Chapter 10: Truly in Love

(Kaiba Manor, Kaiba's bedroom)

"Are we done for the day?"

"Yea Jou. We are. Now, what was it you wanted to talk to me about?"

"I want to talk about us."

"What abut us? Are you not happy being with me after 5 years Jou?"

I look at the face of my innocent lover as he hangs his head low.

"Katsuya, what's wrong?"

"Nothing. I was just thinking about how happy I am with you is all. I
can't believe that we're been ogether so long, yet everyday feels
like the 1st day we ever started dating."

Jou leaps atop of me and passionately kisses my neck.

"Come on Jou, it's got to be more than just that."

"Well, if you really want to know the truth, just snap out of it and I'll
tell you Seto!"

Huh...what happened? Daydreaming...I'm getting bad.

"Kaiba? Kaiba? Are you ok? You were out of it for a minute."

"Yea, I'm fine. Now what was that you had to talk to me about?"

"About us?"

"What about us?"

Deja vu?

"I just wanted to let you know that...what-happened-the-other-night-
was-just-a-fluke."

"Ok..." I reply, replying it in my mind to understand the words. "How
was it a fluke?"

"I love you Seto, I really do. But I didn't think you love me back."

"What made you think that?" I say, caressing his mane.

"It's just that what you've been doing with all those other females
and males. I was thinking that I was just another name on your list."

I didn't expect this from him.

"No, you are not. There are no more names on my list, because all of
them are gone, and you are the only one that remains. The only reason
I tease you in school, because I like you. And that was the only way
that I could 'show' it to you."

"What a wonderful way of showing your emotions." He says under
his breath.

"Gomen nasai, Katsuya. I never realized how much I could love
anyone, much less a male, until we became partners. You're always
in a care-less, generally happy mood. I want to be more like you
Jou, no. I want to be with you forever."

I kiss the back of his hand. He lifts my head up and kisses me. This
time much, much longer, passionately, and elaborately than the
bathroom kiss.

"I guarantee to you Katsuya, that I will never go back to my old
ways. I realize it now that you were all that I had ever needed in
my life."

"I never realized it either Kaiba. I want to tell my friends a fam family about you. The real you, but I know that they will be....
confused about us together. To think that you and I aren't
arguing, nevertheless, dating."

"Don't call me Kaiba. Call me Seto. I love the way you say my
name. But anyways, we can keep this a secret love. Until we are
both more comfortable with each other, and we get to the point
where we can tell our friends and family, ok."

"Ok. So what about school?"

"Yea...what about it?"

"The image that we show everyone."

'Yea...just act like we still hate each other, and then we can
eventually come out."

(In School Yard, during lunch hour)

Jou and I have been seeing each other for a few months
now, and yes, we still haven't told anyone about ourselves.
Besides, no one's suspicious anyways.

"Hey Seto." Jou says walking over.

We kiss and he sits across from me.

"So, how's everyhing going koi?"

"Fine. Yugi's been asking me a lot of questions, which of course
has Honda and Ryou in question, so it's been like I'm on trial."

"Are you ready yet? I'm not ashamed of you. I could give a
care less of what anyone thinks of us."

"No, not yet. I think it's more fun that we do this. I enjseeiseeing you in secret."

I look behind Jou and notice Yugi, Honda, and Ryou walking
towards us.

"Go somewhere inu! Get out of my face!" I say winking at Jou.

"You rich brat, don't appreciate anything but yourself!"

"Did anyone invite you to this party in the first place?"

"Yea, me! Got a problem snob?!"

"Go away inu! I'm not ready for a pet today."

"Why you..."

Jou stands up as if he's about to hit me. Honda restrains him.

"You're lucky your prick that Honda was here, or I'll tear
your ass apart!"

"Try it and see what happens to you, inu!"

"Come on Jou, calm down. He isn't worth your breath arguing
against." Honda says to him.

"Come on Jounouchi-kun. I'm sick and tired of the two of you
bickering. How ever did the two of you get through the Partner
Project together?" Ryou adds.

"That's a good question Ryou. I wonder that sometimes myself." Jou
replies to him.

We start back arguing once more, but tim time Yugi, Honda, and Ryou
walk off.

"I'm tired of this..." Honda says.

"Each and every day it's the same thing with those two..." Yugi adds.

"I'm not going to help him when he's in a hospital somewhere." Ryou
says waving back in an 'I don't care' mode.

We make sure they're out of sight and hearing range before we
finally stop arguing. We laugh.

"Nice job, inu."

"Thanks, snob."
