Chapter 11
Chrysanthemum
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Ryou opened his eyes at a soft knocking on the door. He sat up and blinked as his new “mother” opened his bedroom door.
“Hey, Ryou. Sleep well?” She asked. Ryou nodded, pulling the sheets up to his chin, feeling shy about his body, even though is was only his chest and stomach. “Dinner is ready. Why don’t you come eat with us?”
“Alright.” Ryou said, offering her a tentative smile. She seemed to brighten up at that.
“Okay, see you in a moment!” She said, and closed the door. Ryou sighed and climbed to the floor, and dressed. He took a deep breaht, and headed down the stairs. Who knew how long he would be here… he should probably establish at least a friendly relationship with the people that he would be living with.
“Hello, Ryou.” Akiko said as ryou entered the kitchen. He saw that his “sister” and “brother” were already sitting at the table. Ryou slipped into a chair, silently, and stared down at the table. The dinner was set down on the table, and Tamaki sat down. They said the blessing, and the lasagna was passed around.
“Ryou, surely you’re more hungry than that.” Tamaki said.
“No, not really….” Ryou said softly, poking at the small mass of food on his plate.
“Well…. Now that you’ve settled in a bit more, tell us about yourself. You’re sixteen, correct?” Akiko asked.
“Yessir.” Ryou said softly, well aware of the critical stares of his “siblings”.
“Tell us about yourself.”
“There’s nothing to tell.” Ryou said in a monotone voice.
“there must be something.” Tamaki encouraged.
“Okay… my middle name is Kiseki, my mother died when I was little, my father is in Egypt, and I want to go home!” The family stared at him.
“Ryou…” Akiko said, taking his foster son’s hand. “THIS is your home now.” Ryou shook his head, and tired to choke back a sob. “Ryou, please.”
“I, I’m sorry….” Ryou said.
“It’s alright.” Tamaki said. “It will take time for you to adjust.”
“But… I don’t WANT to adjust…..” Ryou whimpered.
“Let’s talk about something else.” Tamaki said. “Ryou… tell us about your friends.”
“What about them?”
“Well… what do you all do together for fun?”
“Well… we go to the arcade… we game….”
“Game?”
“We, we’re gamers. All of us.” Ryou said, and noticed the family giving him a strange look.
“I see.” Tamaki said in a stiff tone. Ryou blinked.
“Is, is something wrong?”
“Gaming is evil.” Said Miaka, suddenly. Ryou blinked.
“Excuse me?”
“What kind of games?” Tamaki asked.
“Well… we play Duel Monsters, and RPG’s…..”
“RPG?”
“Role Playing Game.” Ryou said.
“I see. Well, we will all have to make adjustments now that you are a member of the family.” Tamaki said. “And you will have to make adjustments as well.”
“Meaning?”
“There will be no gaming in this house.” Tamaki said, sternly. Ryou blinked.
“what?”
“Such things are inappropriate.”
“What?!” Ryou gasped, looking baffled.
“Now… tomorrow is Sunday. We will be going to Church, leaving promptly at seven.”
“Say what?!”
“Don’t you ever go to church, Ryou?” Tamaki asked, and Ryou shook his head.
“No. I’ve never been…… I see. You’re religious. You believe that gaming is… evil.”
“…. Yes. It IS evil.” Tamaki said, and Ryou sighed and closed his eyes before he rolled them in front of his new family.
“May I be excused?”
“You haven’t touched your dinner.”
“I’m not hungry.”
“Did you have a large lunch?” Akiko asked, and Ryou blinked. Had he eaten at all that day? To his surprise, he realized that no, he hadn’t eaten a thing.
“No, I’m just not feeling well. I’ve been a bit sick.”
“I see. Well, you go to bed, and we’ll see how you feel in the morning.” Akiko said, and Ryou nodded, standing and leaving the table.
………….
Nakazawa opened the door to Otogi’s office. He stared at the back of the boy’s chair.
“Good evening Ryuuji.”
“Get the fuck out of here.” Otogi snapped.
“Excuse me?!”
“I said get out. I’m not paying.”
“What?” Nakazawa snarled, dangerously.
“I said I’m not paying. Not anymore. I’ve had it.” Otogi snapped, standing and glaring. “I’m not giving you another cent.” Nakazawa glared, and stalked towards Otogi.
“Then you have two choices. Submit, or I take you downtown.”
“Fuck off.” Otogi snapped, then yelped as he was struck to the floor.
“If you resist, I’ll go find your little… EX lover…… And simply take what I want from him since he seems to be more…. Cooperative than you.” Otogi glared up at the man, but slowly lowered his eyes.
“Fine.” He said in a toneless voice. “Like I care.” Nakazawa grinned.
“Strip.” He ordered, and Otogi slowly stood. His eyes slowly moved across the room to where the Gardenia bush sat, silently. He thought of Ryou and what he had done to his lover. He closed his eyes and began to remove his clothes. He deserved a far worse punishment than this for hurting his sweet little lover, who had only been trying to help. He yelped as he was seized and forced to bend over his desk.
“Finally…..” Otogi heard Nakazawa growl, and he let his head drop in defeat as Nakazawa put on a condom and moved into position behind him….. He let out a hoarse cry as the man entered him.
……………
Bakura and Marik sighed as they rode the elevator up to Otogi’s office. They had called his house, and the servant who answered it said that he was still at his office. They had been surprised to see a car outside of the building.
“What if we can’t find him?” Marik asked.
“We’ll find him.” Bakura said slowly. “I am his yami. I will find him.”
“Bakura… I’m worried about him. Otogi just dumped him, he’s been taken away from his yami, and he’s sick… and now in a house with a bunch of strangers… you think he’ll be alright?”
“He’ll be scared, and upset. But he’ll be okay. Ryou is a survivor.” Bakura said as the elevator stopped and opened. Both yamis stepped out and froze as they heard pained cries coming from Otogi’s office.
“Bakura?” Marik whsipered.
“I smell blood.” Bakura said, and pulled his knife. Marik and Bakura charged down the hall and burst into the office.
Nakazawa whirled, pulling away from Otogi, who slumped to the floor, shaking. Bakura took in the blood on the Dice Master’s thighs, and coating the stranger’s condom-covered genitals. His eyes flashed, and he began to growl, deep in his throat.
“Ryou?” the man gasped, and this triggered something in Bakura’s mind.
“You….” He hissed. “You’re the one. You’re behind it all….” He faced Nakazawa, who put himself away, as Marik ran to Otogi. Nakazawa pulled his gun, and the yami growled and began to circle around the room, trying to also get to Otogi. Nakwzawa circled as well, and made it to the door. He bolted. Bakura started to go after him, but stopped at Otogi’s call.
“Bakura! Wait…..” Bakura turned and looked down at Otogi, who winced at the pain between his legs. “I think I… owe you an explanation.”
“Yes. You do.” Bakura said.
“After he gets cleaned up, Itemri.” Marik said, helping Otogi to his feet.
An hour later, they were sitting around Otogi’s living room. Otogi was curled up in a large arm chair in his bathrobe, with a mug of hot cocoa that Bakura had made for him.
“Alright, Dice Boy. Talk.” Bakura said, and Otogi sighed and nodded, brushing back his hair, which was down, and wet. (AN: O_O purrrrr……..)
“Well…. That man was Tetsuya Nakazawa, the Chief of Police.” He began. “He’s been blackmailing me for a month or two, now. Ryou got suspicious of my being at the office every night, and he got resourceful and swiped security videos and accused me of having an affair. I of course denied it; it wasn’t true. But he ended up coming with me that night to meet Nakazawa, he refused to back down.” Bakura snorted. “and Nakazawa…. Found another thing to hold over my head. Not only did he raise the price that I had to pay him, but he had a new requirement. Ryou had to accompany me every night. We got into a fight and that was when Ryou got his head injury.” Bakura nodded, silently. “Well, things were okay, for a few days. Then I had to go out of town. While I was gone, he came up with another scheme. He doubled the price. A thousand for each of us for our… bodies…. And a thousand for each of us not to be taken away; me to jail, Ryou to a foster home. I can’t afford that. And Ryou knew it so… Nakazawa conned him into…. Well….. From what I figured out later, into Ryou giving him a blow job.” Bakura cursed and stood, pacing in anger.
“Keep going.” Marik said calmly.
“Well, I got back into town, and Ryou never told me this. But Nakazawa did. And… I got angry, and Ryou and I got in a fight and……”
“You dumped him.” Marik finished.
“I…. I guess……” Otogi said, and slowly looked at the two yamis who were glaring at him. “I didn’t mean to! I hate myself for what I said to him! I didn’t mean to hurt him like that, I….” He looked at the floor. “I want him back…. I love him.” Marik nodded. “The next night… Nakazawa came back. He asked where Ryou was, and I said that we weren’t together anymore. He said he didn’t care, I still had to pay to keep Ryou safe. I was so worried that he would rape Ryou that I didn’t even think about the Social Services… and I forgot to pay him the grand for that….. And that’s why he called. And I felt so bad about it that I…..”
“That you let him rape you.” Marik finished, and Otogi sniffled and nodded.
“This is all my fault.” He whimpered.
“Bakura.” Marik said, and Bakura looked at his lover. “What do we do now?”
