Chapter 12
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Yami ended up spending the night with Ahmose... neither ended up getting more than 6 hours of sleep... someone was frisky. They awoke early, when Ryou's bottle was glowing like a nightlight... seeming quite content.
"ugh... put something over the bottle... it's keeping me up." Yami whined.
Ahmose grunted and slowly opened his eyes. "Hmm? What? Bottle? Oh... it's glowing... why is it glowing?" He asked, looking at the thing.
"I dunno but put a shirt over it or something!" Yami whined burying his head under his pillow. "Damn glow-wormesque bottles!"
Ahmose sighed. "Ryou?" He called, just on the off chance that the boy could hear him. "Are you ready to come out now?"
Yami groaned and smacked Ahmose with his pillow. "You're talking to a bottle." he grumbled. "Just cover it up with a sock or something until morning! It's...." He peered up. "Gods it's 5 am... I shouldn't be concious at this hour!"
Ahmose snorted and waved his hand. A moment later, a shirt flew from the laundry hamper in the corner and covered the bottle. "There. Now stop whining and go to sleep."
Yami grinned and cuddled into Ahmose and laughed. "Thanks." he mumbled and went RIGHT back to sleep as if nothing had happened.
Ahmose snorted and rolled his eyes, but joined Yami. However, only an hour later, Ahmose's alarm clock went off; he had forgotten to disable the alarm for Christmas Break.
Yami woke up livid. "ARHGH!!!" he howled chucking the thing across the room. "Is it a CRIME to sleep in this house or WHAT?!" he howled pouting and huffing, crossing his arms.
“Hey..." Ahmose yawned, rubbing his eyes. "What did you do to my clock?"
"Dismantled it the old fashioned way." Yami answered calmly. "Get one that doesn't wake me up."
Ahmose groaned. "You asshole..." He grumbled, letting his face flop back down into his pillow.
"You're the one who set that thing to the asscrack of dawn." Yami grumbled flopping back down as well.
Ahmose snorted. "It would do you some good to wake up on time every now and then.”
Yami groaned. "Whatever." he groaned. "Go poke at the genie or something mister early bird."
Ahmose just grunted, and a moment later, he was snoring.
Yet again the two teens slept. The THIRD time they woke up, it was because the dogs cold noses were not so good against nude flesh.
Ahmose snickered as Yami spazzed out. "Cold nose on your ass, hmm?" He teased, reaching over and scratching Abana's ears. The dog wagged her tail and licked Ahmose's wrist.
"GODS!" Yami pouted. "I really hate your dogs sometimes..." he mumbled shaking his head. "We may as well get up... there's no sleeping in this house."
Ahmose chuckled and sat up, leaning over Yami and kissing the dog's nose. She wagged her tail and licked his face.
"Awww... do you have to go outside? Yami will take you out! Get Yami!!!" Ahmose cooed, and the dog immediately pounced Yami, licking him all over.
"GODS!" Yami howled smacking Ahmose in the arm HARD. "You ASS!" he howled. "OFF! OFF! GET OFF!"
"Ow!!!" Ahmose yelped, but sat there and laughed before heading to the bathroom, leaving Yami to the dog.
By the time Ahmose came back, Yami had dressed and was still fighting off the dog. "GET it off of me!" he said sternly. "Don’t sick these things on me! You KNOW I prefer cats!"
"Awww... but they love you!" Ahmose snickered.
"Unless you want me taking you to the most public place I can find and fucking you blind, you'll get the dog off of me." Yami said warningly. "I'm not bluffing either, I'll do it!"
Ahmose smirked. "You can TRY. Abana. Come on, let's go outside." At the word 'outside' the dog bounded over to Ahmose, who smiled and walked out of the room with the dog, retreiving Enehy from Mikado's room.
Yami sighed and shook his head deciding to accompany Ahmose on the dog walking.
They weren't gone long, Ahmose's dogs did not do well in the cold, so they were out for less than ten minutes. When they returned inside, Ahmose fed them, then headed back to the bedroom. He removed his shirt from Ryou's bottle, and picked it up. He looked at Yami. "Shall we try again?"
Yami nodded. "Sure thing." He said plopping down onto the bed. "Summon away!"
Ahmose smiled and nodded, and rubbed the bottle.
A soft mist arose from the bottle and Ryou appeared looking as though he'd just woken from a good nap. He groaned softly and rubbed his eyes looking around dazedly.
Ahmose blinked and slowly took a step towards him. "Ryou?" He called softly.
Ryou blinked and shook his head a bit, losing his balance and toppling over onto his butt. "Ah!" he squeaked confusedly. "ouch..." He looked up at Ahmose and rubbed his head a bit. "Ahh... Lord Inarus... I feel funny."
Ahmose blinked, then grinned and quickly knelt beside him. "Are you okay? What can you remember? what's the last thing you remember?!"
Ryou shook his head dazedly and groaned. "Ah...um..." He closed his eyes. "Lord master Anubis...h-he said I'd come back..." he mumbled. "a-and...um..." he shook his head. "My head is fuzzy..."
Ahmose sighed. "It's okay... Why don't you come into the kitchen and have something to eat why you try to sort out your thoughts?"
Ryou shook his head softly. "Th-that's ok Lord Inarus." he said softly. "I'm not hungry. Just confused. Is Master ok? H-he didn't break his promise did he?"
Ahmose blinked. "Huh? Oh... you mean Marik?"
Ryou nodded. "Is he ok?"
Yami blinked. "You...don’t remember?" he asked amusedly.
"Remember what?" Ryou said confused.
Ahmose sighed. "Are you feeling okay? I can help you sort out your memories and figure it out..."
Ryou stood shakily. "I'm ok...just disoriented....thank you for asking Lord Inarus." He cooed.
Ahmose sighed. "Well, let's get you something to eat anyway... you have to eat. You're mortal now, Ryou."
Ryou blinked. "I am?" He said confusedly. "But...I was just in my bottle...are you sure?" he said looking at his hands slowly. "Lord Inarus...are you feeling ok?"
Ahmose sighed and nodded. "You've been living as a mortal for quite some time now. You just didn't remember us. Are you sure you don't want me to help you organize those memories?"
Ryou offered a warm smile. "I'll be alright Lord Inarus...I'm just a little disoriented..." he cooed taking a few practice steps before smiling. "would you like me to make breakfast for you?"
Ahmose smiled. "It's okay. Yami can cook for us."
Ryou stared. "You don’t make master pharaoh cook!" he screeched. "How indignant!"
Ahmose raised an eyebrow. "He's not a Pharaoh anymore Ryou..." He sighed. "I think maybe you should stay with me until you're... a bit more clear on things... you seem to be a bit out of it..."
Ryou nodded slowly. "Oh...ok." he cooed smiling. "I'll go make breakfast now..." he murmured and wandered out.
Yami blinked. "Uh....ok...someone's missing a few marbles."
Ahmose nodded. "Which is why I'm keeping him here until he's ready to go back to Marik..."
"He must be disoriented...three thousand some odd years ARE a lot for anyone..." He said after a moment. "That's well over 30 lifetimes..."
Ahmose nodded. "Over three hundred, actually." He said. "I'll keep a close eye on him." Ahmose said, heading to the kitchen.
"...smartass." Yami grumbled. "It's too early for math."
In the kitchen Ryou was looking around, very confused. "Ahh...um...." he squeaked. "Lord Inarus...um...."
Ahmose walked in and smiled. "Sit down, Ryou. I'll make breakfast." He said, guiding Ryou to the small table. "What would you like?"
Ryou blinked. "Lord Inarus... I'll eat whatever you give me." He said looking at him oddly. "Why give me a choice?"
Ahmose blinked, then sighed and shook his head. "You're not a genie anymore Ryou... you're free..."
Ryou blinked. "Really? You mean it? You're not tricking me are you?" he said looking absolutely thrilled.
Ahmose sighed and turned, walking over to Ryou and kneeling before him, taking his hands. "Ryou... you must listen to me very... very carefully... Yes... you are free. But your mind has been... messed up... confused... You have GOT to stay WITH ME until you remember EVERYTHING, okay?"
Ryou blinked. "Why?"
Ahmose sighed. "What's the last thing you remember?"
Ryou grinned. "Most recent?" he asked. "I think....um...I dunno..."
Ahmose sighed. "Well... just trust me, okay?" He smiled. "You're missing a LOT of memories right now... not all of them are pleasant, but... they're necessary..."
Ryou giggled softly. "Oh. Ok." he said calmly, sitting on one of the chairs and swinging his legs. "So...I'm free?"
Ahmose nodded slowly. "Yes... but you must stay here until you remember everything."
"Oh....why?" He asked blinking. "I want to go outside."
Ahmose sighed. "Ryou... you have to stay in here with me and concentrate on your memories. Once you remember everything, you will be free to do whatever you wish. But right now... with the memories you're missing... you can... look, it's bad... Please... just trust me. For your own sake... for Marik's sake..."
"I can what?" Ryou said confusedly. "I'm free! I want outside!"
Ahmose sighed and turned to look at Yami. "I think... we may need Seto again..."
"Oh hell no. I am not messing with him. He's an ass. Last time we used him he sent Ryou into a coma!" Yami argued. "Making him mess with Ryou's mind doesn't sit well with me."
Ahmose frowned. "Well, Ryou's too confused and his mind is jumbled up. I think Ryou will be more of problem than Seto will..."
"How so? He's just looking around dazedly. It's not like he's making the furniture dance." Yami reasoned. "We'll just watch him. It's just like baby sitting."
Ahmose frowned. "But how long before he decides he wants to leave? Ultimately, I can't stop him... Yami... if he goes to Marik right now... like this... he could cause even more damage to him... Marik's in a make or break state right now. We CAN'T let Ryou NEAR him until he remembers EVERYTHING."
"Why not? What could Ryou possibly do?" he said watching as Ryou began playing with one of the dogs. "He seems harmless enough."
Ahmose sighed. "Just trust me, Yami. We have to get Ryou's memories organized as soon as possible."
Yami nodded. "Alright." He said softly.
Ryou grinned. "So I want to go now." He said getting up. "Master is waiting!"
Ahmose's eyes widened and he turned. "Ryou! No!!!" He walked over to him. "You can't go to Marik... not yet..."
"But...he's master!" Ryou said firmly. "I'm supposed to be serving him!" He wrinkled his nose at Ahmose. "You are making it difficult!"
Ahmose sighed and nodded. He placed his hands on Ryou's shoulders. "I know... but Ryou... there are things you do not remember... things that have happened. Bad things... and you can't see Marik until you remember them. It's very... VERY important... please Ryou... trust me..."
"But...I want to see him..." Ryou said looking sad. "Cant I just ....visit? I promise to be good!"
Ahmose sighed and shook his head. "No Ryou... I'm sorry... once you remember everything, I'll take you right to him, but not until you remember... If you don't remember... you could hurt him without meaning to..."
"How? I'm not mean!" Ryou said scoldingly.
Ahmose nodded. "I know, Ryou... but... look, this is a very sensitive situation... I really can't explain it. You're just going to have to try to remember and trust me..." He looked at Yami. "Bring me Seto..."
Yami nodded and hurried into Ahmose's room, returning with the bottle. "I don’t think it's a good idea..."
Ahmose sighed. "I don't know if I can organize his memories myself... I guess it would be a good idea if I tried, first..." He said, placing the bottle on the floor. He looked at Ryou. "Will you let me try?"
Ryou blinked. "Oh of course Lord Inarus. You don’t need to ask." he said calmly.
Ahmose nodded. "Okay..." He said, resting his hands on Ryou's head. He closed his eyes, and concentrated, probing Ryou's mind and beginning to nudge his random thoughts around, gently herding them around and shuffling them into place.
Ryou groaned softly, looking ready to pass out as Ahmose worked, and about halfway through, he slumped onto Ahmose, trembling and sniffling, looking in a great deal of pain. "Ow...no more..." He grumbled weakly. "hurts..."
Ahmose sighed and nodded, smiling and stroking Ryou's hair. "Shhh... it's okay... we'll try to finish up later. The sooner we finish, the sooner I can take you home to Marik."
Ryou whimpered softly and nodded. "I want master..." he mumbled. "Finish...so I can go to him."
Ahmose smiled and shook his head. "Let's rest and get some breakfast. We'll attempt more later." He said. "What would you like to have?"
Ryou sat up slowly and rubbed his head. "I-is... waffles ok?" he asked still looking greatly confused.
Ahmose smiled and nodded, helping Ryou up and into a chair at the table. "Sure. I'll make Belgian Waffles."
"Oooh... me too!!!" Mikado sang from the doorway, walking in rubbing his eyes. Ahmose chuckled at his brother, shuffling around in his pajama pants and bedroom slippers.
"Put on a shirt Mikado, you'll catch cold."
"The apartment is heated."
"The kitchen is STILL cold."
Yami chuckled as Ahmose and Mikado began their usual playful arguments. "Be careful Mikado, Ahmose might turn you into a toad or something!" he called teasingly.
Ryou pouted softly and looked around, before tottering off. He was in search of interesting things, and there was nothing like that here. Just the crazy long haired man who wanted to keep him from his master.
Ahmose immediately went after Ryou. "Ryou?" He asked, laying a hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong? Mikado!!! Watch the waffles!!!"
"Whatever..." Came the reply.
"Ryou?" Ahmose asked again.
"Nothing." he said offering a smile. "I just want to go outside."
Yami chuckled. "I think you'd be a bit cold outside in those clothes."
Ryou shook his head. "I wouldn't get cold!"
Ahmose smiled. "Right after we eat, I'll work on your memories again, okay? We want to get you back to Marik as soon as possible."
Ryou wrinkled his nose. "I want outside!" he said crossing his arms and giving a childish pout. "You SAID I'm free! I want to go outside! Do you know how long it's been since I've been outside?!"
"About a day." Yami said choking back a laugh.
Ahmose rolled his eyes. "Yami, hush." He said, then smiled and took Ryou's hand. "Come here..." He said, and pulled Ryou over to the sliding glass door in the living room. He opened it, and stepped outside with Ryou, their feet crunching in the snow. There was nearly three feet of it on the ground, but only six inches on the balcony, since Mikado kept shoveling it. Ahmose smiled and looked around at the snow covered town, decorated for Christmas.
Ryou grinned broadly. "Ohhh!" he said eagerly leaning over the railing. "It's beautiful! White stuff everywhere!" He blurted giggling and making footprints in the snow delighting in the crunchy sound it made. "I like outside!"
Ahmose chuckled. "It's snow."
"Well I like it." Ryou said calmly leaning over the railing again, trying to poke a branch of the nearby tree and shake snow off of it. "It's pretty!"
Ahmose smiled and nodded. "Yes it is. You've never seen it before?"
Ryou looked thoughtful for a long while. "I....um...I think I might have....I don’t really...remember."
Ahmose nodded. "It's okay. We'll work everything out."
Ryou grinned and frowned when he couldn't reach the branch and leaned farther. "Ugh!" he grunted, reaching for all he could.
"Ahmose watch out!" Yami yelped just as Ryou toppled over the railing.
Ahmose yelped and darted forwards, grabbing Ryou's ankle. "Ryou!!!"
Ryou squeaked and twisted, looking at Ahmose. "I fell." He said calmly. "Stupid tree..." and with that he swiped at it, completly missing it. However, the branch he'd been reaching for shook violently, snow toppling down on top of Ahmose.
Ahmose yelped when snow tumbled down his shirt, and he heaved Ryou back up onto the balcony, shivering.
Ryou giggled softly. "You're cold!" he said pointing calmly. "You should wear warmer clothes." He was in a harem outfit, yet he showed not one single sign of being cold.
Yami snickered. "Yeah Ahmose, start wearing what he wears! I'll stick money in your pants!"
Ahmose turned and gave Yami a look, flipping him off. "Ryou, wanna come back inside now?" Ahmose asked. "I'll bet the waffles are almost done."
Ryou shook his head. "No thank you. I wanna sit right here and look at the snow." he said calmly. Turning to look over the snow once more.
Ahmose sighed. "On the condition that you do NOT leave this balcony." He said.
"Leave?" he said looking around. "How?"
Ahmose snickered. "With your magic? Anyway you want... MIKADO!!! Come keep an eye on the genie!!!"
"I'M EATING, AHMOSE!!!"
"Its ok, I promise not to leave the balcony." Ryou said calmly.
"Don't you want to come in and have your waffles?" Ahmose asked.
Ryou shook his head. "No thank you...I'll sit out here." he said smiling. "I like the snow."
Ahmose frowned. "Ryou, you need to eat. You're mortal, remember?"
"I'm not hungry though." Ryou pouted. "I promise to eat in a little while..."
Ahmose sighed. "Okay." He said, and went inside for breakfast.
Yami chuckled, sitting next to Ahmose at the table. "He's certainly out of it..." He said after a while. "How far do you think he remembers?"
Ahmose shrugged. "I don't know. Right now, he remembers things, but not in chronological order... they're all jumbled up. A found a memory of his time with Michelangelo up as recently as when he was stolen that first time!!!"
Yami choked slightly, bursting into laughter. "Really now?" He said coughing. "That's really...something." he said shaking his head. "Was Michelangelo good to him?"
Ahmose smiled. "Seems to have been. The memory was of Ryou posing for the man when he was younger... before he was so well known. I don't know what happened to the paintings of Ryou..."
"When he remembers, we should ask." Yami said. "I bet they're pretty good, and Marik would probably love them." Yami took another bite, chewing and swallowing. "Any other interesting memories?"
Ahmose snorted. "Well, personally I could have gone without seeing Napoleon taking a bath..."
Yami laughed. "Anything else?"
Ahmose chuckled. "It's just alot of confusing memories..." He said, poking some waffles into his mouth, and peering out of the kitchen to make sure Ryou was still on the balcony.
Of course, that wasn't what Ahmose saw at all. Not only was Ryou not there, but neither was his balcony!
Ahmose gasped, inhaling a waffle, and choked. Mikado leapt up and ran over.
"Ahmose?!" He yelped, but Ahmose just clutched his throat and turned red. "SHIT!!!" Mikado yelped, getting behind Ahmose and giving him the heimlich.
Yami got up too, patting Ahmose's back once the food was dislodged. "You ok?" he asked worriedly. "Gods don’t scare us like that!"
"ME scare YOU?! When I get my hands on Ryou..." He ran to the kitchen and grabbed Ryou's bottle. He wasn't sure if it would work, but he rubbed it...
The bottle twinkled lightly and mist appeared above it. It pictured Ryou walking down the street, wearing the balcony as a necklace, and heading towards Marik's house.
Ahmose just stared. "Oh shit..." And he turned and ran out the door. Mikado blinked and looked at Yami.
"Hell if I know." Yami said hurrying after Ahmose.
Ryou blinked as he walked, looking at street signs and trying to remember the way. "ummm..." he turned down 6th street. Surely that was the way to his master! Many people gave him odd looks as he walked down the street wearing nothing but his little harem clothes. But Ryou was determined! He'd find Marik and get back to what he was supposed to be doing!
He grinned brightly and clapped his hands. This house! This was the place! He remembered this house! He trotted up to the door and knocked.
A moment later, Ahmose's car pulled up out front, and he and Yami jumped out. Ahmose ran up to Ryou and skidded to a stop. He looked at his balcony around Ryou's neck, and slowly smiled and shook his head.
"I have to be careful with you..." He said, laughing a bit. "Ryou... please put my balcony back..."
Ryou blinked. "But YOU said not to leave it!" he said putting his hands on his hips. He grumbled softly, and the necklace disappeared, likely back to it's rightful place.
Ahmose sighed. "Yes... that meant you were to stay RIGHT THERE... NOT run off and take it with you." He shook his head and smiled. "But, as long as we're here..." He passed a hand over the latch on the front door, and it unlocked. Ahmose, Ryou and Yami went inside.
Ryou looked around. "Master?" he called looking around the spotless house. "Master?!" he began looking for Marik.
Ahmose sighed. "He isn't here, Ryou." He said, walking over to the genie. "Remember how I said some bad things happened? Bad things you don't remember?"
Ryou nodded. "yes...?"
"Well... bad things happened to Marik and he had to leave for a while. But he'll be back soon." Ahmose smiled. "I have an idea... let's get the heater cranked up to get his house warm, and sit down on the sofa and try to get your memories sorted a bit more. Then we can take a break and decorate the house for Christmas to surprise Marik. Does that sound good?"
Ryou nodded eagerly. "Ok!" he said nodding. "Can we get a tree?"
Ahmose smiled and nodded. "Sure. But let's work on your memories a bit first. Yami? Can you see about getting the heat turned on, please?"
Yami nodded. "Ok, I'll go out to the company and have them turn it on. I'll grab a tree while I'm out." he said snatching Ahmose's keys and bolting out the door before he could object.
Ryou giggled and sat on the couch. "Ok."
Ahmose sighed and shook his head, then sat with Ryou. "Okay... you tell me when to stop, but let's get as much done as we can." And he laid his hands on Ryou's head, concentrated, and began working through Ryou's memories again, putting them in order and chasing down the one's that refused to stay in one place.
Ryou whimpered softly as Ahmose worked and he shoved him lightly. "Ouch..." he mumbled about twenty minutes later. "Hurts..."
Ahmose sighed and nodded, stopping. "Okay... That was good... I think I'm almost done... how do you feel now?" He asked, wiping sweat from his brow.
"Bad...." Ryou sniffled, looking near tears. "Poor master..."
Ahmose nodded and wrapped an arm around Ryou. "What do you remember?" He asked softly.
Ryou sniffled. "I don’t wanna talk about it..." he mumbled looking down.
"I know... but it will help me gague how much you remember... Please?" Ahmose asked.
"a-apartment..." Ryou mumbled sniffling.
Ahmose blinked. "What?"
Ryou sniffled. "M-my home."
Ahmose's eyes widened. "You remember Marik breaking into your apartment?"
Ryou sniffled and nodded. "Yes...."
"Yes... He thought you were dead for three months before that... When he saw you..." Ahmose shrugged. "He couldn't keep away... Are... are you mad at him for it?"
Ryou sniffled softly. "I...am not mad at him for breaking in...b-but I am terribly upset at him...f-for what he'd done to himself..."
Ahmose sighed. "So you remember that... do you remember how he looked or...?"
Ryou sniffled. "I...I remember it all..." he sniffled. "H-how he looked then...a-and before you made me remember..."
Ahmose sighed. "So... you remember walking into his house after seeing what he was doing? And... do you remember the paper I showed you before I kidnapped you? Sorry about that, by the way..."
Ryou sniffled. "He's a liar." he said softly. "He said only me... and then he sleeps with Bakura... then he promised it'd never happen again... then he sleeps with total strangers..." Ryou sniffled and buried his face in his hands, beginning to cry.
Ahmose winced and wrapped his arms around Ryou, hugging him. "I know..." He whispered softly.
"He promised not to kill himself... a-and he was doing it anyway!" Ryou sobbed. "He's a LIAR! A horrible horrible liar!" Ryou sobbed harshly.
Ahmose said nothing, just rubbed Ryou's back and let him cry. A few minutes later, he sighed.
"Do you want to decorate the house, now?" He asked, softly.
Ryou sniffled. " I... I will decorate my master's home... a-and then I will go home..." he mumbled sniffling and waving a hand. Decorations of every variety for Christmas slithered across the walls and floors, and over the span of about five minutes, placed themselves. When it was over, the house was extravagant! Decorated so well it could have been featured in Better Homes and Gardens.
"Oh wow..." Ahmose said, looking around. "It's great, Ryou... would you like to finish up sorting your memories now?"
Ryou shook his head. "I...I think you got them all.." he mumbled softly. "I want to go home..." he added looking down.
Ahmose blinked. "Home?"
Ryou nodded. "Yes. MY home." He said standing. "You kidnapped me before I got there..." he sniffled and wiped his eyes. "I was going to decorate..."
Ahmose sighed slightly and nodded. "I thought you just wanted to see Marik..."
Ryou wiped his eyes once more. "That was before I remembered him lying so horribly to me..." he mumbled softly. "You should talk to him about the meaning of 'marry'. He doesn't seem to understand it." he mumbled shaking his head and heading for the door.
Ahmose blinked. "What?" He asked, following.
Ryou opened the door and stepped out into the snow. "He keeps sleeping with other people." he mumbled. "That's not sacred or special..."
"... Oh." Ahmose said softly. "I see..." He sighed and pulled Ryou's bottle out of his jacket pocket and handed it to him. "Here."
Ryou took it and nodded softly. "Thank you..." He said offering Ahmose a teary smile. "When Marik decides to shape up, get healthy and stop sleeping around... maybe I'll look at him with love again..." he said softly, stepping out into the snow and beginning his walk home.
"But Ryou!!!" Ahmose called, running after him. He grabbed Ryou's arm. "He... he has. He has stayed clean ever since the day I kidnapped you! Two weeks ago!!! Because he knows you're coming back... He's waiting for you..."
Ryou gave Ahmose a hurt look. "I waited every day out in the field of reeds patiently for him, like I promised. I kept my word to the point that the gods themselves took pity on me and sent me back a third time. He couldn't keep EITHER of his promises to me... what was it I was coming back to?" Ryou sniffled.
Ahmose sighed. "I... I'm not sure... that's something you're going to have to ask him. I don't know WHY he did it. I can only guess. But... he said he wanted to... forget."
Ryou pulled away and shook his head. "When he's man enough to come to me and tell me why he did so many STUPID things... see the hurt that I feel about him doing that despite promises... then I will talk to him..." he said softly. "I kept my promises... so he can be the one to come to me." he walked away. "Merry Christmas.."
Ahmose sighed and watched Ryou go, then slowly turned and went back into the house to wait for Yami...

To all readers: Authors write for themselves and their own enjoyment. But they POST their work for the readers who show them some appreciation and encouragement. It is actually very discouraging for authors to see that 235 people have read their fic, but no one thought it worth the time and effort to review, such as the case with ‘Vengeance of Sethos’ and the last chapter of ‘Ahmose Inarus’. I guess I’m just wondering why the reviews just… stopped coming all of a sudden over the past month. The fact is, the more you review, the more updates you get!!!
And now, to those who find my fics review worthy….
A: Yeah, Ryou is a stubborn little booger, isn’t he? And yeah, Marik still loves the little oblivious genie. An Marik will do anything to get Ryou back, but when Ryou figuratively gives him a slap in the face, well… Ryou is very scared of Marik and doesn’t remember him. And um… no… Marik isn’t gonna lose his memories.
Jeda: Yes, Marik has hit rock bottom. The only thing left is death right now. And yes, me and Mally are good at torturing characters. Um… no, I am not turning any of them loose in the South Bronx, dear… O.o heh… and don’t scare your class and teacher! Um… no lion and wolf cub… not yet… sorry
Shadow Mistress: Heh… you know it takes more than that for things to be all good again. We ain’t done yet!!! And yeah, we all love our squirming Ahmose… ^_____^
PLEASE REVIEW!!! I'm begging you!!! ;____;

PLEASE REVIEW!!! I'm begging you!!! ;____;
