Kaiba silently walked back into the court room a please grin on his face. He saw his puppy’s eyes darting around the court room looking for him until they landed on him and gave him a shaky smile which he returned with a wink and sat next to Yami.
“You seem pleased with yourself.” Yami said watched the Judge walk into the room.
‘Pleased’ couldn’t begin the describe how Kaiba felt as his smile only deepened he had made a personal phone call to the prison a spoken directly to the warden. He simply had placed the call to let the warden know who Mr. Jounouchi was and what he had done. And that the proper arrangements were going to be made.
He sighed contently and shifted more comfortably in his seat and prepared to watch the drama unfold.
Jou shifted nervously in his seat he could feel the rage and anger pulse around the Judge if he concentrated hard enough he swore he could see steam start to come out his ears.
“In light of the new evidences I find Mr. Jounouchi guilty of child prostitution, rape and domestic abuse. And I sentence you to 50 years in prison with out parole and that a 100 foot restraining order be issued in favor of Jounouchi Katsuya and that Jounouchi Katsuya receive a legal emancipation. Court dismissed.” She said and slammed her hammer.
Jou heard dozen of shouts and angry hisses but none of it matter now. Nothing mattered he was free. Free of his father, free from the lying, free from keeping his life hidden, free from his past. Suddenly he felt very tried and very light and… at peace. Slowly the world began to turn hazy and he smiled as he looked at Bakura.
“Its over isn’t it? It’s finally over?”
“Yes Jou.” Bakura said as he smiled at the glowing Jou. “It’s over, you’re free.”
Jou smiled and stood. “Free… it feels good.” he said before he felt his legs give out on him. He felt himself be caught in strong arms and be held agaist a strong chest and he could smell his dragon cologne. Now a new feeling was brought into the mix he was safe. he let all his emotional and physical fatigue take him to the land of dreams.
