In My Heart

The shrill ringing of the bell woke Joey with a start.. His heart pouned as he jammed his books into his bag. The teacher, a young substitue handed him a slip of paper that fell from his desk in the confusion. He took it and raced to his next class.

There he opened it and read the poem inside. It wasnt his handwriting. It was written in a very neat and precise cursive script. Joey's heart stopped as he read the poem.

In my heart, I only saw hate
I saw hatered when I looked at you
Now, I don't know what to think

My heart beats faster
My breath quickens
All this for a dog I hate?
