Human Story

Heh, Sorry about this everyone~ But I lost the original plot line to the first Human Story, so I am rewriting it. I have a whole new plot line, and this one I will REALLY try to keep updated. I hope you guys like this one better. I was also rereading my first one, and I didn’t like it. But this one will be better. And hopefully as good as Vampire Story.
Human Story
Prologue: It begins again

Ryou sat outside on the swing that had been put in the tree by Bakura. Ryou smiled as he enjoyed the summer breeze that blew past him. It was hard to believe that it had been a little over a year since they had killed Pegasus. Things around here had changed a lot in the past year. Marik and Malik were now a couple, they said they were trying to hide it at first, but they didn’t do a good job of it, for the first month before they officially announced it to every one, Malik could be heard screaming from Marik’s room at one in the morning. Almost every other night. Bakura had said they were ‘screwing like wild bunnies’. Ryou was just happy that Malik was happy, He was sure it wasn’t easy watching out for him and Yugi all the time.
Things were easier on him now that the three former vampires were staying with the hunters. Malik had time to relax now. It was just three weeks ago that Ryou had walked in on Yami and Yugi kissing. They had apparently been a couple for nearly the whole time the three had been here. That surprised Ryou a little, although he wasn’t sure why, Yugi was always better at keeping secrets then Malik was.
Even Seto and Joey were getting along better. Ryou knew there had to be something going on between them now. Seto had stopped insulting Joey so often, although he would still call him puppy every now and then. But the nick name didn’t seem to get Joey as mad as it had before. Ryou sighed as he thought about his friends; they all had someone to be with now. But he and Bakura, they still hadn’t worked out where their feelings stood with each other. Ryou knew that was partly his fault. He KNEW that Bakura loved him, but Ryou was just too scared. He was still recovering mentally from what Pegasus had done to him.
He knew a year was probably too long to still be recovering, but he couldn’t even let Bakura touch him with out remembering what Pegasus had done to him. Ryou was starting to think that Bakura was finding him annoying. Ryou had been able to let Bakura hold him a couple weeks ago, and he wasn’t afraid at all. So he thought he had been ready to let Bakura know how he felt. But that night, his dreams were invaded by nightmares of Pegasus. And it wasn’t just that night, he had had the same dreams ever since. They were mostly similar, but each one different.
His most recent nightmare was Pegasus, and Honda. They were both trapped in a dark place; no light could get in any where. Pegasus had been talking to Ryou, but the boy couldn’t hear a word he was saying. Only able to catch a few words from reading his lips. ‘Coming back’ and ‘be mine’. Ryou shuddered as he remembered the dream. It had been getting worse and worse. He could even feel Pegasus’s hands when he was toughed. And that scared Ryou to no end. Ryou shuddered as he thought about the dreams. He didn’t notice Bakura come up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder. Ryou screamed in surprise and fear. He jumped off the swing turning quickly.
“Hey, hey! It’s just me Ryou…” Bakura said. Ryou blinked and sighed putting a hand on his chest.
“Don’t scare me like that Bakura…” Ryou said sighing a little.
“I didn’t mean to scare you.” Bakura said going to pull Ryou into a hug, but Ryou just pulled away.
“…it’s alright.” He said. Bakura frowned though, it definitely wasn’t ‘alright’. “Did you want something Bakura?” Ryou asked. Bakura blinked and shook his head a little.
“Yami, Yugi, Malik and Marik are going to the movies and then out for dinner. They were wondering if me and you wanted to go.” Bakura asked. Ryou bit his lip thinking about that a little.
“Sure.” Ryou smiled a little. Bakura smiled back as he and Ryou turned heading back inside to get ready. Neither of them noticed the vampire that was sitting in the tree watching them. The vampire’s eyes flashed red and he disappeared.
