Chapter 1


You would think that humans are the only ones who populated the earth however that conclusion is mistaken.

There is a unique specie known as angels and black angels that coexist amongst the human race for certain matters. Basically put, these angels purpose to come to earth is to send souls either to heaven or hell.

The white angels are known as the Archangels but every archangel has different ranks.

Example highest rank to lowest rank:

Highest rank - Power

Second highest - Tolerance
Third highest - Wisdom
Fourth highest - Truth

Second lowest - Peace
Lowest - Refinement

As for the black angels they are known as Lucifers but are mostly just called dark angels. The name Lucifer came from the fallen angel who went against god, however with dark angels there is no rank only the ruler Satan himself.

All dark angles obeyed his command and his alone their was no other dark angel which surpasses any other.

The archangels collect the good souls and take them to heaven why the dark angels take the bad souls to hell. It was known amongst all angels that both archangels and dark angels are partnered together.

God decides which one of his archangels will be partnered up with a dark angel. Both angels stay together why collecting souls until their time expires and they must return.

It was the one order every archangel and dark angel must follow even if neither angel hated it.

Their was one angel known as Saphrion who is an archangel not to mention a power which was the highest rank amongst all archangels.

He was of great beauty long flowing silver hair the brightest sapphire blue eyes and the most beautiful white wings any angle would be jealous of.

There are only four powers in heaven and he happened to be one of them, they are mostly known to be strong and powerful. It takes great skill to become a power and only god may chose who is eligible to take that position.

Their was just one thing powers did not have to partner up with a dark angel it was not their responsibility to take souls but to make sure every archangel and dark angel complete their duty.

If an angel does not take the soul that they have been assigned to take the powers would punish them. It was mostly the powers duty to keep the cycle amongst heaven and hell to keep spinning the right way.

Their was also one big rule that each angle must defiantly follow and that was their can be no love or affection between an archangel and a dark angel what so ever. Also falling for a mortal was out of the question as well. The second number one rule was not to allow any human see your true form.

They could not have their secret exposed to the human world no matter what the cost. The punishment for an archangel was they would be sent to hell and become a dark angel and the punishment for a dark angel was that they would turn into a demon.

These punishments didn’t acquire if they did not take the soul that was given a different punishment.

Saphrion was watching a dark angel from a far he had been watching this one for some time. It seemed that the dark angel still had not taken the soul of a young woman which had committed many crimes and did not deserve a place in heaven.

However the dark angel still had not fulfilled his duty it was starting to bother Saphrion. Once the dark angel was alone it was time for him to reveal himself and make sure that the soul was taken to hell.

The dark angel known as Coal walked down an alley way when he felt a very strong and disturbing presence.

He turned around quickly but no one was behind him but when Coal faced the front standing before him was Saphrion.

“You you’re a power aren’t you” Coal had a shiver go up his spine “tell me dark angel why haven’t you taken that woman’s soul to hell yet you do know the consequences don’t you” Saphrion said to him.

“Yes I have not forgotten its just I am waiting for her son to come I decided before taking her soul that she could say goodbye I know that she wants to say how sorry to him so please power allow me some extra time” Coal begged him.

“It is not your decision to make, when it is time for a soul to go to either heaven or hell then its time their cannot be any delays it is your duty as a dark angel to take the soul now do it otherwise I will have to punish you” Saphrion was getting angry.

Coal knew that he would not just get punished by Saphrion but by Satan as well. So as told Coal took the soul to hell and no punishment was put against him.

At a school students were leaving and a small group of friends were chatting away. Amongst that small group was a boy with blonde hair and brown eyes was in his own little world.

“Joey are you okay” his best friend Yugi asked him “yeah I’m just a little tied that’s all, well I better head home now”. Joey waved to his friends before heading a different direction and headed home.

Joey was seventeen years old and lived by himself since his father died only ten months ago. Joey had no other family since when he was just a baby his mother disappeared and was never seen again.

Joey’s father had told him just three years ago that his mother had just vanished. His father searched for her but had no luck finding Joey’s mum.

Lately though he had been having strange dreams and was always getting terrible pains in his back every now and then. Joey was not sure what was wrong, he had gone to the doctors but the doc just gave him Panadol for the pain.

It didn’t seem to work the pain didn’t seem to disappear it was really starting to worry Joey. During the middle of the night when Joey was fast asleep something was happening to his back without him even realising it.

By morning when he woke up he saw black feathers on his bed and on some around his bed. Joey had no clue how on earth feathers got on his bed, he decided just to ignore it and headed to the bathroom.

After showering he was wiping himself when he noticed two large scars on his back. Joey defiantly knew that they weren’t their the other day. Something weird was happening to him, Joey put some pants on when he felt the sharpest pain on his back.

“What’s happening this pain it’s unbearable” Joey fell to the ground why clenching his back. “AAAAHHHHHH” Joey screamed when he felt two large things come out of his back.

The pain then just stopped sweat was coming down Joey’s face, he gradually stood up and looked at himself in the mirror.

This time appearing on his back was two large black wings “what the hell” Joey couldn’t get over the shock. Suddenly his bedroom window flew open and a man wearing white and which had long silver hair appeared.

“Who are you” Joey got a bit of a surprise when he saw a man come through his window. Saphrion looked at the boy he had felt a strange presence coming from this apartment and couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

“How is this even possible” Saphrion still just couldn’t believe that this human had black wings. “What’s your name boy” he asked “my name it’s Joey” Saphrion looked at Joey some more before stepping towards the teenager.

Saphrion waved his hand across Joey’s face “so you are half human and half dark angel” Joey look puzzled. “Excuse me what are you talking about” Joey was rather confused not really getting this whole half dark angel stuff.

Of course any one would be confused when they just realised they had two wings on their back. “We will meet again and hopefully by then you would have finally understand your place in this world” with that said Saphrion vanished leaving a single white feather on the floor.

“Don’t tell me he has wings as well” Joey picked the feather up and remembered those last few words Saphrion had told him. Of course what was bothering Joey was that he didn’t even get to ask for the mans name.

Joey didn’t realise at that time that everything around him would change and was it either for the better or worse.
