious today Mikado, he wants your Unity to be perfect. He wouldn't ruin it to embarrass you."
Mikado raised an eyebrow. "I'll beleive it when I see it."
Ryou nodded. "I think the same..." he said taking Mikado's hand. "Lets go see your brother." he said grinning. "I bet he's painted up like a witchdoctor." he giggled. "His mentor's been very demanding when it comes to looking right for each ceremony...I wonder if he's doing ok...last time he had a ceremony Yami made a bad comment and ended up in the doghouse...again."
Mikado snorted. "Yami's in the doghouse at least once a week."
"I thought about asking Marik to build Yami one..." Ryou said as they walked. There were tables set up everywhere, filling with platters and plates. Yami was rushing around the many firepits, cooking. Women helped him whenever they could but Yami was the only one really touching and seasoning the food.
Mikado smiled and shook his head. "He's a freakin road runner."
"I HEARD THAT!" Yami called looking over his shoulder and glaring. "Watch it Mikado, or I'll spit in your food."
Mikado blinked, then laughed. "It wasn't an insult!!!"
"Better not be, I spent all week perfecting the cake for this ceremony." he howled. "I'd better hear thank-yous too." he smiled and waved before going back to his cooking. "Tell Ahmose I said hi!"
Mikado smiled. "I will. And thanks."
Ryou smiled and continued walking with Mikado, passing Marik and the men, who were setting up decorations, spreading blankets about the ground to sit on in shaded areas, and making sure everything was secure. The temple was before them, the steps to the gods' house rising up to meet the sky. At the top, a plume of smoke was rising, the air scented with the smell of flowers that drew a feeling of hope...contentment and love whenever it was smelt.
The seamstresses all giggled waving. "Oh it looks even better than it did on the model!" one said eagerly.
"I told you those colors worked with his cute little hips!"
Mikado flushed. "God, I hate it when they talk about me like that..." He mumbled, eyeing the temple nervously. He still didn't like the harsh brother god... he was afraid of him...
Ryou waved to the seamstresses. "Aww they're just bein polite." he said as they made their way up the stairs. "Your brother is waiting at the top, and I bet Bakura is too..."
Mikado flushed and looked up. Sure enough, there was Ahmose, standing beside Bakura and his Shaman mentor.
Bakura was wearing his own finery (though he toned his down purposefully, wanting Mikado to be most beautiful for their ceremony). "Mikado!" he called waving and smiling. "C'mon!"
Ryou smiled letting go of Mikado's hand. "Good luck..." he said softly, looking near tears of joy.
Mikado smiled at Ryou and made his way up to Bakura. Ahmose was smiling at his brother, looking thrilled.
Bakura pulled Mikado to his side and nuzzled him. "You look stunning..." he breathed taking in the sight of his beloved.
The shaman looked the pair over and nodded calmly, pulling a small bowl of paint from the coals that had been warming it. He walked over to Bakura and painted a symbol on his chest, then nodded slowly giving Ahmose the bowl. "Now...you do the same." he said calmly.
Ahmose nodded and took the bowl, then turned and painted the same symbol onto Mikado's chest.
The shaman looked over the image before nodding and smiling in approval. "Do you both understand that you are hearby commiting your lives to eachother...binding your very souls with your hearts from here until eternity?" the shaman asked calmly
Mikado nodded eagerly, grinning like an idiot. Ahmose coughed to cover his laughter.
Bakura nodded as well, pulling Mikado close in a hug.
The shaman smiled. "Bakura, Do you swear on life and soul...to always be there for your beloved. In sickness and in health, in times of wealth and in times of poverty, in great happiness and deep sorrow?"
Bakura nodded. "I vow on my soul, to always be besides Mikado to the best of my mortal power, to care for him, love him, provide for him and be his support, in this and any life." he said smiling.
The shaman nodded as the painted symbol on Bakura's chest seemed to burn slightly with his passion and love.
The shaman turned to Ahmose. "Now...you." he said once more. It was Ahmose's turn to remember what needed said.
Ahmose tried not to laugh at his brother, who was cuddling up to Bakura quite happily. "Mikado. Do you swear on your life and soul to... Mikado? Are you listening?"
"Huh?"
Bakura snickered slightly. "Pay attention Mikado..." he purred. "We can cuddle later."
Mikado blushed. "sorry..."
"Mikado, do you swear, on your life and soul, to always be there for Bakura? In sickness and health, in wealth or poverty, in times of great happiness or sorrow?" Ahmose recited. Mikado beamed and nodded.
"Mm-hmm..." He sighed, nuzzling Bakura. "I swear it..."
Bakura chuckled and kissed Mikado, watching his lover's paint already glowing brightly with his own love.
The shaman chuckled. "Young lovers are always starstruck." he said rolling his eyes.
"It is my duty, as shaman of the village, and messenger to the gods, that I announce you united, bound by heartstrings, by soul forever to eachother..." he said lifting a beautiful necklace, made of brilliand green, blue, onyx, and pearl beading, with the image of a pair of snakes, biting their own tails entwined on an amulet.
"May your union spring eternal as the snake biting its own tail, May it be deep as the color of onxy, vast as the green oceans, endless as the blue sky and pure as the pearls." he handed the necklace to Ahmose and smiled. Ahmose would get the honor of placing the necklace over their necks. Something he'd wanted, but hadn't asked for being far too formal for his own good in his training.
Ahmose smiled and bowed to his mentor, then turned and placed the thing around Bakura and Mikado's necks.
Below the villagers let out a loud unified cheer, the paint burning against Bakura and Mikado's chest, forming matching symbols on their chests before disappearing. Bakura pulled Mikado close, crushing their lips together.
"May the gods bless you in your every endevor." The shaman said bowing and stepping aside. He smiled at Ahmose. "You did a wonderful job. You may go celebrate with your brother." he said nodding. "You're a fine pupil."
Ahmose once again bowed to his mentor, and stood aside, letting Mikado and Bakura have their moment.
Bakura smiled and pulled away from Mikado, taking his hand and walking down the stairs with his beloved. "Mine forever..." he purred to Mikado nibbling his neck slightly as they walked. He smirked slightly. "Just like you've always been. Fate or not, you're mine."
Mikado smiled, clinging to Bakura. "I love you..." He sighed.
Bakura nodded and held Mikado close. The feasting began shortly after. Cakes, liquors, food, dancing...It lasted well after Sunset. Even Ahmose got a bit tipsy with the celebration. Yami was all too glad to be done cooking and relax with a cold melon full of liquor, talking with Yugi and Malik, who had been brought to Paradise not long after Ryou and Marik.
Bakura sat on a blanket in the shade and merely cuddled his lover to his heart's content.
Mikado was quite happy to BE cuddled, and giggle as he watched Yami and Ahmose, who were quite funny with Ahmose being a bit... drunk...
Bakura nuzzled Mikado and held him sighing contently. "I dont think there is a way for me to be any happier..." he breathed smiling and watching the celebrations. He closed his eyes and nuzzled Mikado once more, stealing a kiss.
Mikado sighed happily, resting his head on Bakura's shoulder. "I know what you mean..." He mumled, snuggling up to his lover.
They continued snuggling and cuddling, sharing a melon or two of liquor as the party progressed. Yami stopped by occasionally, to bring them food. But otherwise they were left to their cuddling.
Bakura let Mikado rest his head against his shoulder, resting his own head against Mikado's hair. Soon enough the celebration began to wind down as drunken exhausted villagers began departing for home. The mess would be cleaned the next day. Bakura finally stood, picking Mikado up in his arms. "Lets go adorn our bedroom wall with this necklace..." he purred winking. "Among other things..."
Mikado raised an eyebrow. He opened his mouth to say something, but yawned instead.
Bakura chuckled and shook his head, kissing his sleepy lover. "C'mon you..." he purred, beginning the walk home.
Yami and Ahmose did the same. Ahmose giggled, stumbling down the road, leaning against Yami as they headed home.
Yami chuckled pausing every so often to kiss his lover. "Gods I love when you get drunk." he hissed pressing Ahmose against the side of a building and kissing him fiercely. "Nothing is sexier..."
Ahmose groaned. "I want you..." He gasped.
Yami smirked kissing him again and grinding against him. "Good..." he hissed in Ahomse's ear. "Because I want you too."
"Mmmm... now..." Ahmose whined wantonly, even though they were in the middle of town.
Yami smirked sliding the vest from Ahmose's shoulders and ground his hips against Ahmose calmly. "Now?" he purred amused. "Right now?"
"Yesssss..." Ahmose hissed, flinging himself at Yami and kissing him.
"Yami, take him home." Marik laughed, walking by, guiding a blushing Ryou. Yugi and Malik laughed.
Yami snickered. "And ruin a perfect oppertunity to fuck him NOW?" he said looking over his shoulder. "Never!" he chuckled turning back to Ahmose and pinching both his lover's nipples harshly. "Moan Ahmose..." he hissed dominantly. "If you want me now, then lets hear you moan."
Ryou giggled despite his blushing. "We really should build him that doghouse..." he said as they continued walking, leaving Ahmose to Yami's torture.
Ahmose groaned loudly, flinging his arms around Yami and kissing him fiercely.
Yami kissed back dominating the kiss easily. He pulled back after a moment, hands trailing lower. "What do you want?" he hissed, hands pausing at the waist of Ahmose's pants. "I love hearing you say it..."
"I want you..." Ahmose moaned in response.
Yami chuckled, stripping away Ahmose's pants and pressing closer, pumping his lover's already erect length. "You're such a sexy thing..." Yami hissed in Ahmose's ear, kissing along the shell of it, before nibbling the lobe. "I'll take you right here...against this wall if you want."
"Hnmh? Wall?" Ahmose mumbled. "what?"
Yami laughed. "Nothing." he laughed kissing Ahmose once more.
Within moments Yami had kept to his word, and was doing Ahmose right there, against the wall of the home they'd stopped against. (Thank GOD it was uninhabited.)
Ahmose was groaning loudly, clinging to his lover and kissing him with a hunger that Yami rarely got to see.
Yami kept Ahmose pinned against the wall as he thrust into his lover over and over moaning hotly. Ahmose was unbelievably hot when he was drunk. Sometimes Ahmose would humor Yami on their 'romantic' evenings and get a little tipsy. But not often...so when his lover was drunk, Yami never said no.
He struck Ahmose's prostate over and over as Ahmose's back suffered soft scraping from the wall of the home.
Meanwhile, Bakura reached their home and put Mikado down. He removed the necklace, climbing the ladder to their bed as Mikado undressed. He hung the necklace from a pair of pegs and smiled. "Perfect."
Mikado yawned again, climbing into bed and reaching up to Bakura, whining at the fact that his cuddle partner was out of his reach.
Bakura chuckled, stripping and laying next to Mikado and cuddled him once more. He sighed softly, closing his eyes. Life couldn't GET more perfect...
~*E*N*D*~
