War of the Angels

Yuugi limped along the broken down streets searching for anyone. It seemed like everyone in Domino vanished. Three firemen and a cop saw him. One fireman walked over to Yuugi and lifted him off the ground and into a truck with others who survived.

"It's ok kid, your safe now." Said the fireman.

"But my friend, he disapeared." Yuugi said.

"Sorry kid, lot's of people are gone, calm down we're taking you and these nice people to shelter.

Some shelter, it was Domino mall, one of the only building's standing in the area. Yuugi was on a truck full of all kinds of people. Yuugi and the other people were lifted off the truck one by one. They were escorted into the mall lobby. Yuugi looked around for anyone he new.

"Yuugi, your here." Jou ran out of nowhere, slid on his knee's, and hugged the tiny teen. "Oh man, I'm glad to see you." He let him go and stood up.

"Jou, what's going on?"

"No one knows, but there has been some weird things happening in the last four weeks." Jou looked at Yuugi with a raised brow. "This weird stuff happens because of you most of the time, do you have something to do with it?"

"I might, Yami was acting a little strange."

"Strange?"

"The last time I saw him was this morning, he was acting like he didn't care about much, and his skin........It was melting."

"Melting?" Jou shuttered. "He might be becoming one of those things."

"What things?"

"Didn't you know, my nieborhood was taken over by these wierd looking people with melting skin and black wings. Haven't you seen them?"

"No, but...." Yuugi felt a chill of fear but he tried to keep a level head. "Have you sceen anyone else?"

"No, just you, any one who's not here, is either dead or trapped under the buildings."

"I hope their not dead." Yuugi worried. "Jou, you did say black wings right?"

"Yup."

"Did any of them have a white wing?"

"None...Why?"

"Never mind." Yuugi looked up at Jou. "Before Yami left, he told me to find the ones who were calling me....I had a dream about people with white wings, and Yami was taken away from me, by people with black wings...Something strange about it is, he had one of each wing." Yuugi tried to explain. Jou felt his forehead.

"Are you feelin' alright?"

"I'm not sick, can you come with me?"

"Sure, we just standin' around here doing nothing." Jou siad.

"Jou, I need help." Yuugi grabbed his arm.

"Oh right, I almost forgot about that mishap about you legs gettin' all messed up...Hey wait I thought you needed to wait."

"Yami taught me to walk again, but I'm still a bit slow, could you carry me?"

"Sure bud, your real light anyway." Jou knelt and let Yuugi climb on his back. "This is like the time I played piggy back with Shizuki." Jou paused. "We gotta go now, Shizuki might need my help." Jou headed toward the door. A cop stopped them.

"Hold it you kids, no one is allowed to leave, we are in the middle of a crisis." The cop warned, all of a sudden one of the walls were knocked down. "THOSE THINGS ARE HERE!" Yuugi saw what Jou was taking about, the black winged people with melting skin were seeping inside the mall killing who ever they touched. The cops in the mall began shooting at them but they just kept coming. Jou ran with Yuugi still on his back, as far from the mall and those creatures as possible. Jou and Yuugi hid at the Domino Church. There wasn't anyone around...Or so they though.

"That was close, Yuugi, you ok?"

"What are they?" Yuugi asked.

"I dunno, but they're bad news, they aren't around this part of the city that's for sure." Jou spoke while Yuugi was looking at his own hand.

"Jou."

"What?"

"Yami had melting skin like them, they touched people and the people died."

"I know, why do think those things are freaking me out?"

"I touched Yami but I'm fine."

"Don't get touched by any of them Yuge, you saw what happened.

"I hope Yami's ok."

"You, it's you." Said a voice from the front of the church.

"It's him."

"Halaluja, we've been waiting for you." Said another. People in white robes were standing in the front of the church.

"The people from my dream..." Yuugi limped up the aisle of the church to meet with them. Jou walked by his side and held his arm to aid him.

"Yuugi, we've been waiting."

"I dreamed about you guys."

"Yes, we were speaking to you."

"Just as 'THEY' spoke to your friend."

"What are 'they', and who are you guys?"

"We are a small group of people waiting for the chosen one to fulfil a task that must be fulfiled at all costs."

"I don't get it."

"Your the only one who can stop them, and they have the only one who can stop you."

"This isn't making any sense to me, what am I supposed to do?"

"You have the light inside you, it's been disturbed and awakened by the growing power of the darkness consuming your freind."

"Is there a way I can help him?" Yuugi asked.

"He's to far gone by now, you only hope to quel the darkness within' or destroy him."

"The darkness within', the darkness inside him?" Yuugi asked.

"Yes."

"Allow me to explain." a man with large, aged white wings walked out from behind the others. "The Millenium Demon is at work here, it is inside him, it's using him. You and light inside, The Milleniun Angel inside you, gives you your strength."

"How did the demon get inside Yami?"

"The darkness has been consuming Yami since the day he died those many years ago, the man who assaulted you had the demon inside him, but since Yami killed him the demon needed a new vessel, the darkness inside Yami is great enough with out him."

"So there's a demon in Yami, and an Angel in Yuge?" JOu asked.

"Exactly...We too are angels and those others are demons."

"It's a sad destiny, for every millenium, the two are destined to destroy eachother, until another Yami and Hikari are found in the same place."

"I don't want to kill him." Yuugi said. "How do I quel the darkness, I can't kill my friend, I love him...I'd kill myself first." Yuugi protested.

"We told you all we know, now it's up to you." The people disapeared.

"Jou, take me to town sqare, I have to find Yami."
