Danegold: The Viking Brother’s Sequel

Chapter 10: Yami Returns

Yami’s tent:

Yugi sat in the animal hide chair of Yami’s desk with a blanket wrapped his shoulders, courtesy of Ryou. He watched from the desk as Marik carried in two large roles of animal furs, one under each arm. Yami had ordered Keith to take the other furs away and have them burned, then replace them with new ones. Marik laid them out in the same spot and let Malik straiten them out. Jou was out back warming up some soup for Yugi while Keith went to fetch water. Ryou was in the corner of the tent with his stitching needle, fixing up the clothes that Sveyn had tore. Duke was out searching for clues not only for Bakura’s case, but for Yugi’s too.

Everyone was fussing over him and he really didn’t like it. Sure, he was happy that he had such caring and loving friends by his side, but he didn’t like the attention. He just wanted to be with Yami and his son right now, but he didn’t know where they were. Yami had stormed off after shouting a million and one orders and Annar was with Keith. He pulled the blanket more tightly around him as he watched the others move about in the tent.

“Yugi?” Yugi looked up at Marik who was now standing in front of him. “Your bed is ready. Would you like to lay down?”

“Yes…I would like that.” His whole body was sore and he dreaded the fact that he had to get up and walk. He was afraid that if he did, his legs would crumble from under him. Then he had an idea. He didn’t want to have to ask it of Marik, but he didn’t want to be in pain either. “Would you please carry me? I’m afraid I’m too sore to walk.”

“Oh, no problem.” Marik nodded and placed one of his arms behind Yugi and the other under his knees. He lifted Yugi with ease and carried him over to the furs, motioning to Malik to turn them down. Marik laid him down gently and Malik pulled the furs up to cover him. “Is there anything else you need?” Yugi shook his head.

“No, I’m alright.” Malik walked up to Marik and placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Why don’t you go with Bakura and leave Yugi with us? He needs you by his side right now more than Yugi does.”

“You’re right, little mink. If you need anything I’ll be in Bakura’s tent.”

“Right. I’ll see you later, lover.” Malik watched his husband leave before kneeling down next to Yugi. “There, now we’re alone and can talk.”

“Talk?” Yugi repeated in question. Malik nodded.

“About what happened. If you really aren’t comfortable with talking about it yet, that’s completely understandable. Just remember that all of us can sympathize with you. We’ve been there.” Yugi nodded slowly.

“I know, and now I understand what you all must have went through. No body should have to go through that. You went through that everyday back in our village didn’t you, Malik?” Malik just nodded.

“Yes, but I dealt with it as best I could. We’ve all pulled through, and so will you.” Malik stroked Yugi’s bangs away from his eyes and managed to raise a smile to Yugi’s lips.

“I know I will with all of you by my side for support. Please, don’t worry over me too much.” Malik opened his mouth to say something but he was interrupted.

“Soup’s here!” Said Jou happily as he walked into the tent with a steaming bowl of soup. “I tried to make it as fresh as I could, so just bare with me.”

“Thank you Jou.” Yugi said and winced as he sat up in the bed and took the warm bowl from Jou. He stirred its contents around with the spoon, watching the swirls his motions made. He wasn’t hungry at all, but didn’t want his friends to worry about him anymore than they already were. Whether he wanted to or not, he had to eat the soup. “It smells wonderful.”

“Thanks. Are you feeling any better, Yugi?” Yugi didn’t say anything and Malik poked Jou in the leg, narrowing his eyes at him.
“Is there anything else we can do for you, Yugi?” Malik asked, putting a hand on his shoulder. Yugi shook his head, still stirring the soup around the bowl.

“Could one of you go and find Yami? I really want to be with him right now…I appreciate all of you wanting to help me, but I feel m ore safe and protected if I had Yami by my side. Do you understand?” Yugi flashed them sad, pleading eyes, hoping they would leave. Malik smile and nodded, standing up as he did.

“We’ll go and find Yami for you, but only after Keith comes back from fetching water. We have strict orders from Yami that you are not to be left alone without Keith or Tristan.” Yugi lowered his eyes and nodded, scooping some of the soup up in the spoon. He blew the steam away before he sipped it quietly. The warmth pooled in his stomach and he felt like it was going to come back up, but he held it back.

“Knock, knock.” Came a voice from the other side of the tent flap. Ryou knew the voice and he looked at Malik, who flashed him a grin.

“I do believe that is Lord Hrothgar!” Jou looked over his shoulder at the tent flap and smiled.

“Ohh…I see.” Malik got up and walked to the flap, peeking out and seeing Hrothgar’s friendly face and his dog.

“Good morning, Malik. I heard about what happened to Yugi and I was just coming to see if there is anything he needs since Yami took off somewhere.” Malik raised an eyebrow.

“Took off? Where did he go?” Hrothgar shrugged his shoulders.

“I don’t know. All I know is that I saw him ride off to the woods on that gigantic black horse.”

“Avaldamon? What was Yami doing riding Avaldamon? Are you sure it was him?”

“Of course it was him. No one else has hair like that.” He said with a laugh.

“Well, Yugi is asking for us to find Yami.”

“I don’t know if he’s back, but I’ll go to the stables and wait for him, if you’d like? Then I’ll send him here when I see him.” Malik smiled.

“That would be wonderful!”

“Sure, I have nothing else to do today and it would be my pleasure to help out a good friend of Ryou’s. I’ll even leave Keir here with you for extra protection. He’ll stand watch outside the tent and bark if anyone tries to enter.” He knelt down on one knee in front of the large dog. “You stay here and be a good boy, okay.” Malik looked at the dog suspiciously, who just panted up at him and wagged it’s tail. He ruffled the fur on the dog’s head. “I’ll be back soon. Be good.” The dog barked and wagged his tail at his master’s retreating figure. Malik turned back into the tent and winked at Ryou.

“He’s such a charmer!” Ryou flushed. “You have to hang around with him more, Ryou!”

“Oh, he is…but Bakura wouldn’t like it if I was running around with Hrothgar. He made that quite clear.” Malik rolled his eyes.

“You’re no fun! You have to get out more!”

“Who was that?” Yugi finally asked from the bed.

“Oh, that was Hrothgar, the guy we’re currently trying to hook up with Ryou.” Ryou blushed from his spot but said nothing. “He said he saw Yami ride off on Avaldamon this morning.” Yugi frowned.

“Road off?”

“Yeah. But Hrothgar is going to go wait for him and when he comes back, he’ll send him here. That way you won’t be alone. You better eat your soup before it gets cold.”

It was late afternoon when Yami had finally returned to the camp. Tristan was still with the horses and Marik was there with him. No doubt wondering why Yami had taken his horse. When they saw him coming, Tristan hurried over and opened the wooden gate for the horse to enter. Yami rode Avaldamon in the pen and over to Marik, who had his hands on his hips. He looked Yami up and down, taking notice of the blood splattered all over him.

“Where the hell did you go? And with my horse no less.” Yami bent down a bit and whispered to him.

“I’ll tell you later.”

“Ohhh…” Marik nodded. “Sure, okay.” Tristan then came over, taking Avaldamon by the reigns.

“You were gone for an awful long time, Yami. What happened to you?” He asked, also seeing the blood covering him. Yami pointed to the back of Avaldamon’s saddle where two slain rabbits were tied together.

“I did a little hunting on my own. You know, had to get away and clear my head for awhile.” Tristan nodded, but was still a little suspicious of Yami’s story. Yami hopped off the horse and Marik told Tristan to get the animal something to eat. Marik wanted to get rid of Tristan so he could here the true story behind Yami’s little trip.

“So spill it! What happened?” Yami looked around.

“I said I’ll tell you later. Meet me at my tent later tonight. Wait until my candles are out and Yugi is asleep. Give it awhile, and then we’ll talk.” Marik pouted

“But I want to know now, Yami!” Yami just shook his head which made Marik’s cheeks puff out angrily. Before he could say another word, Hrothgar came walking up to them, calling to Yami.

“Yami! I come delivering a message from your wife.”

“Is everything alright?!” He ask in alarm but calmed when Hrothgar put his hands up.

“Don’t worry, he’s alright. But he’s been asking for you all morning from what Malik told me. Malik said that when you came back that you were to go to Yugi right away.”

Yami was already off and running to his tent, not even thanking Hrothgar for delivering the message. He just wanted to get to Yugi and hold him. He felt horrible about leaving Yugi, but he had to take care of Sveyn. As he arrived at his tent, he noticed a large black dog sitting next to Keith. When Keith saw Yami coming he stood up.

“Yugi’s been waiting to see you.” Yami nodded.

“I’ve heard. What’s with the dog?”

“Sutherland’s dog. He left it here to keep an extra eye out and he’ll be keeping me company at night, right boy?” The dog barked. Malik stuck his head out of the tent and gasped when he saw Yami.

“Where the hell were you all this time?! And what happened to you? You’re covered in blood! Don’t let Yugi see you like this!” Yami just rolled his eyes.

“I was busy, but I’m here now. So you and the others can leave, except for Keith and the dog. I want to be alone with Yugi.” Malik stepped out of the tent.

“I’m the only one here anyway. Jou and Ryou were both called away by their men. And Yugi is sleeping right now, so if you want to wake him up, you can. But I suggest letting him sleep for a bit. He was so worried about you when he heard you ran off.” Yami raised a brow.

“Who told him I left?”

“Hrothgar. He came by to see if Yugi needed anything and told us that you had left with Avaldamon. He’s been worried
sick ever since.” Yami patted Malik on the shoulder and walked pass him.

“Thanks for keeping an eye on him for me.”

“It’s not a problem at all, though he really wanted you instead of us.” Yami chuckled.

“Go find your husband. I’m sure he’s missed you all morning.”

“Right. I’ll see you two later.”

Yami entered his tent and looked around the area, finding Yugi asleep in their new furs and Annar in his basket bed. Yugi had his back to the flap and the furs pulled up high over his neck, resting on his cheek. All Yami could make out was Yugi’s mop of hair on the dull coloring of the fur. He tiptoed over to the bed and crawled under the covers, wanting to surprise Yugi with his return. He pressed up against the lithe back and slid his hand down Yugi’s belly, stroking it lovingly. He heard Yugi gasp and he was suddenly pushed back as his lover shot up from the bed. Yugi let out a scream as he swiftly turned around, holding the furs up to his chest. He didn’t recognize who it was at first, but when he did, his eyes widened like saucers and they welled up.

“Y-Yami…?!” Yami was still in shock by Yugi’s sudden show of behavior. Yugi had never reacted that way when Yami wanted to surprise him with his presence. Damn that Oddvar scum!

“I’m back Yugi…It’s just me.” Yugi fell into his arms and wrapped his own tightly around Yami’s neck, squeezing tight.

“Oh Yami! I missed you so much! Where were you all this time?!” He pulled away from Yami to look into his eyes. “You’re drenched in blood! Did something happen to you? Did you get into a fight?”

“Whoa, whoa, slow down Yugi.” Yami said, taking Yugi’s tear stained cheeks in his hands. “I’m all right, nothing bad happened. I just had to clear my mind for a while love, and I did some hunting.” Yugi sniffed.

“But I wanted you here!”

“I know Yugi, but I had to let off some steam before I took it out on the wrong people. You know how short tempered I am, and I just needed to get away before I made things worse. And the blood, that’s just from the animals I slew. Everything’s all right…I’m here now.” Yugi fell into him again, trembling as he did.

“Will you hold me?”

“Of course.”

Yami folded his legs and let Yugi settle himself into a comfortable position. He laid his head against Yami’s heart, listening to the soft thumping behind the skin. He traced a finger along Yami’s firm chest, avoiding the spots of the blood. Yami’s arms were wrapped around his hips protectively, and Yugi felt more at ease now then he did all day. Yami’s touch was strong, but gentle in it’s own way. He felt safe and warm in Yami’s arms. Now that Yami was here with him, he had nothing to fear.

“I love you, Yami.” He whispered and nuzzled his check into Yami’s collar bone.

“I love you too, Yugi.” Yami replied and kissed the top of Yugi’s hair. “How are you feeling today?”

“Still a bit sore…but I feel better…now that you’re here with me.” Yami kissed the top of his head again, burying his nose in the soft hair. “Yami…will you do something for me?”

“Of course love. Anything.”

“Will you claim me once again?” Yami’s eyes shot open in surprise as he pulled his face out of Yugi’s hair to look at him in bewilderment. Yugi just looked up at him with large, watery eyes and fisted his small hands in Yami’s tunic.

“Yugi, are you out of your mind?!”

“Please Yami, I’m serious!” He cried. “I still feel him in me! His pain is still present within my body and I can’t take it
any more! I don’t care if you hurt me since the pain will be inflicted by you! I rather have the pain YOU give me than that other sick bastard’s! Please Yami! Please?” he whispered the last bit, looking up at Yami with pleading eyes. Yami shook his head.

“No Yugi…I can’t…no, I won’t do that to you.” Yugi’s eyes welled with fresh tears. “You’re only saying this because you’re hysterical over what has just happened to you. You’re not thinking clearly, and that’s completely understandable.”

“But Yami-“

“I said ‘no’ and I mean it. Now stop it.” Yugi fell silent and lowered his eyes, focusing on Yami’s blood speckled tunic. “I believe in you, Yugi. I believe you are strong enough to pull through this yourself. We’ll wait until you’re good and ready.” Yugi buried his face in Yami’s shirt and started to cry.

“But I’m not strong…not strong like you.” Yami held him.

“Everyone is strong in their own way, Yugi. I know you are strong in mind and spirit; and that will help guide you through this.” Yugi sniffled.

“You think too highly of me, Yami. I want to be strong like you…something like this would have never happened to me if I were stronger.” Yami sighed.

“Yugi…I became strong by having to endure many hardships, burdens, and obstacles. I had to guide and protect two unruly brothers, take care of a mother who was always sick, having to endure the brunt of a father’s drunken moods and constant training, and just noble society in general. But I believe you were strong from the start."

"I don't believe that." Yugi said flatly.

"You'll see I'm right, but in time." He kissed his forehead. "Go to sleep now. I'll be here when you wake up."

"Promise?"

"Promise." Yugi slid off of Yami's lap and settled down on the furs. Yami joined him and brought the covers over them. Yugi cuddled into Yami and held him tight, giving out a long sigh. Yami rest his head against Yugi's hair, but wouldn't let himself fall asleep until he heard Yugi’s light snoring. He rubbed slow, gentle circles over Yugi’s back, trying to coax him into sleep. Yugi just murmured under his touch and curled closer, almost trying to mold into Yami’s body. It didn’t take long for Yugi to fall back into his sleep. Yami stayed awake, unable to fall asleep. He kept replaying the events that happened today over and over in his mind, grinning like a madman. Just those thoughts alone were enough to keep him awake and sane for the time.

Seto sat out the king's tent for most of the morning, waiting to meet with him. He had to tell Olaf what had happened to Yugi last night, and ask him about the free ale story. It just so happens, the mighty king had gotten himself roaring drunk at the party and was sleeping the hangover away. Now Seto had to take time out of his busy life to wait for the king to wake up. Could today get any worse? A guard came out of the tent and stood in front of him.

"Seto, the king is awake and waiting to see you."

“Is he sober?” Seto asked the guard. “What I have to tell him is very important.” The guard rolled his eyes but nodded.

“Yeah, he’s sober, but a bit grouchy so don’t take anything personally.” Seto walked pass the guard and into the tent. Two more guards were standing at the tent flap that led into King Olaf’s room. They stepped aside and let him enter the area where Olaf was sitting up in bed, eating some bread. He swallowed what bit he was chewing when he saw Seto and placed it on the end table.

“Good morning, King Olaf. I have something to report.”

“About Bakura?”

“No, this is about Yugi, but I thought you should know about it.” Olaf laid back on his pillows and crossed his arms.

“What about him?” Seto took a seat in one of the spare chairs.

“Last night, Yugi was raped by a masked man.” Olaf lifted his brows in surprise.

“That little guy? Why would someone do that to him? Did Yami anger someone enough to push them to seek revenge using Yugi?” Seto shrugged his shoulders.

“I don’t think so, but there was something very strange about how this rape went around.” Olaf raised an eyebrow. “Keith,
Yugi’s bodyguard, was drugged with some sleeping powder placed in the ale. Both Yugi and Keith said that a man was going around the camp with a tray of mugs, saying that they were free by orders of the king himself.” Olaf looked taken aback.

“What?! I didn’t give away anything for free, much less my precious ale! You can tell Yami that I had nothing to do with any free ale.” Seto nodded.

“Which leads me to believe that this was a set up. Someone snuck into my tent and stole some of my sleeping powder. This whole thing was planned but for what reason?” Olaf let out a sigh.

“Well, I can tell you that I had nothing to do with the ale, but what do you want me to do about this?”

“I just wanted to ask you about the ale is all.”

“King Olaf!” Came a call through the tent flap. “There is someone here to see Seto.”

“Who is it?” Olaf called back. Before the guard could answer, Duke pushed his way through the flap.

“Duke?” Seto stood up from the chair. “What is it? Have you found something?” Duke removed his cloak, throwing it onto another spare chair.

”I have big news!” Seto sat back down.

“I’m listening.”

“Okay, so I was sneaking around the Oddvar camp when Mikkel came running through, in a panic, saying that Sveyn’s been killed!” Both Seto and Olaf exchanged shocked glances. “Apparently, Mikkel and Sveyn went out with the hunting party this morning and they must have gotten separated at some point. But during that time, Sveyn had to have been attacked by wolves, or that was what Mikkel had figured. He said he went looking for him when he found some of his shredded clothes and a leg, or what was left of it.

Now, the Oddvar brothers were in shock by the news and naturally they were upset. But what I noticed about Dahlia was that she didn’t seem upset over the death of her brother. Everyone else was near tears, yet she remained silent and still. She almost looked relieved in a way, and I could swear I saw the hint of a smile on her lips. Now I need your opinion on this, Seto. Are you thinking along the same lines as I am about her behavior?” Seto crossed his legs and took a few seconds to think about Duke’s words.

“Are you thinking that maybe it was Sveyn who raped Dahlia?” Olaf slapped his fist into his palm.

“That would make sense since she was staying in his tent!” Seto turned to Olaf.

“You’re right about that, your majesty.” Then they both made faces of disgust. “Sveyn always was a bit on the…um…odd side.” Olaf stuck out his tongue.

“By Odin’s bones that is disgusting! It’s a good thing that the wolves got to him! If what we think was proven right, I would have him executed in a second! Dying by wolves would be nothing like what I would do to him!” Seto stood up.

“Which leads to the reason as to WHY she would chose to frame Bakura. She has to save her reputation as a noblewoman and the Oddvar name. Something like incest would ruin the family name, and the Oddvar’s really have nothing on them to damage their name. Even after all the years they’ve existed.”

“So what’s your next step?” Asked Olaf.

“I need to go and speak with Dahlia on this matter.”

“Do you honestly think the Oddvar’s would leave you alone with their sister?” Olaf pointed out

“That’s where you come in, your highness. If I have written permission from you to speak with Dahlia privately, they can’t refuse. Will you do it?”

“Not a problem! Just give me until nightfall to rest up a bit. You are dismissed.” Seto and Duke bowed to the king before leaving his tent. Seto placed a hand on Duke’s shoulder.

“You did well, Duke, but I must ask you to continue spying.”

“I have no objection to that!” Duke said with a smile. “I hate just sitting around the tent all day like some frumpy wife!”

Yami’s tent:

Yami waited until Yugi’s breathing was slow and even, a sign that he was deep asleep. Carefully, he slid out from under Yugi’s arm, placing it down gently on the furs. Yugi murmured and clenched his fist, but didn’t wake up. Yami pulled the fur blanket up over Yugi’s shoulders and tip toed over to the tent flap. He laced up his boots and exited the tent, hurrying over to Keith’s. He and Sutherland’s dog would have to keep an eye on Yugi until he got back. When Keith was settled at his post, Yami hurried back to Marik’s tent, peeking inside. Malik was sound asleep on the furs, but no sign of Marik. Yami figured he must already be waiting for him.

When he got there, Marik was sitting on the ground with his back against a tree. He looked half asleep and had a small jug of ale next to him. When he saw Yami running his way, he immediately stood up and hopped from one foot to the other. He was eager to know the REAL reason Yami came home covered in blood.

“What happened?! What happened?!”

“Shush you num nut! You want the whole camp to hear?” Marik covered his mouth and ceased his dancing.

“Sorry. So what happened?” He asked more calmly, leaning back against the tree. Yami looked around before he started talking.

“I know who raped Yugi.” Marik’s brows went up. “Sveyn Oddvar.”

“That little shit stain?!” Yami crossed his arms and stood more comfortably.

“Annar told me. Apparently, while he was “sick in bed”, he saw Sveyn raping Yugi. Fortunately, he doesn’t know the real meaning behind it other than the fact he was hurting Yugi. I know why Yugi told Annar not to tell me.” Marik smirked.

“Because you’d get mad and go on a murderous rampage?” Yami smirked back at him.

“Something like that.” Marik’s smirk turned into a curious grin.

“Oooo…do tell.”

“I tortured the little fuck…slowly. The reason I took Avaldamon is because he was covered in various sharp weapons.” He smiled dangerously at Marik. “You’re always prepared, aren’t you?” Marik slid down the tree trunk and gave a lop sided grin.

“You know it.”

“So first I hunted him a bit, you know, making him scared. Then I attacked with Avaldamon, knocked him right off his horse.” He looked down at his right fist. “And I’ve learned that if you punch someone long and hard enough, blood sprays out in all directions.” Marik scoffed and rolled his eyes.

“No kidding! I could have told you that! Remember that guy at the tavern who was calling me “Porcupine Head”? I
punched that bastard to the point where you couldn’t even make out his face.” Yami smirked.

“I did MUCH MORE than that to Sveyn.”

“I’m sure. Tell me, why did you decide to tell only me about this?” Marik asked with a grin.

“Because I know that if you were in my position, you would have done the same thing. I need to gloat my victory and revenge to someone to who will understand.” Marik threw his head back and laughed.

“You actually put thought to this! I’m honored, big brother, that you chose to tell ME about this!”

“Yeah, so keep your trap shut. Don’t breathe a word of this to ANYONE, got that?” Marik nodded and held up his hand.

“I swear on Freya’s voluptuous breasts!” Yami rolled his eyes.

“I’ll take that as a ‘yes’, you rogue.”

“And I wear that title proudly!”

At the Oddvar camp…

Seto walked through the enemy camp with his back strait and his head high, ignoring all the glares tossed his way. Everyone was looking at him with disgust and distain, silently wondering what he was doing here, in their territory. The hateful eyes still watched him as he walked to the front of Ludmund’s tent, showing no fear as the two guards blocked his path with their swords.

“I wish to speak with your lord.” He stated calmly.

“Wait here.” Said one guard as he disappeared into the tent. Seto waited for only a few minutes until Ludmund walked out with the same guard behind him. He crossed his arms over his chest and stared coldly at Seto.

“What is your business with me this late at night?”

“I wish to speak privately with Lady Dahlia.” Ludmund scoffed.

“Do you honestly think I’d let her spend time alone with an enemy?” Seto held out a scroll tied with black ribbon.

“You have no choice in the matter. This is a letter from the king himself, stated that, for this case, I am to speak privately with Lady Dahlia.” Ludmund grabbed the scroll and opened it, reading its contents. He frowned deeply and threw it back at Seto, who caught it with ease. “Come on, Ludmund, you know me well enough to know I won’t harm your sister. I’m just trying to clear Bakura’s name and end this case so we can all get on with our lives and enjoy the games.” Ludmund looked him up and down, giving out a grunt.

“Fine! You can’t take her as far as out of our camp grounds, understand?!” Seto nodded.

“Of course.” Ludmund turned his back.

“I’ll go get her.”

Once again, Seto waited patiently for Dahlia and Ludmund to emerge. The guards were still staring at him suspiciously, and it was grating on his nerves. If he wasn’t suppose to be acting calm and collective, he would have banged their heads together long before now. Soon Ludmund came out with Dahlia who had a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. She looked at Seto and cowered a bit under his gaze. Seto tried to smile when he really wanted to grab her and shake her viscously for causing so much unnecessary trouble. But if he wanted to get anything out of her, he needed to come off as trustworthy. She was gullible enough.

“Good evening, Lady Dahlia. I’m sorry to disturb you so late, but I am under strict orders from the king himself to talk to you. We have some things to discuss about this case.” She whimpered and looked up at Ludmund, hiding her face in his chest.

“Can’t you see she’s not up to it?!” Seto crossed his arms.

“It’s not up to me but the king himself. If you have a problem with this, please, take it up with him.” Ludmund had nothing to say to that, so he kept his mouth shut and settled on a glare.

“Don’t be frightened, Dahlia, Seto won’t try anything.” Seto nodded and held out his arm to her.

“I just need to ask you a few questions.” Dahlia looked frightened but slowly took Seto’s arm. He led her to the end of the camp, making sure everyone was out of hearing range. She pulled away from him and backed away a few steps, tightening her hold on the blanket.

“What is it that you want?” She asked nervously. Seto’s calm exterior turned to a smirk which made her cringe.

“I know the true behind your lies, little girl.” Her eyes widened in pure shock and fear.
