New Beginnings

(A/N: After much agonizing and fighting with the computers at the library, I'm picking up the story after they reach Hawaii....)


Joey stood on a balcony overlooking the ocean. The warm, tropical breeze floated over his skin, creating a peaceful feeling in him. He turned to walk back into the beach house and saw his sister standing in the doorway, wearing a new swimsuit. It was light blue and had white flowers on it. Mokuba had picked it out for her, because he had the matching swim trunks.

"Well, are you two lovebirds going down to swim with us or stay here engrossed in each other?" Serenity teased. "You know, Mokuba, why dont we just go downstairs and watch a movie. They need time alone, but I'm sure they don't want to worry about us."

"Serenity, Mokuba. Give us five minutes to change and we'll be downstairs." Seto reached over and ruffled his brother's hair. "I'm glad Joey got castcast off his hand. The doctor ought to be fired for saying he had a broken wrist when it was just sprained.'

He turned to see Joey already shucking off his clothes and pulling on a pair of black swimtrunks. Seto reached up in time to catch his own icy blue trunks. He changed while Joey pulled beach towels out of the linen closet. Mokuba and Serenity pulled towels out of his hands and raced ahead of them.

The hotel check in clerk had told them they'd come during the rainy season, but it was stunningly beautiul then. Very few tourists were milling around the airport, which made Seto happy.

Faint music played in the background, and lyrics blended together. Seto turned up the radio on the patio and took Joey in arms. Togehter they began to dance.

Lost in the music, Joey became aware of excited screaming and rain falling on them.renirenity raced up to the porch and hid under the awning. Joey and Seto looked up and laughed. The rain was reletivly warm, soaking them as they smiled at each other. Seto leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Joey's lips. The rain shower had slowed then stopped reavealing a breathtaking sunset in it's wake.

We can only imagine what great mysteries lie

Other stars

Later, after the sun had set, Joey cooked supper for his small family. Seto had wanted to go out to eat, but Mokuba talked him into letting Joey cook. After a nice supper, and Serenity and Mokuba were in bed, Seto and Joey went back into their bedroom to surrender themselves to Hawaii's romantic charm.
