Chap 13 Blood Stains
Meanwhile Atemu stopped walking to stare at the red sky as the sun sank in the horizon.
"I better get back." He headed back but was stopped by a brigade of duel monsters. Skull Knight, Barral Dragon, and Mefists the Infernal General. Standing with them was Cleo. "What do you want?" Atemu asked her, readied himself to run if attacked.
"I want you to come back to me." She said with a possessive look on her face.
"You won't attack me with those monsters, You want me alive."
"I love you Atemu, but don't think I won't hurt you." She looked at him evily. "one way or the other, you'll be mine."
"No Cleo. My love belongs to another."
"WHO IS SHE...Or....That boy...You love him more than me!" Her face became more snake-like.
"I love him more than life you restored to me." He looked at her with a burning hatred. "You made me hurt him, I can't forgive you."
"YOU FUCKIN' FAGGOT...NO MAN DENIES ME THEIR HEART!"Cleo ran at Atem with a knife....out of nowhere Yuugi blocked her and she struck him down.
"NO!"Atem grabbed the knife from Cleo and held it up to her throat as he gripped her arm behind her back and forced her to the ground. "First you try to control me then drove me mad but now.....whats to stop me from slitting your scaley throat!"
"DON'T DO IT, PLEASE!" Yuugi pleaded holding his chest and struggling to breath.
"Yuugi?" Atem spoke.
"Don't kill her, no one deserved to die like this!" Yuugi coughs up blood and feints.
Atemu feeling conflicted about wether or not he should kill Cleo or not, he throws her aside and drops the knife in a storm drain. He ran to his loves limp side.
"You bastard." Cleo got up on her feet. "Mefists kill that boy!" She commanded. "HE CAN'T HAVE ATEMU, HE'S MINE!" Mefist kicked the hips of his horse and swung his battle ax at Yuugi but Atemu blocked him by quickly throwing his body over the little one, taking a blow from the ax, right in his spine. He shouted in pain as Mefists rode further away but turned back around to hit the target.
"STOP, DON'T HIT ATEMU!" Cleo shouted at Mefist. "Barral Dragon do something!" The dragon shot his nasal gun at Mefists blowing him to peices, horse, ax, and all. "I lost another servant!" She complained. Just then Jou, Anzu, and Honda appeared on the seen.
"What's going on here?" Jou yelled at Cleo then saw Yuugi laying on the ground, and Atemu protecting him.
"Their hurt, what should we do?" Anzu asked.
"JOU!" Atemu called to him. Jou rushed over. "Take him and get out of here." He said.
"But what about you." Jou asked.
"don't worry about me. Just get him to the hospital!" He demaned. They ran away leaving Atemu to face the enemy alone.
