Chapter 9
Heartless

NOTE: Well Gozaburo not going to die like he did in the manga. Where he pushed out the window. I got a different idea. Grins evilly. Any who. Ding, ding we have a winner on my little test. Yui Sakurazuka you do get a prize. I’ll draw any of the Yugioh gang for you. And you get to take the Kaiba brothers home with yea. Don’t worry Seto doesn’t bite. And you get to beat up Gozaburo. Yeah! When you review just tell me what drawing you me to do ok.

Gozaburo grinned lightly at me. “Let’s just say he bled his first time being a bed buddy.” Gozaburo muttered holding up a bloody knife. I growled loudly. “Well he shouldn’t spy. Now should he?” Gozaburo mumbled as he go to his bathroom and cleaned off Seto’s blood. I stumble to my feet.

“You jerk. Why can’t you just leave my brothers alone” I mumbled as I fell back on my knees

“Because I like to hear them scream.” Gozaburo mumbled. I looked at him evilly. “Having fun trying to get up?” He mumbled coming over to me. The door opened and May stood there with her gun again. “May don’t even…” he was cut short when she fired the gun. Missing him but still showing him. She was serious.

“Get your clothes and get the hell out,” she grumbled.

“My house you get out” He growled back.

“It’s all mine ass. I g I got the gun” May growled. Gozaburo slowly grabbed his clothes and headed out into the hallway. May stayed right behind him until he was gone. She then broke down in tears as she race back up the stairs to check on Seto and I.

I stumbled to get my clothes and crawled to Seto’s room. Seto sat crying quietly curled up in a ball on his bed.

“Seto” I whispered. Seto doesn’t answers me. I slowly touch his shoulder causing him to jump. “Shhh” I whispered taking him in my arms. “He’s gone” Seto cried into my shoulder. May called the doctor having him come here. We had a heck of a time making up a story. If we say Gozaburo did it then it would mean that he would surely make him come back. Seto would have to stay in bed for two ½ weeks.

*****4 days later****

I turned over in bed. I couldn’t sleep for the heck of it. I could tell I was making myself sick again. I gently sigh. I was worried because Gozaburo had been leaving messages on how he will get what he wants. May could only be in one place at a time. Right now she was with Seto. Making sure he wasn’t in pain. I turned over in bed again.

I yelped when I was jerked up. My eyes come face to face with Gozaburo.

“What? Not happy to see me?” he whispered taking me into his strong hold. I couldn’t help but cry. Every thing we tried, he just came back. “I’m going to take you away.” He whispered lifting me. I didn’t struggle.

‘Why fight, it doesn’t help it just gets someone else hurt. At least my brothers will be ok.’ I thought as Gozaburo opened the door and walked quietly down the hallway.

Gozaburo had made it to the living room when May appear at the top of the stairs.

“Gozaburo I told you to stay away…. What do you think your doing with Ki?” she growled as she came down the stair. “You never acted like this with Noa” she whispered. I looked up.

“Noa?” I mused.

“Noa Kaiba. My real son. He’s dead though. For some weird reason. Seto looked like him asides for the hair color” Gozaburo mumbles. I blinked a couple times.

‘Gozaburo had been a father before.’ I thought

Gozaburo tightly held onto me. “May just go back to bed. I’m leaving,” he whispers.

“You’re not going with Ki.” She growledzabuzaburo gently set me down but kept a good hold on my arm.

“May don’t’ you start again. I’ll let him visit his brothers once in a while” Gozaburo whispered. I don’t really know what happen while they were fighting. But some how I pushed back. And just my luck a glass table just happened to be behind me. ash ash though it cutting into my back and arms. This caused both May and Gozaburo to stop their fighting, and rush to my side.

I cried loudly as they both rush me to the hospital. Mr. Sho stayed with Seto and Mokuba. I rested my head on May lap. They didn’t dare take my shirt off. They would let the doctor deal with it.

Well it took two days to get me fixed up. With trying to stop the bleeding, getting the glass out and stitches.

45 stitches in my back and 12 on each arm. Man, was it painful with no painkiller until they had got all the glass out. I wouldl asl as loud as I could every time they would feel for the glass. And once again, I was stuck in the hospital. At least I could sleep in peace with no real worries. Being that Mokuba and Seto were safe with Mr. Sho and Gozaburo couldn’t touch me in the hospital. It was the last time I saw him. His eyes were lost and filled with pain.

***3 month later***
I gently laughed as my family sang happy birthday to me. 13 years old today. May gently set the cake down in front of me. May gently sat down. She was about 4 months pregnant. The baby was something Gozaburo didn’t know about it and it was better that he didn’t find out. He had disappeared once more. I had already had my party with friends and now it was just family. Seto gently mess up my hair.

“Ooooo 13 now. A real teenager” he joked. I gently laughed as I playfully fought with Seto.

“Boys please” May said calmly. Seto and I finally let each other go out of our headlocks.

“Sorry mom” we both said calmly.

“Blow out the candles” Mokuba said happily. I took a deep breath and blew out the candles making a wish.

‘I wish to keep my family always safe’ I thought quietly. The others cheered.

“What ya wish for?” Mokuba asked.

“If I told you. It wouldn’t come true,” I replied tickling Mokuba until he was bright red.

“Hey you’re a vegetable now” I joked. May smile gently.

“Ooooo guys I found out what the baby is do you want to know?” She asked gently. Mokuba set his hand on May stomach.

“Now I get to be a big brother. So what is it going to be?” Mokuba asked quietly.

“A girl” May said gently.

I laughed. “That means will get to scare off all her boyfriends in the future.” I said with a griay gay gently laughed.

“Good you guys are happy that it’s a girl” May said gently. We nodded.

“Yep as long I don’t have to be all dress up when she want to play house” Mokuba said making a face. We laughed loudly.

“Don’t worry you wouldn’t have to. Until she starts with the puppy dog eyes like you guys do.” May whispers. We laughed again.

“This is going to be fun having a baby around. The best part is I get to be a big brother.” Mokuba said whilst dancing happily. I quietly watched him and then looked over at Seto and then over at May.

‘Family’s everything to you. It’s something you’re willing to give your life for. Or any pride you’ve got. To make sure their not hurt or touched. We did it and we made it though. Gozaburo’s gone. Even if he did come round. The coouldould be looking for him. Questioning on Maria’s death. Tuy tuy that was arrested had told the cops that he was a hired assassin. And that Gozaburo hired him.’ I darkly looked at a picture of Gozaburo over the fireplace. ‘The ass. He had her killed because he wanted me. And I was so dumb I fell right for it and went willingly to him. Ugh. I can hurt myself for that one.’ I slowly looked back at my family; they were quietly staring at me. “What?” I asked gently.

“Why do you look so sad? You’re supposed to be happy on your birthday” Mokuba said gently.

“I am,” I whispered. “I’ve got my cake, my gifts, and the best of all my family.” I said gently. That got me a hug from all three. I slowly stood and got my new gifts and took them up stairs. I gently set them on my dresser and looked out the window.

‘Life’s going to be much better’ I thought as I looked out the window.

I looked up hearing voice in the hall. ‘That voice sounds familiar.’ I thought as I come to the door and look out. I was pushed back into the room. “Gozaburo” I yelped. “But how? The cops are after you” I mumbled.

“I paid them off,” Gozaburo muttered then he grabbed my arms.

“No one’s stopping me from taking you and this house back.” Gozaburo muttered pulling me into his arms and kissing me deeply. I bit his lip he hit me hard in the stomach. He then pulled me up before going downstairs to have a long talk with May and my brothers. We came to a stop as May come up the stairs.

“Gozaburo Kaiba I want you to stay away and not come back to destroy my family” May said boldly. Gozaburo snots.

“No more of your loud mouth” Gozaburo muttered as he stepped up to May. My heart jumped a beat as I watched this. Gozaburo and May loved each other in there own ways. But this, I went pale as I watched May fall back. Her back hit the cold stairs as she continued to fall down. I can hear her neck break, as it hit’s the last step.

“NO MOM” I yelled as I race down the stairs.
