A Tale of Sad Woe
Okay I just read ‘Nightmare’ by DarkShadowFlame on FanFiction and I loved the idea of someone stalking Anzu (Tea). So here is my version of someone stalking Anzu. Though it might be a little violent and somewhat graphic but if you don’t like it you can always backtrack. So enjoy.
I own nothing except this story. Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't belong to me!
*********A Tale of Sad Woe****************
Anzu lifted both arms above her head in graceful stretch. With spending long hours at the studio and weird phone calls at her apartment she hadn’t had much sleep. But it was the weekend! Being the middle of spring the party circuit was just starting up. Tristin, Joey and Yu-Gi had begged her to go party with them, along with Serenity, Mai and Duke. But she declined. For the next two days she wouldn’t be thinking of anyone or anything. As soon as she got home, she would clean the tiny apartment, do the laundry, rent the necessary videos for the weekend and then soak in the a tub of hot water till the bathroom turned into a sauna and she steamed off 10 pounds. “See you Monday, Tiffany.” Anzu called out. Waving at the little mousy girl. She shyly waved back with a grateful smile.
“Goodbye Anzu!” Smiling slightly pleased with herself that she made someone else’s day, just a little bit better; she skipped to her dance hall locker.
“Hey Anzu,” Maria called from two lockers over. “What’ca doing over the weekend?”
“Just chill-laxing.” They both giggled over her use of pop culture. Swinging open her locker door, Anzu felt something fall on her. Something wet and clingy. Maria’s whole body went rock still. Her mouth barely able to form words. Her natural olive Italian complexion was now ghostly pale.
“What?” She turned and looked down. There sprawled on the chipped linoleum was a kitten. Or rather pieces of a kitten. Legs and arms cut off and landed in a jumbled mess. Fur was matted with dirt and blood. The kitten’s lifeless eyes stared into Anzu’s as its mouth stood open in a silent scream. And Anzu joined in. The police arrived nearly an hour later. They took a few pictures and statements. They didn’t promise anything. She scoffed. “Your not going to do anything, are you?” The young officer jumped a bit, the frowned as if scolding her for second guessing him. Gathering his team they walked back to their car with the body of the kitten.
Soaking in the tub back at home, Anzu was glad she had made no plans for the weekend. Now she needn’t go outside her tiny apartment for anything. Not even food, having done the shopping the day before. “Why?” The ghost of a whisper barely touched the pruney had she held in front of her face. Time to get out. Her bathroom was about the size of a postage stamp, with most of the space filled with a bathtub. She didn’t regret the tub, she prayed to the bath-tub goddess every night when she had come home with sore muscles from being over worked at the her job, school or dance class. Shivering in the cold air, she wrapped a giant fluffy towel around her. Pinning her brown locks in an informal bun, she padded towards the kitchen. Leafing through the cupboards nothing really appealed to her. The freezer however contained a container of Strawberry and Carmel ripened gelato that she had gotten from this back alley flea market. They only make it for a few months a year and on a haunch Anzu walked by their stall in the flea market. Pleasantly surprised that the owner was just setting up he greeted her with open arms. Knowing that she would always buy something. She eventually made it out with only two-liter containers of Strawberry and Carmel ribbened gelato and one container of chocolate mouse. “Mmmmm.” Letting the gelato thaw in the sink. She grabbed her most comfortable and flannel pajamas and hurriedly dressed before her snack completely thawed. “Awwwwww. This is the life.” Flicking on the TV. Her movie automatically played. She had gotten Tank Girl. A secret that no one knew was that below all her friendship high fives and speeches where she preached peace and kindness she would like nothing better then to kick the ass of anyone who messes with ‘me and mine’ as she liked to call them. Her friends where everything to her. Ever since her parents left for the Caribbean and ‘forgot’ to take her with, they were all she had. No body messed with them. She loved the way Tank Girl kicked anyone’s butt that dared to even look at her strangely. The static woke her. Rising almost without thinking to flick off the TV. Her foot plopped into the mess of melted gelato on the floor. “Ugh! Ewwww!” Hopping into the kitchen, the offending foot was scrubbed under the harsh hot water of the sink. Spinning a trail of paper towels from the dispenser under the cabinets, sopped up the remainder of the syrupy mixture. After tossing the disgusting paper towels into the garbage she made her way to bed. Turning on her heater had left it nice and toasty before she leapt into its comforting embrace. Another secrete Anzu had was that she loved to sleep and stay in her bed. To luxuriate in it was almost up there with dancing. Smiling to herself, she silently drifted off into slumber.
“Hey, Yu-Gi what did you do over the weekend?” Joey called over his shoulder as he hustled Serenity away from Tristins and Duke’s eyes.
“Nothing much. Just went to a party on Saturday. It was quite boring, so Grandpa and I went to a movie.”
“Awww!” Mai sighed. “That’s so sweet.” Joey immediately jumped into action. Pumping up his pecs, deltoids and triceps he posed for Mai, the object of his affection.
“Hey I can be sweet, too.” Meanwhile Duke and Tristin were making googaly eyes at Serenity. Mai laughed loudly behind her hand.
“Come on Anzu where going to be late for home room.” Leading the way. Mai dragged Anzu up two flights of stairs, across five hallways and finally plopping an exhuasted Anzu into her seat.
“Thanks so much, Mai.” Her voice oozed sarcasm.
“Think nothing of it, dear.” Breezing into her seat, Mai adjusted her school uniform and began unpacking her backpack because her next class was in the same room. Anzu hardly heard anything her teachers said over the course of the day. Her mind kept drifting to the dismembered kitten in her locker at the dance hall. Who would do such a sick thing? A sharp poke in the ribs made her sit up at attention. Serenity stood by Mai.
“Come on, Anzu it’s lunch.” Throwing everything into her backpack, she was ushered down the hallway to her own locker to collect her lunch. With her friends egging her on, she had no chance to think what might be in her locker this time. With the lock now undone, Anzu turned to route around for her jar of money for her school lunches. But her hand stopped. There nailed to the shelf was a little bird. Its wings outstretched like some sick crucifixion. It’s little body slightly squished from the closed locker door. A note taped on the inside of the door, was scrawled in a childish handwriting of black crayon. “Why didn’t you like my first present?” A scream lodged in her throat, and then rang through out the halls. “Anzu, what.” Then they saw it. Serenity collapsed to the floor, Mai just catching her. Anzu slammed the door shut.

Yes I know I have to work on clothes and backgrounds. But admit it. You liked it. Anzu will get together with Seto soon; just have to up the scare factor. Thanks for reading!
