Okay... so apparently there is no M/M/M three some category... or even a non-gender specific threesome category... apparently threesomes have to have at least one member of the opposite sex here... BULLY I SAY TO THAT! BULLY!

Okay, I'm done! On with the fic!

~

The days were getting tiresome and boring. University in the mornings until the afternoon, then off to Kaiba Corp. until the end of the day. On days he didn’t have classes it was straight to Kaiba Corp. from opening till close. It was long and tedious, and Kaiba Mokuba was getting sick of it! He’d rather be a regular university student hanging out with friends after classes. But of course the Vice President of the prestigious gaming company had no time for friends!

Honestly, sometimes he wanted to kick his big brother right in the balls for being such an uptight prick, and even worse! For expecting him to become one as well. Mokuba was smart! He knew he was smart! Maybe he wasn’t an overworking genius like his brother, but he was top of his class by a landslide! He wanted to enjoy the little freedom he still had while he still could.

But of course Seto had to get him every time with his responsibilities talk. Stupid, smart idiot! Oh well, he supposed in the end he couldn’t complain much about it. At eighteen years old, his future had been secured for years. He got the latest in video games thanks to his brother’s connections, not to mention that he had his pick of whoever he wanted thanks to his high status, though he was too smart to pursue a real relationship with any of those vultures! There were others far worse off than he was. That’s what he always told himself each time he felt like ranting… out loud.

He had to stop thinking about it now or the day would really go down the tubes before he even got to the office. As it was he still had time to get a quick lunch before having to be in, and really, what did he care if he was late? What were they going to do, fire him? He knew it was ungrateful, but he didn’t really care. This job had stolen all his years of childhood freedom. He looked down both sides of the street for restaurant that caught his attention, scrunching his nose in distaste at most of the ones he saw.

It wasn’t that they had bad food, in fact it was some of the best food the city had to offer, but it was just that he was tired of eating in the same places day in and day out, and he was tired of all the rich, expensive food. All the places here were the same, designed and built to serve to the needs of all the rich businessmen who that they were too good for burger and fries, this part of the city was chock-full of those men.

He sighed, about to give up and just grab something from the employee cafeteria, but something caught his eyes and he stopped. He did a double take and looked back to a small, almost easily missed café between a French cuisine restaurant and a five star Italian restaurant. That had to be new… He was sure of it, that space had just been an empty store a few weeks ago. All Mokuba knew was that he instantly liked the place because of its name. ‘Scape Goat Café’ with a picture of the fluffy Duel Monster’s Scape Goat under the arched lettering nestled in a teacup. It was… adorable, worth a visit.

The teenager quickly crossed the street from Kaiba Corp, then down to the end of the block. Oh good! It was already open! He let himself in, smiling softly at the little jingle of the bell. It was a very vast difference from the restaurants on either side of the café. The little store seemed to be empty of customers, which was a shame because it was a quaint little place, sheer curtained windows which didn’t block out the sun, but at the same time kept the light from being blinding and tinted the light steaming in to a soft pale blue color, intimate little booths and circle tables with cushioned, squash chairs, a deli bar and a dessert display case filled with the most appetizing baked sweets that the younger Kaiba had ever seen.

He looked around, not even a single waiter around. He frowned, that was how odd… “Hello?” He called out. It would be bad if the café was abandoned from waiting staff as well as customers, even if this was one of the best parts of the city. What was stopping anyone from simply coming in and cleaning them out?

“Sorry, sorry! I’ll be there in a second! Please take a seat wherever you’d like!” So the place wasn’t completely abandoned.

Mokuba made a sound of amusement but made himself at home at a table close to the dessert display case, knowing that he’d defiantly be getting one of those after he had eaten. He spotted a single page menu standing against the napkin dispenser and picked it up, smiling in amusment at the water color renditions of chibi duel monsters. It’s a good thing Seto wasn’t here or he’d probably make a rude remark about toon monsters.

The foods were all simple, sandwiches, soups, salads, but they all looked filling and the sides looked good as well. Mokuba was completely immersed in deciding on deciding on what combination appetizer, dish and side course he would want… not to mention the dessert!

“Welcome to Scape Goat Café. I’ll be your server this afternoon, what can I get for you?”

Mokuba looked up from the menu when he heard a slightly family voice, eyes bugging out when he saw the familiar golden hair, skin, and eyes that could only be one person. “Jou?!” It just had to be the blond duelist! There was no one else around that even remotely resembled him. But… he hadn’t seen Jou in about… well he barely saw Jou at all after the whole millennium item fiasco was over and done with and Yami had returned to his time, but he stopped seeing him altogether when his brother had graduated from highschool.

Whatever had happened to the blond after that, time had been good to him. He looked as youthful as he had back then, and there was a happy, glowing look about him. His hair was just a bit longer in the back, tied in a small ponytail at the nape of his neck. And he looked amazing in the waiter’s uniform, crisp white shirt, black slack and a red vest with a golden lining that only accented his eyes and hair. Jou looked as good as ever.

The blond just stared at him for a long time, then recognition dawned in those eyes. “Holy shit! Mokuba?! Is that really you?!”

Mokuba laughed, pushing the fringe of purposely messy bangs out of his face. “Yeah! Of course! Who else do you know who looks this good?”

Jou laughed, “Oh wow! But I guess I shouldn’t be all that surprised considerin’ where the café is! Holy cow, you’ve grown, Mokie! Ya look great!” He looked like his brother. There were obvious differences, of course, but the facial structure, that defined nose, cheekbones, regal jaw, and those eyes… They were all Kaiba… But Mokuba’s eyes didn’t have the coldness he could remember in a certain brunette, wider, the blue just a bit truer. And that long touseled black hair really looked cute on the boy even after all these years.

“Well I would hope I’ve grown! It’s been five years! I can’t believe you’re here, Jou! It’s been five years! You… work in this café..?” Had his brother been right and Jou had not been able to make a real success of himself.

“It has, hasn’t it? Wow, time really flies. But yeah, I work here. I own this place with Shizuka!”

Mokuba looked even more surprised. “You own this place?” Well that was far more impressive, despite how small the place was. All places started small after all.

“Yeah, this is actually the second one we’ve opened. But the one back in Okinawa was doing so well we finally got enough to open one back here in Domino.”

“… Second…? So then… this is a franchise? Jou, that’s great!”

The blond rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. “Yeah, I guess you can say it is. We’ve worked really hard to get this far! Even got permission from that crazy kook, Pegasus to use the Scape Goat as our mascot, even though he technically didn’t create the game. He told me to stop being silly and just use it. He was actually pretty nice about it.”

Mokuba couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re really doing great for yourself, Jou! That’s amazing! But why were you in Okinawa?”

“Oh that…” the blond waved it off, taking a seat across from the teen since it appeared they were going to be catching up for a while. “Well that’s where Shizuka lived and all. I went to a culinary school there, but I wasn’t too keen on all the fancy dishes too often, prefer the home cooked stuff, ya know? So I took the last of the money from the Duelist Kingdom winnings and opened up the first shop. Shizuka helped me make’em look all cute and comfy, and of course we both cooked and managed and stuff. I think in another few years I’ll have the money to pay Yug back for the loan of the prize money back.”

Mokuba snorted softly. “I doubt he’d take it back. What happened to Yugi anyways? To all the other guys? I haven’t seen any of you guys since… well since…”

Jou sighed heavily, “Yeah… I know… I’m sorry Mokie. I guess we all just went our separate ways… Well most of us did. Yug stayed with me for a while, too bummed to do much after the pharaoh was gone. He helped in the café once it got up and running. He seemed to be doin’ better. Then all of a sudden one day he decides to go on some crazy expedition! I get a letter from him about every week. He’s in Egypt right now. I told him ‘bout my new shop, he said he might come down for a visit soon enough. He’s bein’ all mysterious. I’m worried a little about him, but really I’m just glad ta see he has drive back in his life.”

“Egypt, huh? Somehow that doesn’t surprise me. But I wonder why he wanted to go there so suddenly.” Mokuba would have thought that the land of the pharaohs would have been too painful of a place for Yugi to ever return to.

“Beats me,” Jou sighed, wondering the same thing. “Last letter I got he had found Malik and Ryou would be joining them soon.”

“Ryou and Malik, too? Do you think that… they’re going to have some sort of memorial service?”

“Your guess is as good as mine, Mokie.” Jou shrugged.

“What about the others?”

“The others? Hmm… well last I heard, Anzu was still in America. I heard that he joined a this fancy ballet group after she graduated from her dance school. Honda…” The blond snorted softly. “Is still with Otogi. The two idiots are always forgetting about the rest of the world. Honda will talk about a place that he things would be interesting to visit with his lover someday, and then the next day Otogi has the whole trip planned for them. At first I thought Honda was doing it on purpose, but I realized it was the two of them just gettin’ lost in their blissful little world of happiness. I’m happy for ‘em, to last this long and still be goin’ strong, but it irks me that they forget about the rest of us.” The blond crossed his arms over his chest in a pout.

Mokuba laughed loudly, “That sounds like them!”

Jou smiled softly, “Yeah… it is just like ‘em… So what about you, Mokie? What you been up to these last five years? And that brother of yours? How’s he been?”

Mokuba smiled sheepishly, a bit forcibly. “Oh you know… the usual, school and work. Work and school, Seto is working nearly 24/7 and if I don’t go in there and pull him out once in a while who knows when he’d sleep or eat, or even bathe!”

It was Jou’s turn to laugh loudly, “Sounds like the same ol’ money bags to me!”

Mokuba chuckled as well. “He really hasn’t changed at all. I really worry about him, Jou. I was sad when all you guys left because you were the only… distractions that Seto had. Now he’s all work, work, work and I’m so worried that he’ll break down any second.”

Jou’s expression sobered. “Well crap. Hmm… Tell ya what! Now that I’m back I’ll be your brother’s distraction again! In fact! Dinner and games tonight!”

Mokuba smirked a little, having gotten the desired reaction. He knew that years ago his brother had the start of a crush on the blond. To have him return now could be just what his brother needed. “Games? Aren’t we too old for games, Jou?”

The blond groused playfully, “Nonsense! You’re never too old for games! See what’s happened while I’ve been gone?! You’re becoming as much of a stick in the mud as your brother!”

Mokuba laughed more, sticking his tongue out at him, “Then I guess I could use the distraction, too!”

“You’re darn tootin’ ya can! Dinner and games tonight! It’s mandatory! You tell yer brother that!”

Mokuba saluted, “Yes sir!”

“Good! Now what will ya be having today?!” Jou asked, all enthusiasm, only making Mokuba laugh more, answering back with equal enthusiasm.

“I have no idea! But whatever it’s gonna be I know I want that chocolate on chocolate, with chocolate cake!”

“Yes sir! One ‘Death By Chocolate’ coming right up! And to drink?”

Mokuba grinned impishly, “Hot chocolate, please!”

Jou laughed softly, “One sugar coma special, coming right up!”

Before he knew it the young vice president had spent half the afternoon with Jou just talking about the old times, cursing when he finally realized the passage of time. He had apologized profusely to the older blond for suddenly having to run off, promising to drag his brother out for dinner at around eight. That would actually be an early end of the day for is brother, but he thought he could really use it.

“See ya then, Mokie! Have fun being the big scary boss man!”

“Screw you, too Jou!” They both laughed even as the raven-haired teen ran across the street and back towards the tallest building in the city. Kaiba Corp.

Once inside the teen was apologizing non-stop to anyone whose path he happened to cross on his mad sprint up to his brother’s office. The others just waved to the young man in amusement, used to his antics by now. Really, working for Master Mokuba was a lot more fun sometimes than working for his hard-ass of a brother. Not that anyone would say that out loud.

Mokuba was panting for breath by the time he made it to Seto’s office. “S-seto! I..!”

“You’re late,” his older brother finished for him, “Four and half hours late, to be precise. Honestly Mokuba, why did you even decide to show up at all today?”

“Big brother, I’m really sorry, but I…” he was cut off again.

“Save it, Mokuba. I don’t want to hear your excuses. You’re free to go today since you won’t get anything done in about two hours, but tomorrow you’re working past closing.”

“Ah! Seto that isn’t fair! I!” Cut off again.

“Neither is leaving all your work for other to do, Mokuba. Neither is being irresponsible and shirking off work whenever the mood hits you. Is this how you want to represent the company? I worked too long and too hard to just have the tabloids have a field day on my little brother’s antics.”

“Antics..?! ANTICS?! What the hell, Seto?! What antics am I pulling?! I don’t go out partying, I don’t have a girlfriend, or even a boyfriend,”

“Boyfriend?!”

It was Mokuba who cut him off this time, “I don’t have anyone who could potentially muddy your pristine name through me! I go to school then I come here every single day! So if sometimes I want to go out be the teen that I am, why is that such a crime?!”

“All of that is a waste of time. You don’t need it. I never bothered with any of those frivolous things and I turned out just fine.”

“Ra dammit, no you didn’t, Seto! You didn’t at all! You just can see it! I’m proud of you big brother! I proud of how you took everything Gozoburo did and turned it around and made this a respectable business! I’ve never once been ashamed of you in all my life, even when you did things through questionable methods! But I won’t grow up the way you did, brother! I won’t! I’m not as strong as you! I can’t take being alone!”

The brunette was stunned, “Mokuba… I… I’m not alone… I have you…” he tried.

Mokuba just sighed heavily, “You do, Seto… but will it really just be the two of us for the rest of our lives? What if I want to get married and have kids? What if I want to tour the world? What if I have my own dreams? I don’t want you to be alone then.”

The CEO didn’t have an answer to that, his brows furrowing. It never occurred to him that Mokuba would be anywhere besides by his side.

The younger Kaiba sighed heavily. “Seto… I…”

“Just go, Mokuba. We’ll discuss this later.”

Mokuba frowned. “About that, Seto. Today, I ran into…”

“Oh, so you ran into a friend. Well I suppose if you want to spend the day with the that’s fine.”

“Seto, let me finish. He invited me to have dinner with him and…”

The brunette was already buried deep back in his work, “That great, Mokuba. Have a great time.”

“Dammit, Seto! Listen to me! I want you to come with us!”

Cold, blue eyes snapped up to meet deeper azure. “I can’t, I’m too busy. The new game is deadlined for the fall and we’re weeks behind schedule. I don’t have time for whimsy dinner dates.”

“Please come with us, Seto. I really think you could use a break. A break would do you good, give you a fresh new perspective after a nice rest.”

The brunette just shook his head again. “I don’t have time Mokuba. You go and have fun. I’ll see you later tonight. We’ll have a nice long talk about the future, alright?” He looked up long enough to offer his brother a rare, soft smile.

Mokuba sighed heavily, knowing that there would be no getting through to his brother. “Hai, big brother…I’ll see you tonight.” He turned and started out the office.

“Have fun, Mokuba.”

“Hai, hai…” the younger Kaiba waved off his older brother.
