Chapter 13: Suicide or Murder?
"Noo...leave me alone!" whines Jou as something weakly, but forcefully pokes his side.
"Kat...su...ya..." a very weakened voice calls out.
Jou finally opns his eyes and looks towards Kaiba.
"What?! It's early, even for you!" Jou says as he reaches over Kaiba.
"Huh?! What's this?!" asks Jou as he feels something dampening the sheets. "Damn, I know he didn't...
well maybe he just had a dream about me."
Jou turns on the lamp and looks at Kaiba again. This time he sees it.
"SETO!!!"
Five minutes or so later, Kaiba's being put into an ambulance and rushed to Domino Hospital.
Jou stands outside Kaiba's oom and looks in the window. A hand touches Jou's shoulders and he
jumps. He urns around to see Honda and Otogi.
"We say the news." says Honda. "What happened?"
"It's 4am. What were you two doing up?" asks Jou.
"Actually I was up." replies Otogi. "I was going to Black Crown early today when the news exclsive
came on. I tried calling everyone, but I could only gn ton tough with Honda."
"So, what happened Jou?" asks Honda.
"I don't know what happened...something woke me up and I felt something damp on Kaiba. I though he
was having a dream about me. I was going to clean him up, so I turned on the light and I saw it was blood,
so I immediately dialed 911."
"Is he still alive?" asks Honda.
"Yea. He is. That man is too damn stubborn to die."
"Do you think he tried to kill himself? I heard there was a razor found." Otogi says.
"I don't know. I was sleeping when it happened!" Jou says taking a deep breath, as he tires to fight the
tears.
"Excuse me. Which one of you in Jounouchi Katsuya?"
The three turn around to see an officer."
"I'm him." replies Jou.
"Could you please come with me."
Jou and the officer go outside and into the patrol car.
"What did I do?" asks Jou.
"I just need to ask you some questios concerning Kaiba-sama's present state."
"Ok..."
"Why were you at Kaiba Manor at such an hour?" asks the officer.
"I usually stay the night with him." replies Jou.
"At one point in your life, you and Kaiba-sama didn't get along too well, correct?"
"Yea...but that was over 2 years ago."
"Did you have any thoughts of killing him?"
"IYA! Why would I want to kill the man I love?!"
"Jounouchi-sama, do you think he may have tried to kill himself?"
"Suicide?" sighs Jou. "I don't know."
"So tehre is that potential that Kaiba-sama may have wanted to end his life. Especially after that video
of you and him went public."
"No! Seto wouldn't want to end his life that way!"
"So you did it!"
"NO! I was asleep!"
"Do you think that someone else may have done it?"
"No. There was no one else in the room at the time with us."
"Arigatou, Jounouchi-sama."
Jou quickly exits the patrol car and goes back to ICU. He peeks in to see Honda and Otogi standing next
to Kaiba's bed. He opens the door and goes in.
"About time...Katsuya." says Kaiba as he weakly smiles at Jou.
Honda and Otogi leave the two alone.
"What happened Seto?" asks Jou as he holda Kaiba's right hand.
"I...don't know. I was asleep, then I felt something on me...smothering me and the next thing I knew, I woke
up here."
"Shhh. Don't talk too much. You've lost a lot of blood from your cut. But...I just want you to answer me this
one question Seto."
Kaiba looks into Jou's eyes.
"Do you want to die?"
