The Pharoah and Prince's Lover chapter 11

ok, question time!!!

@Mizuchan24: I think Akhom was about 8 or 9 years old, and the twins were 5 or 6 years old. lol, still deciding when they will meet, but I can tell you that it will be soon. You'll just have to wait and see what the game is for Friday.

@maea: no, it's not Malik's first time, but it's still shocking for him. Uh, how do you see a private message on this site?

The Pharoah and Prince's Lover chapter 11:

At the school, all of the Hikari's looked tired and looked like they had all been up the whole night. Usually, it was only Joey who was falling asleep on his desk in class, but this time, all of them were falling asleep. Yugi and Ryou, who were known as good students, were scolded by their teachers after class and were told to get some rest at home. Malik and Joey were scolded anyway because they started a fight in class and had interrupted their teacher while he was going over class material. Lunch couldn't come any sooner for the Hikari's and they all collapsed at their usual place at the tree. As they quietly munched on their food, Yugi's mind was thinking about the phone call he had gotten last night and bit his lip slightly, wondering if he should tell the others. But when he looked up at all his friends, he decided not to. He needed to protect them and make sure they wouldn't get hurt.

After a while, Joey sighed and seeing that everyone looked tired, almost falling asleep in their lunches, he decided to take action. "Guys, I don't think we'll be able to stay awake for the rest of our classes, so can I suggest something?" he asked and when the others looked at him, he continued. "Why don't we ditch the rest of school and head to someone's house? Before you guys protest, let me bring up three good reasons. One: We'll just be sleeping in class for the rest of school; two: we won't be learning anything new and will be able to catch up; and three: do you really want to be scolded again by the teachers for sleeping?" he asked and saw the others think over it before sighing and nodding in agreement with Joey. They got up and threw away the rest of their lunch before picking up their backpacks.

Malik looked around to make sure no one was watching before he nodded to the others that the coast was clear. They were able to sneak out of the school grounds and head towards Yugi's house, since that was the closest place and the others houses were too far. When they reached the shop, Yugi unlocked the door and let everyone inside before closing and locking the door behind him. Soon, everyone was upstairs in the apartment and resting in the living room. Ryou had fallen asleep in one of the chairs while Joey had fallen asleep on the couch. Malik seemed to have gone upstairs to his room and Yugi sighed, bringing out blankets and pillows to the two in the living room. He put a pillow under Ryou's head and a blanket over him to keep him warm before doing the same for Joey. He yawned as he went upstairs and crashed on his bed, having pulled off his jacket and not at the moment caring about the rest of his clothing.

Unknown to them, a car pulled up to the front of the game shop and an old man got out of the passenger side as the car turned off and a young women got out of the driver's side. Solomon walked up to the door of the game shop, figuring that Yugi and Malik were still at school, and unlocked the door. He sighed in content as he stepped inside, Ishizu following after him and closing the door behind her. As they made their way up to the apartment, they noticed several pairs of shoes at the entrance and both adults sighed. As they both looked into the living room, expecting to see the teenagers watching a movie or something, they were surprised to see Joey and Ryou asleep. Solomon smiled at the sight before going up the stairs with Ishizu. As Ishizu checked on Malik, Solomon went to Yugi's room and smiled at the sight. Yugi was fast asleep, curled up on top of the blankets and still in his uniform. He shook his head before closing the door behind him and going over to Yugi's dresser, pulling out some fresh pajamas and walking over to Yugi. He changed the boy into the pajamas before putting Yugi back in bed, tucking him in and giving him a kiss on the forehead.

Solomon put the uniform in the hamper before quietly leaving the room and heading downstairs. He saw Ishizu sipping some tea and sat down at the table with her, drinking the tea Ishizu had made for him. He sighed quietly before looking at Ishizu. "How's Malik?" he asked softly, knowing the other two in the living room were still sleeping. Ishizu smiled and shook her head. "He seems fine, though I had to change his clothes and put him in bed, I haven't done that since he was 4 years old." she said just as softy and he chuckled quietly. "Same here, though I didn't mind doing it for Yugi, the poor boy seemed like he hadn't been sleeping too well." he said, looking at the two in the living room before looking back at Ishizu. "They all look like it too." he said. Ishizu nodded in agreement before sighing and looking at Solomon in the eyes. "Solomon..... Their futures changed again." she said and he nodded as he sipped his tea. "I just don't understand it. In one moment, I see that it would be ok to tell them about their pasts, but in another....... it looks like it would only bring more misery." she sighed and he put a hand over hers, his eyes soft and comforting.

"I know, Ishizu, but you know, one of these days they are going to have questions, and they are going to remember something. I know you have been protecting them, but..... don't you think it's time? Both sides are suffering in more ways than one. I cannot tell you how many times I've woken up to Yugi's screams and had to call you to suppress the memories. I don't want them hurting any longer, it was painful enough to watch Yugi, no, Heba, take up a knife and almost kill himself because he was away from his Yamis and didn't feel the child that had grown inside him." Solomon whispered, his hands tightening over the mug he held. Flashes of memories went through his mind, of all the times Yugi had woken up screaming, or had remembered a little of who he was and it breaking his heart to have to call Ishizu to repress the memory again. He looked up when Ishizu squeezed his hand, looking almost as tired as the teens in the other room. "I know.... and I regret every day that I had to do that, but.... I don't want to lose him again. It hurt the first time Nemu died, I don't want to lose him again. I'll try to find a way for them to meet and for the Hikari's to be with their Yami's again, but...." she trailed off before looking down. "I had a vision..... In it, all of them were dead again, I could tell because of their uniforms, and the Yami's were their, standing over the Hikari's and blood staining their hands, but.... their eyes were different. They didn't look the same, and it felt like the people who had killed them the first time. I need to keep them safe, and if the vision means to keep them away from the Yami's for a little longer, I will." she said and Solomon sighed before nodding. "I just hope you are doing the right thing." he said as he got up and put his mug in the sink before starting to clean the dishes.

An hour or so later, Yugi woke up and yawned, stretching slightly. He felt slightly at peace and well rested as he got up, rubbing his eyes. He blinked, noticing he was in his pajamas and didn't remember putting them on until he smelled something cooking. He sniffed again before his eyes widened and he grinned as he rushed downstairs. He noticed Malik come out of his room as he passed him and almost tripped as he rushed down the stairs. When he got to the kitchen, he saw his grandfather by the stove cooking dinner and he smiled. "Jii-san!!" he said before he hugged his grandfather. Solomon chuckled as he hugged Yugi back. "Hello, Yugi, it's good to see you too." he said, pulling away from the hug to finish cooking. Yugi offered to help but his grandfather shooed him out of the kitchen. Yugi went into the living room and saw Ishizu sitting next to Malik on the couch, who had his head on her lap as she stroked his hair absentmindedly while talking to Joey and Ryou.

When dinner was ready, Yugi helped set the table before everyone sat at the table. As everyone ate, the teenagers listened to Solomon and Ishizu talk about the expedition and what they found. Yugi listened attentively, wanting to be an archeologist since he was little and glad to learn from his grandfather's and Ishizu's experiences. Although Ishizu only went because of her job with the museum, it was still great to hear it from both of their points of view. After dinner, Yugi helped his grandfather with the dishes, while Joey and Ryou went home. After another hour, Ishizu and Malik went home, since his sister was back he could go home. Yugi and Solomon stayed up talking to each other about what had happened over the month Solomon was gone before Yugi went to bed. He said goodnight to his grandfather before going to his room, laying in bed and closing his eyes to sleep, happy that his grandfather was home safe and sound.

In another part of town:

An old abandoned warehouse stood in the outskirts of town. It used to have been a place where people could come and go ask they pleased, to use it as a storage facility, but now, the place was rusted and creaked every time the wind hit it. A car pulled up to the entrance and as the car died down, a person got out and slammed the door shut, the sound louder in the quiet of the night. As the man walked to the door, pulled out a cigarette, putting it between his lips before pulling out his lighter and after a few tries, was able to light it. He put away his lighter and took a deep breath before exhaling, the darkness concealing the smoke cloud, though it lighted slightly when it was hit by the moon's light through a single window. As the man took another pull of the cigarette, he pulled it from his mouth as he blew out. "I take it everything is set for tomorrow?" he asked.

Someone from the shadows stepped forward, illuminated slightly by the moon's light and nodded. "Yes, everything has been set up just as you have instructed. But there is one problem.." the male trailed off as the man pulled out his cigarette from his mouth as he blew out the smoke.

" A problem?"

"Yes. It seems the priestess is back in town and is guarding the Hikari's once again. Usually, it wouldn't matter, but she remembers who she was and has the same power. It might cause some problems for the men who are going to pick up the Hikari's after school tomorrow."

"Do you know if the Yami's have been informed of anything from her recently?"

"Our informants tell us that a few days ago they talked, but she said nothing of what we planned. The Yami's are still unaware of where the Hikari's are and of our plans."

"Good, then we will go as planned for tomorrow. See to it that the Yami's get our 'invitation' tomorrow morning." he said before putting out his cigarette leaving. As the person walked out, the moon shined brightly and you could see a man with long silver hair that covered one of his eyes in a suit walk to his car and leave the warehouse.
