chapter 11
A/N: OK. So since I have only like 5 reviewers (oh, and I am very thankful to those of you who actually do review) I got discouraged. I had finals and I kinda got lazy afterwards and since no one new reviewed I really didn’t want to update. I should really just e-mail new chapters to those who review.
By the way, what is the best way to kill a bum who is dating your little sister? My little sister is dating this guy who barely graduated from high school with like a 1.0 GPA, doesn’t go any college, not even to a community college where any high school drop out can go to, and on top of it all, he doesn’t have a job. He gets money from his parents, but they stopped giving him money so now he gets money from my little sister, who is now broke, so she gets money from me to spend on that loser. I don’t understand what she sees in him. She is trying to enroll him in a community college, but by his reaction I don’t think that will ever happen. He is such a jackass and I just want to stab him. I mean I really want to literally put a knife through his chest. Where does she find these losers?
Anyways, on with the story.
Chapter 11
Jou’s honey-colored eyes were wide as he surveyed the variety of foods on the table. His stomach was growling and he couldn’t wait any longer.
Forgetting all manners he slipped down on a chair and dug into the food. He took everything that he could reach and ate everything on his plate.
Kaiba smirked, watching his puppy chow down the food. It was a very amusing site, to say the least. Jou was like a bottomless pit, swallowing everything he could grab. It was amazing that he didn’t choke on everything.
Seto just got himself a salad, feeling quite hungry, but for something other than food. His plan to seduce Jou until he could quiet the boy enough to be certain that he wouldn’t tell anything to anyone had backfired on him. Seto Kaiba, CEO of a multinational, billion dollar company, was falling for a common boy who possessed nothing.
Nothing except for irresistible, golden hair; that warm, glowing skin; and that impossibly tight, perfectly sculpted…
Kaiba shook himself out of his thoughts. He couldn’t afford a hard on right now. He didn’t want to come off like a slut to Jou.
Looking at the golden-haired boy lean back holding his belly, a look of complete joy on his face, Kaiba smirked, unconsciously licking his lips. Jou was just too cute for his own good.
After dinner Kaiba took Jou to the living room. It was always good for a person to relax after a hardy meal, and that was the most Kaiba had ever seen anyone eat at once.
Kaiba lay down on the sofa, pulling Jou next to him. He had chosen one of the larger, more comfortable sofas, but it was still small enough so that Jou had to be pressed up against him. Golden eyes shone in the light, looking at him sheepishly, before full, red lips closed the distance between them, giving him a kiss on the mouth. After the kiss Jou turned around, cuddling his back into Kaiba’s hands. Kaiba took a moment to kiss the exposed neck before drawing Jou closer to his body.
This was a perfect moment. It was hard to believe that it was just a week ago they had been shouting obscenities at each other. It was as if they had been together from the beginning of time.
Holding Jou closer, Kaiba closed his eyes. He wasn’t ready to admit it out loud. Maybe he would never be ready to admit it to anyone else. But he admitted it to himself that he had to have known Jou intimately before.
Closing his eyes, memories of a golden boy passed through his mind. Unconsciously, he held Jou closer, not wanting to lose him, again.
As Seth entered his house and took in the situation there, his heart almost broke in half at what he found.
Jono’s jewelry and clothing were scattered all over the floor and the blond was nowhere to be found. All the servants in the household were looking for him, shouting his name in an attempt to find him.
Seth had just frozen in time. His lov… slave had run away and Seth knew that it was his fault. He had been cold to Jono and now the blond had gone away from him.
“He is not in the palace. We searched it inside and out,” one of the slaves informed the rest as he and a few others walked in, exhausted.
Seth didn’t ask any further questions. He couldn’t tell anyone, even Jono, that he loved the blond, but he still wanted him near him, wanted to hold him, make love to him, know that he will be there when he needed him.
Seth got on top of his horse and headed out of the palace. He needed to find Jono, if it was the last thing he did. Seth had decided that his slave would follow the river, seeing as it was the only source of water and that his slave wouldn’t be stupid enough to wonder into the depths of the red land.
Ra had already finished making his journey across the clear sky and was now resting. With the darkness it would be harder to find the blond, but Seth never gave up. Never!
It wasn’t until Ra was about to rise in his chariot once more that Seth finally spotted a mop of blond hair in the distance. As he dismounted his horse to approach, his chest tightened a bit more at the sight.
Jono was lying down on a stone he had found. The sand hadn’t been able to get to him there so he wouldn’t suffocate. There were dry tears on his cheeks. He was in the fetal position, his arms around himself trying to shield himself from the cold of the Egyptian nights, his frail form still shaking in the light morning breeze.
Seth approached his slave carefully, making sure not to disturb the sleeping boy. With care, he gathered the golden boy into his arms and started leading him back towards his horse. It would take him until midday when Ra reached exactly above his head, until he was able to reach the palace.
Seth had been surprised to find his slave so far away. He didn’t think the boy would be able to walk this far.
Seth mounted his horse, still holding the dormant form of his new lover in his arms. He positioned the boy so that the other was leaning on him, once again surprised at what a deep sleeper the blond was.
The horse started moving slowly back towards the palace. Seth made sure that Jono didn’t wake up, though he was now starting to think that nothing could possibly wake the boy up once he was asleep.
During his journey, Seth thought about his situation. He knew that he couldn’t bear the thought of his salve running away again. But also, he couldn’t bear to see him in chains either. That left him with one other option: to confess his feelings for the boy to Jono, but, being brought up the way he was, he couldn’t really do that either.
The slight stirring of the blond brought him back form his thoughts. As he looked down, he was one golden eye open only to close again from the now intense sunlight. A few seconds later a very scared and confused Jono jumped up, almost falling off of the horse, opening his eyes to stare at Seth.
Blue eyes opened to find Jou’s golden one’s staring at him.
“Are you okay?” came the soft voice. “You looked like something was disturbing you.”
Kaiba smiled. His Jou was so caring. He kissed Jou on the forehead, holding him even closer.
“I am sorry.” He knew Jou probably wouldn’t understand it, but he felt the need to apologize.
Seto Kaiba was a proud man, but first, he was a smart man, and he wouldn’t repeat the same mistakes of his past.
Please review (unless you want me to disappear again. I mean I am writing a story for free. And it’s not like I am asking for money.)
