Duelist Kingdom Revisted
---Chapter 1: An Intricate Trap
Seto Kaiba was sitting at his office one day typing up papers and other documents waiting for Mokuba to drop by so he would know that he was okay. It was getting later in the day so Seto was starting to worry.
"Dammit where is he" Seto sighed slightly and was about to reach for his phone to call the car that Mokuba was getting picked up in when his phone rang. Seto paused for a moment and let it ring twice before he picked it up.
"Hello?" he said wondering who it was.
"Why hello Kaiba boy! For a moment there I thought you weren't going to pick up!" the voice that could never be misktaken.
Seto rolled his eyes "What do you want Pegasus?"
"Oh Kaiba boy how rude! We haven't talked to each other in such a long time why not be a bit more friendly?"
"The day I'm friendly with you Pegasus is the day I start watching cartoons, now what do you want I'm expecting a call."
"Oh yes! Let me guess you're waiting for little Mokuba to call you, am I right?"
Seto paused for a moment and glared even though he couldn't see Pegasus "Yes how did you know that."
"Well because he happens to be sitting right next to me as we speak." Pegasus smiled on the other end of the reciever.
A look of shock suddenly went across Setos face as he was speechless for a second.
"Oh I'm sorry Kaiba boy did I startle you with that last little bit of news? Don't worry your little brother is fine . . . for the time being that is."
"Let me talk to my brother now." Seto said as calmly as he could but with that ever commanding voice of his.
"Oh so demanding! Alright I guess it couldn't hurt here he is" Pegasus passed the phone to Mokuba "Your brother wants a word with you" he smirked.
Mokuba quickly grabbed the phone and put it to his ear "Seto!?"
"Mokuba! Are you alright?!" Seto shouted slightly and hastily into the phone.
"Yeah I'm fine but I'm scared Seto" Mokuba sniffed slightly since he'd been crying silently.
"Don't worry Mokuba I'm gonna come get you, are you at Duelist Kingdom?"
Before Mokuba could reply back Pegasus snatched the phone back "Trying to find out a bit too much eh Kaiba boy?"
"Pegasus where the hell are you, give me back my brother!" Seto yelled losing his patience with him now just wanting to get his little brother back.
"Temper temper Kaiba boy keep that up and little Mokuba might not be as healthy as he is right now if you catch my drift."
Seto growled slightly into the phone but didn't say anything.
"Thats better Kaiba boy, now as you guessed we are infact at Duelist Kingdom but there are some rules you must follow to get your little brother back."
"And they are?" Seto growled more as he said this.
"One, come alone, none of your employees, anything of the sort. Two, bring your deck, you won't be needing your duel disk. Three, go see Yugi and tell him whats going on and to get a ride to Duelist Kingdom. Four, tell him to have his friends Joey, Tristan, and Tea' join him, they are not aloud to get a ride with you Kaiba. Five, when you tell Yugi, do so in person not over the phone." Pegasus said then taking a sip out of his wine glass.
"Why do you want Yugi and his annoying friends there?" Seto questioned.
"Oh I simply want them to see you more humiliated then usual Kaiba boy, but if you don't want to agree to these I guess Mokuba could stand a little pain couldn't you Mokuba?" Pegasus turned to Mokuba saying this last bit, making Mokuba whimper a bit in fear.
"Don't you touch him I'll do whatever you want!" Seto once again yelled into the phone.
"Splendid! Tell them to get here at 2PM sharp tomorrow or else Kaiba boy. See you soon!" Pegasus then hung up the phone and began laughing quite evily and Mokuba then started crying again.
Seto hung up his phone gritting his teeth.
'Goddamit how could this have happened!? I'll have to get ahold of the driver in order to get to Yugi's anyway so I'll ask him on the phone when I call him. I also have to worry about how to get Mokuba back and how I'm going to convince Yugi to go to Duelist Kingdom tomorrow at 2 . . .'
He then broke his train of thought and called up his driver who picked up after a few rings.
"Hello Mr. Kaiba" the driver answered.
"What the hell is going on!? Why didn't you pick up Mokuba after school!?" Seto yelled causing the driver to jump in his seat.
"Mr. Kaiba I've been waiting infront of Mokuba's school since 5 minutes before the final bell rang, he hasn't come out." He said calmly not wanting to anger his boss further.
'Goddamit they must've gotten him before school got out . . .'
"Come pick me up now we're going to Yugi Motto's house"
"Yes sir" the driver didn't ask any questions just started back to Kaiba corp.
Seto got up and grabbed his long white coat that'd been hanging on a coat rack by his door and then locked his door behind him and started heading for the safes in the Kaiba corp basement. He got in the elevator and pressed the B5 floor button. The fifth basement had the most secure vaults in it and held many of Kaiba Corps secrets and things that Seto found very precious. The door dinged and Seto started walking down the intricate pathways. He continued to do this for about 5 minutes before coming to a large vault. He entered a code, put his thumb on a pad for ID, and when asked for his name he said "Seto Kaiba" and was granted access. The vault opened revealing a suitcase. He walked over to it and opened it and looked inside to see his dueling deck neatly stacked in the case surrounded by red velvet. He closed the case, grabbed it and proceeded back the way he came, up the elevator, and out the Kaiba corp doors to find his driver waiting for him. He got in the car and once he was settled he spoke.
"To Yugi Motto's house" he reminded his driver.
"Yes sir" the driver said as they started off towards Yugi's house, Seto deep in thought.
