Chapter 11
The dark clouds materialized into the body of Yami. The vampire bowed his head politely, greeting Mr. Mouto with a “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” The others were surprised at his formality, but Grandpa just chuckled.
“I know that Yugi is your soulmate. I gave him the puzzle knowing full well what it would mean if he completed it. All I want is him to be happy... And I know he had no one there for him when business took me away. I had prayed for this result, in fact,” the wise old man admitted. Four pairs of jaws dropped to the floor while a pair of crimson eyes blinked in astonishment. Grandpa chuckled again. “The pleasure is all mine, Pharaoh Atemu.”

There was stunned silence at that last remark. Yami was the first to unstick his voice. “How...?”
“I’m an archaeologist, and a damn good one at that. I know quite a bit of so-called ‘lost’ history. Plus, when I found your puzzle, the spirit of a High Priest named Seth told me quite a bit about you and the significance of that Sennen item. What? You all thought I was just the owner of a game shop?” Mr. Mouto laughed at the stunned faces gazing upon him. He shook his head in amusement and walked past them. “Come to the kitchen after the shock wears off. I’m going to prepare dinner.”
