Disclaimer: I do not own Yugioh or it’s characters, I only attempt to borrow them to put to my own plot of mischief.
Kiyoko: Amheke are you sure this is how it should happen?
Amheke: Why not, everyone is just a little jumpy at the new plot.
Kiyoko: This is all her fault don’t blame me.
Amheke: Shut up, it’s just as much your fault that I’m so messed up in the head.
Kiyoko: … so?
Amheke: umm, on with the show.

Jou glanced to the back of the room as he sauntered into the room seconds before the last bell. He sat next to Yugi and grinned at the tri-haired boy. The smaller boy could see the fresh bruises evident on his friends face. He sighed and tried to pay attention to the teacher lecturing about ancient Egypt. Jou sighed inwardly, ‘at least Kaiba isn’t here to make a fool of me today.’
“Jounouchi Katsura, do you expect to pay attention at all today?” The teacher screeched from her desk.
“I’m sorry Sensei, it’s just a bit hard to listen to this dull lecture when I’ve already been informed by an acquaintance…” Jou stole a quick look at Yami.
“Well you can just study some more tonight during detention!”
“But Sensei, I can’t be late tonight!!! My job…”
“That’s not my problem, pay attention.”
‘This isn’t good, not good at all, if I’m late for work again my pay will be docked and I won’t be able to buy food. Not to mention the rent and electric bills are coming up shortly. I’m going to have to work all week to make enough money, so much for sleep…’ Jou reasoned mentally.
/Yugi, something is really wrong with Jou! He’s been working himself raw and he won’t even tell us where he works, not to mention the bruises he’s sporting./
//I know Yami, but what can we do, we’ve tried following him, even Bakura can’t keep track of him! I don’t like what’s happening any more than you do but we’re just too powerless against it.//
/We’re going to need to get the rest of the gang in on this, we need to know what’s happening with our friend, we’ll discuss it as soon as we get a chance./
//Alright, that sounds reasonable.//
At that moment Seto Kaiba came strolling in disturbing the lesson once again. He threw the note he carried at the sputtering teacher and took his seat in the back corner. His icy glare facing anyone that looked his way. A deep growl turned the class back to the lesson on Egypt. The brunet threw a gaze around the class seeing all was in order ‘the stupid teenage girls doodling love notes, the midget dullest conversing with his other half, the mutt stewing as if his life depended on it, Bakura fondling his knife… Wait the mutt stewing, hmm, maybe today will be a good day after all.’ The bell rang interrupting his train of thought as the masses piled into the hallways.
School was over for the week, being the Friday afternoon it was, Jou could be found at the payphone trying to explain why he’d be tardy to his boss. Yugi had spread the news of a group meeting to all but Jou, he even went so far as to ask the seventh grade Kaiba to make his older brother attend. The scheming midget ran back to the game shop to get everything together they would be needing. As soon as he finished the others showed up, lead by his former Pharaoh lover. Kaiba grumbling in the back of the group about blackmail and painful demise. For some reason Mokuba stuck close to Yami and Bakura.
“Now that we’re all settled in let the meeting come to order.” Ryou announced sitting at the typewriter. “I’ll be acting as the record keeper and Bakura is the court official. Also announcing the honorable,” a small snicker was heard in the background, “Yugi to tell you our plan.”
“Hello, as we’ve all noticed Jou has been acting strange for the past few months, I’m sure we all realize that he’s been working way too hard and he is always exhausted. We’ve all tried to find out about Jou’s mystery job but to no avail. Even Bakura with all the shadow magic in this realm wasn’t able to follow our slippery puppy. Whenever we directly question about Jou’s job he finds some way to get out of it. I propose a mission with all of us positioned at known targets around the city. We know Jou gets there by foot so one of has to be able to track him if we work as a group.”
“I brought supplies for everyone, plus disguises.” Mokuba explained. “First up, night vision glasses and sunglasses, not only with night vision but they can track foot prints or other residue. Two-way newspaper, there’s a screen so you can watch without putting down your paper. Hats with hidden earpieces so you can always stay in contact. Microphone tooth caps, slide it over your back molar and we can hear what you want to tell us by pressing the pocket of your jeans. We also have video camera glasses in case you really must tape what’s happening. These watches can change the pitch of your voice and portray a hologram around your person complete changing one’s appearance. This should be everything you need to track our slippery friend.”
“Thank you Mokuba, now everyone suit up and get to these locations, Jou will be out of detention in about ten minutes, we must move fast!!!” Yugi screamed.
Less than a minute later the entire group was on there way to the assigned targets along the way. Honda jumping into the supplied sports car in case a quick pickup were in order. He was parked a block away from the school waiting for the blond mop to appear out the front door. Glancing at their watches the group help their breath. “Golden pup: operation one has commenced.” Honda announced as the teen exited the building heading across the street. “Headed toward target one, your up King O’ Dice.”
Otogi glanced through the paper a persona of an old man at a coffee shop was shown to the outside world. “Got’im!! He’s walking east on Main towards Caulkins, your up creepy.”
Marik growled, “ Just you wait until I see you again…” Glancing around he caught sight of the unruly blond hair. “Gee what an ass on that boy.”
“Hey!”
“Calm down Malik, I was talking about you.”
“Oh, ok then.”
“We’re on a mission here!! No names morons.”
“Sorry Blue eyes…” the two recited.
“Anyway back to our target he’s turning North on Smith street. That’s going towards Psycho, right?”
“Oh, I’m touched,” Bakura smirked. “There he is, damn that boy’s in a hurry. Wait a minute, he’s cutting an ally, time for pickup pointy. I think that ally will lead towards Catherin street.”
“Got him! He’s running towards another ally, everyone set up, I’ll follow!” Yami yelled. He hit his watch changing from business man to street gangster. He ran swiftly after the golden boy. He reached the ally just in time to see the blond disappear through a door. ‘That’s how he always gets away. It all makes sense now.’ “We’re going through a passage, I believe it’s going to double back towards Ryou.”
“I’ll be ready. The others are repositioning.” The two exited the passage and Ryou caught them quickly. “Resurfaced at the Boulevard, drop back, I’ve got it. Everyone change appearance.” Ryou followed the teen until Jou made a sharp turn down an ally and into another passage. Using a quick hand gesture Yugi took his place dressed as a young child. Ryou climbed into the car that pulled up next to him.
“I’m in a tunnel.” Yugi whispered, “I’ve been seen!”
“Hey, you! What are you doing here?” Jou called.
“Playin’ hide ‘nd seek, mis’er,” Yugi’s nervousness was more than evident as a portrayal of a child.
“You get out of here, you here me?”
“Yes, mis’er! I’m sor’y.”
“It’s alright kid, just get going.”
Not waiting for another chance Yugi ran away as fast as he could. Leaving the tunnel he informed the others and changed his disguise. Putting on a pair of footprint tracing glasses he reentered the tunnel following the others footsteps. Out on the other side Yugi learned that Malik took up the chase on Skitz avenue. Honda picked up the vertically challenged teen and dropped him at the new location.
“I’m not far behind him, we’re in a sleazy part of the ave. He’s turning into a building, this can’t be right!”
“What is it Malik?” Kaiba growled.
“Everyone come to location 3860 Skitz avenue. Oh, and look like adults, middle aged would be perfect.” Malik informed the group.
Shortly the ten middle aged men stood looking up at the ‘Skitz Bar and Strippers’. Looking about the group they pushed open the door and strolled past the bouncer without even a card check. They sat themselves at a large table and ordered drinks from a scantly clad woman. Mokuba was only allowed a Shirley temple. Looking around they were almost convinced that they followed their friend to the wrong location. They agreed to stay for a little while longer before considering any other options.
Meanwhile Jou was in his dressing room removing his school uniform and lining his tanned body with oils when his door opened. Breath hitching his wide eyes relaxed when he saw the two girls run in. Amheke and Kiyoko Crescent were probably his favorite people here. They covered for him and were never in a hurry when he needed someone to talk to or even bandage him up. The Crescent sisters were also dancers and had come to help Jou get ready so he could work the floor and make some tips.
“Joey,” Kiyoko called Jou by his stage name. “You know the boss gets really pissed when your late.”
“How mad is he?” Jou cringed as the short blond helped him apply oil to his back. Amheke was dusting his hair with sparkles.
“Don’t worry we knew you’d be here and we’ve covered your tables and positions.” Kiyoko giggled.
“I love you girls, I swear your like sisters to me!” Jou sighed in relief. The girls waited as he squeezed into a pair of tight leather pants and a red silk collared button-down top. He managed to fix two buttons before the girls pushed him into the filling dancing room. “Here goes nothing.”
The older girl Kiyoko Crescent was quite petite, about 4’9 to be exact, she had strawberry blond hair that framed her face and caramel skin. Her light blue eyes danced with mischief. The tiny blond wore fishnet thigh-highs, garters attached to her panties, barely hidden under the black leather miniskirt. Her white blouse was buttoned barley above her bright pink bra that showed through. The blouse was knotted directly above her bellybutton showing off the sun tattooed about it.
Amheke Crescent, barely eighteen was ‘slightly’ taller about 5’6. She was fair skinned with hazel eyes and auburn hair. Her eyes were surrounded by black outliner showing off the mystery hiding below. Her matching tattoo showed off her bare stomach wearing skintight leather pants and sparkly black halter.
“Do you think it’s time, sister?”
“I believe it may be Amheke, but tread carefully. Let’s go, Joey will be waiting for us.”
