Yugi smiled to himself, he was wearing tight white leather trousers a small white strappy top with a white leather jacket matching his trousers to go over the top, Yami had given him a white fur scarf for the finishing touch, Yugi had said that the main colour for his outfit was white but hadn't told him what he was wearing, Yugi turned round in the mirror to look down his back and smiled "I hope Yami likes this," he muttered quietly, he put on his shoes then went down the stairs, this was the night of the dance and he wanted to be his best for Yami, he found Solomon at the kitchen table reading the newspaper, Solomon looked up and smiled "Yami's gone ahead said he needed to do something but he'd meet you at the dance," Yugi nodded "Alright, see you later grandpa," he kissed his grandfather's cheek and went out the door, he felt down that he wouldn't be turning up with Yami but Yami had apparently said to meet him there.


The music blared as Yugi stepped through the doors, he looked round for Yami but couldn't see him however he did see Joey with Seto and made his way over to them he saw they were stood with Tristan and Tea who had appeared to have come together, it turned out Serenity was on holiday somewhere and couldn't come and Tea didn't have Yami to ask, "Hey guys," Yugi said politely, Joey smiled seeing him "Hey Yuge, nice outfit that the one you were surprising Yami with?" Yugi nodded "Have you seen Yami yet?" they all shook their heads Yugi nodded then sat down deciding to wait and talked to the others secretly hoping Yami was going to turn up.


Yami snarled, he'd been unfortunate and come across the amber eyed figure the two collided again scratching and biting, "I won't be defeated by you Pharaoh," the figure growled delivering a powerful blow to Yami slashing the shirt Yami was wearing, Yami regained balance and swung his claws "You'll have to do better to beat me Cassan," the figure grinned nastily "I see you actually remember my name Atemu," Yami snarled again, Atemu was indeed his real name 'Shadow Yami' had been a nickname it's overall meaning 'Darkness' he'd mastered the power of Shadow magic and was capable of using it's full power, Cassan struck Yami round the eyes a long cut slicing over one thankfully Yami had managed to move to not take too much damage and saved his eyes but he'd been knocked flying back, he was in serious pain his clothes were rags now, Cassan grinned and was about to go for another strike but Yami got back on his feet a glowing sphere in his hand, Cassan hissed and turned and ran off "I'll deal with you later Atemu!" he called, Yami growled then leaned against the wall then looked at the time and ran down the road towards the school, his magic repairing his clothes healing most of the wounds.


Yugi sighed, a few hours had passed and Yami wasn't there still, he watched Seto and Joey dancing together smiling at each other, Tea was dancing with Tristan but both were busy occupied with their thoughts to be paying much attention to each other, Yugi looked down folding his arms on his knees closing his eyes, his head shot back up when he heard Tea calling "Yami, Yami over here," Tea had pulled away from Tristan and was trying to attract Yami's attention, Yugi looked to the entrance and saw Yami he gasped, Yami was stood in flared black trousers with his boots, he had a black tank top on and over the top was a white silk jacket, Yugi smiled in delight and waved when he saw Yami look in his direction and come hurrying over, "Yugi I'm so sorry for being late," he panted, he was still worn out from running, Yugi blinked and hugged him "It's fine my love you're here now," Yami nodded looking at him and Yugi caught sight of the cut on Yami's left eye, "Yami what happened?" he asked worriedly, Yami looked down at explained but smiled as he looked up again after he'd finished his explanation "I've something to ask you Aibou," Yugi nodded "What's that love?" Yami smiled softly, his eyes held a loving tone in them "Will you marry me?" he asked presenting from his pocket a gold ring with two gemstones in, one stone was amethyst the other stone ruby, Yugi's eyes widened as he stared at the ring then looked up at Yami "Yes I will marry you my love," he cried though not too loudly, he flung his arms round Yami's neck kissing him, Yami purred in the kiss slipping the ring onto Yugi's wedding finger smiling fondly, Yugi grinned then pulled Yami onto the dance floor.


Yugi sighed happily as he walked home side by side with Yami holding his hand leaning his head against Yami's shoulder, the air was warm and the sky above was clear, the two decided to take a long walk home, they stopped as they reached the park the could see the stars now and the moon which lit up the lake, Yugi smiled holding both of Yami's hands in his facing him, the moonlight reflecting off the lake made Yami's eyes shine, Yami's smiled looking down at Yugi fondly then wrapped his arms round his waist while Yugi raised his arms wrapping them round Yami's neck, both shared a long and loving kiss, Yami purred feeling Yugi's fingers running through the back of his hair twirling it round his fingers, then Yami's ears twitched as he heard movement and broke the kiss staring into a familiar set of amber eyes and a nasty grin.
