Rain

Since there are idiots out there who don't understand the concept of fanfiction, here's your damn disclaimer: When have I ever said that I own in part or total a franchise that is internationally known to belong to someone else? ::rolls eyes::

Rain

by Sunsinger

The rain kept falling. He wished it would stop, he hates the rain now.
Strange because he used to love it. Love how they would sit together
while it rained outside, warm in each other's company. The hands
touching, fingers twining together, happy. And then… it was raining
when he saw the article.

He stared down at a puddle, a scrap of newspaper being washed into
nothingness. A young man stood at the side of a pretty young lady. His
frozen lips whispering the disappearing words.

Kaiba to be wed

Poor ladies, one of the Kaiba brothers is off the market. You've
waited way too long! It is said that Kaiba and bride are to be married
in one week at the Temple on Shinubo way. The bride is from a
prominent business family in Domino, Ariko…

It was raining on this his brother's wedding day. A day of joy for the
lying bastard. This was it… He pushed in the door. Damn it was hot in
there. He could feel the flush on his face. There… so far down the way
from him, his lying brother.

"Why… how… Seto?" Mokuba raised his arm. It was so heavy and the heat
was bearing down on him but he had to. He aimed. "Why her?"

Seto stared at his brother, eyes full of fear at the shining eyes and
fever roses on his brother's cheeks. "Mokie… Mokie…"

The bride grabbed her groom's arm, holding him back. She shook his
heard. He shrugged at the annoyance, eyes focused on his younger brother.

A shot rang out, the bride's hand fell from Seto's arm. He ran towards
Mokuba, arms out to catch him as he fell.

Mokuba stared at the bride, a dark hole in her red bridal dress, a
dark stain coloring the silk and lace. He smiled as his brother ran to
him. And he closed his eyes.
