Chapter 10: Rain and a Song
Marik’s tent:
Malik awoke from his nap, startled by a loudnd. nd. He looked around for answers to the noise, when he saw some dark spots on the tent top and drops of water dripping down. He scowled as he realized it was raining, and the sound he heard was thunder. Malik hated the rain, and hated places where it rained INSIDE! The tent didn’t hold the rain water all that well. He’ll have to talk to Marik about building him a house instead of living in a tent.
Speaking of Marik, where was he? Malik watched him leave with the hunting party earlier, but the storm should have brought them back. Or, maybe he was back, and just didn’t come and see him. Malik fumed. That BETTER not be the case, or Marik was going to be meeting with some- Malik stopped in his words as he felt something wet hit his head. He looked up and got a raindrop in his eye. He cursed and wiped his eye with his sleeve. Damn he hated being wet! So he got up from the bed and gathered up all the furs, carrying them to a safe, dry place. No way was he going to sleep tonight with wet blankets!
There was another flash of lighting and a roar of thunder. The wind had kicked up and started blowing the tent flap. Malik yelped as he was sprayed with water. Quickly, he ran over the flap, and saw two pieces of rope at the bottom corners of it. Ignorihe rhe rain, he fell to his knees and tied both pieces of rope to the wooden tent poles, securing the flap. Now, he was free of water and wind. But, now the tent started swaying with the powerful winds. Malik growled in frustration as more leak spots covered the tent top. Yes, Marik WAS going to build him a house!
“MALIK! ARE YOU IN THERE!? OPEN THE DAMN FLAP!” Malik heard Marik’s voice and ran over to the flap, only untying one corner. Marik slipped inside, sighing in relief. Malik looked him over, noting that he looked like a drowned rat. His hair was completely frizzy and he was covered in mud. Not to mention he was dripping wet. Marik threw off all his hunting gear and flopped down in a nearby chair, wiping away the water that trickled down his face.
“What happened, Marik? Why are you covered in mud?” Marik looked at his lover and grunted.
“Well, the rain came out of nowhere and we didn’t see this deep ravine ahead of us. And, as you can guess, most of us slid down it, including me.” Malik couldn’t help but giggle. “You think that’s funny?” Marik raised a questioning brow at him.
“I’m sorry, Marik. But I was just thinking of the other day when I knocked you down, face first in the mud!” Marik flushed just slightly, remembering that moment well.
“So, what did you do today, little mink?” Malik picked up a piece of cloth and started rubbing Marik’s face, wiping away the mud. Marik just sat there, enjoying the treatment he was getting.
“Well, I polished your axe and hung with Yugi for awhile. After that, I decided to take a nap.” Marik smirked.
“Sounds like you had a hard day.” Malik chuckled.
“You could say that. Oh, and by the way lover, I want you to build me, or rather US, a little house.” Marik looked at him with a surprised expression.
“A house? Why?” Malik pointed to the dark spots covering the tent top.
“In case you haven’t noticed, this place is completely useless when it comes to rain. And I can’t STAND being wet! I mean look at this place! It’s suppose to rain outside, not inside! So,” Malik plopped himself in Marik’s lap sideways and drug his finger along Marik’s bottom lip. “Will you consider building us a house? Please lover? It doesn’t have to be real big. Just bigger than a hut and this tent, okay?” Malik bat his eyelashes and placed his forehead on Marik’s. “Please Marik? I would make a wonderful little love nest for after we’re married, right?” Malik knew he would win with the mention of marriage. And he was right, for the large grin told him so.
“If you really want one, Malik, then I’ll have one built for us. I’ll start on it tomorrow.” Malik hugged him around the neck.
“Oh thank you Marik! This means so much to me! I love you so much!” Malik smiled happily, and if he had a tail, it would be wagging. He always got what he wanted! Life was sweet!
“Why don’t you show me how much you DO love me?” Malik brought his face back to Marik’s, both wearing a smirk. Malik purred and crushed his lips to Marik’s in a bruising kiss. Marik brought his hands up to Malik’s shoulders and pulled the loose tunic down to pool at his waist. Malik squirmed his body around until the tunic slipped to the ground, leaving him bare. Malik shivered as Marik’s cold hands stroked his back, pulling him closer to his armored chest. The cold surface of the armor felt so sensual against his heated skin. He couldn’t help but moan into the kiss. He pulled away with a gasp as he felt himself lifted up into Marik’s arms, his cold hands gripping his ass as he carried him over to the pile of furs.
Marik lowered Malik to the furs and crawled on top of Malik, staring down at him lovingly. Marik’s hand entwined with Malik’s soft one, gripping tight. Malik had his feet spread wide apart, giving Marik enough room to settle between his legs.
“I love you.” Marik whispered onto Malik’s lips.
“I love you more.” Malik smiled and met Marik’s lips. They kept the kiss soft and gentle rather than hard and demanding. Malik’s other hand stroked the back of Marik’s hair and pulled his head down to deepen the kiss. He drug his thin, tanned legs up and down Marik’s sides, moaning as he did. He felt Marik growing exceptionally hard and became more excited himself.
Marik’s hand broke away from Malik’s as he slowly slid it down the long body to stroke one of the tanned thighs that teased him so. Malik’s hands slid up and down Marik’s strong, muscular back, marveling at the texture. He could never get over how hard and rough Marik’s body was compared to his. It always made him all hot and bothered.
Marik’s lips moved down from his mouth to attack the tan neck. Malik’s head fell back as he moaned in pleasure. Marik held the back of his neck up so he could feast hungrily on it. He drug his tongue up and down the smooth neck, making Malik gasp and writhe under him.
“Mmm...Marik...” he panted out. “Hurry! Stop teasing me!” Marik looked down at him, smirking evilly.
“Eager aren’t we?” He chuckled “Okay, we’ll do it your way.” Malik nodded.
“No preparation. Just do it...”
“Are you sure? I don’t want to-” Malik shook his head and held Marik’s face lovingly.
“You could never hurt me...anyway, it’s a good hurt. Please, I want you! Now...!” He writhed on the furs. “Take me hard...!” Marik positioned his hips, taking one of Malik’s hands in his.
“Ready?”
“More than ready!” Marik entered Malik in one thrust, making Malik moan in both pain and pleasure. Marik paused to let Malik become adjusted, but Malik thrust his hips forward, urging him on. Marik let go and started a powerful, heavy rhythm of thrusts. Malik screamed out his pleasure every time Marik hit his prostate. He wrapped his arms around Marik’s back and drug his tails along the muscles as Marik pounded him into the furs. Malik’s screams could be heard over the booming thunder, and Marik couldn’t help but grin.
“More....ah!! Ah!! Faster!!!” He had to take short breaths to speak, the deep thrusting taking away some of his air. “Harder...” Marik sped up, making Malik’s eyes roll in the back of his head. “Yes!!” He gasped out “I want more...!”
Marik rolled them over so Malik on top of him. Malik threw his head back and bounced up and down on Marik’s member. Marik put his arms behind his head and let Malik set the pace. Malik tossed his head around, occasionally dragging his hand through his hair. Malik groaned as he felt himself reaching completion and he urged his body faster upon Marik’s. Marik’s hands suddenly gripped his thighs as he thrust up hard into Malik’s body. Malik threw his back and gave long scream of pleasure as he came. Marik followed a second after, emptying himself deep into his lover’s bowels. Malik collapsed onto Marik’s chest, breathing deeply. Marik stroked the lithe back gently, trying to catch his own breath. The storm seemed to fade away as they lost themselves in each other’s company.
Jou was still curled up against the side of a tent, shivering from the cold rain. He hadn’t moved from the spot since Seto left him earlier. There was a flash of lighting and Jou quickly hid his face in his folding arms, crying lightly. He didn’t like thunderstorms at all, they frightened him. Usually he had Seto to comfort him, but....Seto. The name played over and over again in his head.
Maybe...maybe he HAD misunderstood the situation. In all fairness, he didn’t really give Seto a chance to talk. He was just so upset and hurt that he didn’t even think of hearing Seto’s side of the story. But, he reacted the same way any person would if they saw their lover with another. And Jou had always known that lousy messenger had the hots for Seto! It was so obvious! He had caught Seto looking at him a few times, but he wasn’t sure if it was a look of interest. He shouldn’t have thrown that part at Seto if he was sure about it himself. But, when he saw them together, Seto wasn’t fighting back at ALL! Seto was much stronger than that guy by a long shot! So why didn’t he just throw or push him off? What the hell was going on!?
Another crash of thunder sent Jou into a panic and he shot up from the ground, running for cover. But, he didn’t know where to go and didn’t want to intrude on anybody. The only place he could go to, where he felt safe, was Seto’s tent. He wanted to hear what Seto had to say anyway, so he hurried to his lover’s tent. The flap was tied shut so Jou got on the ground and crawled under the flap, entering the tent. He took in a few breaths as he pushed his wet, heavy bangs out of his face.
“Jou?” Jou looked up as he saw Seto resting on the bed of furs. He had a bandage wrapped around his chest and shoulder. Seto quickly got up and grabbed a fur blanket, bringing it over to Jou. He wrapped it around Jou’s shoulders who didn’t seem to protest the gesture. Seto let out a sigh of relief.
“Seto, we need to talk.”
“Yes, we do. Let me explain, Jou.” Seto helped his pup up and walked him over to the furs, sitting him down. Seto sat next to him and slipped the rest of the furs up over their laps, trying to warm Jou up. He was wet and shivering from head to foot. “Jou, listen to me. What happened was not what you think. Slepir was just bringing me a letter from Mokuba when he jumped me. Because of my shoulder wounds, I didn’t want to risk tearing the stitches. I tried to throw him off with my legs, but I really underestimated Slepir’s strength. That’s the time you walked in, and saw us. Please Jou, believe my words. I don’t’ feel anything for Slepir, only you.” Jou sniffed.
“But, I always noticed you looked at Slepir a few times in the past.” Seto shook his head.
“I don’t recall ever doing that. But if it was during the first days of our relationship, then I don’t doubt that I did.” Jou looked at him with wide, hurt eyes. “But, that was before I knew I loved you. I was just a horny Viking warrior, you knew that. But I do love you, Jou.”
Jou sighed as he took in Seto’s words. Everything he said made perfect sense, and it was all just a misunderstanding like he said. He felt so stupid for doubting Seto’s love for him! However, Seto DID admit he had looked at Slepir before, and that made Jou not angry, but jealous. Seto was HIS man.
“I-I’m sorry, Seto. I should have listened to what you had to say. Do you forgive me?” Seto smiled and hugged Jou close.
“Of course I forgive you. I would have probably acted the same way you did if I caught you with another man. Which I hope I never do.” Jou chuckled.
“You won’t, I promise. But, Seto, please....I-I just need you to prove your love for me. Anything, just show me that you love me.” Seto smiled again and stroked Jou’s wet hair.
“I know how I can prove my love for you. I was saving this for our first year anniversary, but I guess I can sing it for you now.” Jou pulled his head away and looked up at him.
“A song?” Seto nodded.
“It’s a song I wrote just about us. I’ve been working on it for a long time, and I hope you like it.”
“I love your singing Seto! Please, sing it for me.” Jou buried his face into Seto’s neck, breathing in his scent. Softly, Seto began to sing.
“Lover, I'm your knight in shining armor
And I love you.
You have made me what I am
And I am yours.
My love, there's so many ways
I want to say I love you.
Let me hold you in my arms forever more.” Jou snuggled closer.
“You have gone and made me such a fool,
I'm so lost in your love.
And oh, we belong together.
Won't you believe in my song?”
“Lover, for so many years I thought
I'd never find you.
You have come into my life
And made me whole.
Forever, let me wake to see you
Each and every morning.
Let me hear you whisper softly
In my ear.”
“In my eyes I see no one else but you.
There's no other love like our love.
And yes, oh yes,
I'll always want you near me.
I've waited for you so long.”
“Lover, your love's the only love I need
And beside me is where I want you to be.
'Cause, my love, there's something
I want you to know,You're the love of my life,
You're my lover.”
Jou let a few tears trickled down his cheek as he heard Seto’s song. How could he have doubted Seto’s love for him? He wrote song just for them, expressing their love for one another.
“Oh Seto, that was beautiful.”.
“Are you still mad at me, Jou?” Jou shook his head softly and pulled his lover closer, hugging him tight.
“No Seto, I forgive you. I was such a fool...you should be angry with me.” Seto lifted Jou’s chin up and their eyes met.
“Pup, I could never be angry with you. You know I love you to much for that.” Jou smiled and gave Seto a quick kiss on the cheek.
“I love you too, Seto. Forever.” There was another crash of thunder and Jou clutched himself to Seto. “I-I’m scared, Seto.” Seto laid down on the furs and pulled Jou with him. Jou hid his face in Seto’s shoulder as strong arms wrapped around his waist.
“Don’t worry pup, I’ll always be here to protect you.” Jou smiled and sighed in content. He was so lucky to have found love with Seto. A sudden smell caught his senses and he realized it was the smell of blood. He lifted his head and gasped as he saw the bandage wet with blood.
“Oh no, Seto! Your wound hasned ned again!”
“Oh, that’s right.”
“I’ll take care of you, lover.”
Jou quickly got up from the bed and grabbed his needle and thread, along with a piece of cloth. Seto had already removed the bandage, throwing it to the side. Jou knelt behind him and gently patted the wound, cleaning it of the blood. Then, he threaded the needle and proceeded to stitch up the wound again. Seto gave a small hiss of pain as the needle made contact with his skin.
“Seto, did I hurt you?”
“Nah, it’s just a bit more sensitive than before. I can handle it.” Jou nodded and quickly stitched the wound back up. Then, he wrapped his arms around Seto’s neck from behind and pulled his close, careful of his wound.
“Feel better?”
“Yes. Thank you pup.” Seto unwrapped Jou’s arms from his neck and turned to face him. “Lay with me until the storm settles. I want to protect you, Jou.” Jou smiled and quickly moved around Seto until he was settled under the furs. Jou rest his head on Seto’s chest and sighed deeply, no longer having fear of the current storm. Seto was with him, and he knew no harm would ever come to him as long as Seto was near.
End chapter 10
I know, I know. Lots of fluff and romance. The song was origionally titled "Lady", but we can't have Seto calling Jou a lady, can we?^_^ there will be fighting in the next chapter, I promise!
