Zypher Dragon: Well, again I’m starting another story.

Bakura: What story is it now?

Zypher Dragon: *sarcastic* Wouldn’t you like to know.

Bakura: ActualI’m I’m quite curious.

Zypher Dragon: Ok then, since you’re so curious, I’m doing Wolves Night Tale. I normally was writing this for one of the authors on fanfiction.net who had a story that was similar to Wolf's Rain but it got deleted so I though about posting it here for those who haven't seen Wolf's Rain.

Bakura: Ok then I’m gone. *about to leave but was pulled back* What is it now?

Zypher Dragon: You’ret oft of it stupid now get in there. *throws him into the story* Now that he’s in there, here’s who playing who.

Kiba: Yami w/ Aqua

Hige: Joey

Toboe: Ryou w/ Diamond

Tsume: Bakura w/ Crimson

Blue: Crystal

Cheza: Yugi

Zypher Dragon: Yes, there will be yaoi (Yami/Yugi) and hints of yaoi (Bakura/Ryou) and if I can, I might be able to add some other characters to it but I don’t know when.

They say there’s no splacplace as Paradise.

Even if you search to the ends of the Earth, there’s nothing there.

No matter how far you walk, it’s always the same road.

On and on.

But in spite of that, why am I so driving to find it.

*Yami as his wolf form lays in the snow, eyes barely open but closes slowly*

A voice calls to me, it says….search for Paradise….

*A train is moving on a snowy night but a large explosion came up and the train’s defenses were activated and guards on the train went to find the cause of the explosion*

Bakura *driving a small jeep* : Let’s go.

*A few men jumped onto the train and Noah came up but hesitated*

Man: *pushes Noah onto the train* Hurry up! *jumps on and busts the lock and opens the door but was shot*

*A machine droid opened the door and came out and started shooting at the jeep but they swerved away and then it turned to shoot at the men on the roof of the train*

Noah: *watched on and closes his eyes and the sound of metal being cut was heard and he opened one eye and then the other to see Crimson over the destroyed droid* Crimson!

Crimson: *looked down to Noah but didn’t say nothing as he kicked the droid off the train and it exploded, causing the train to stop*

*two more jeeps drive by and the remaining men cheered for their success on the raid and Noah sits in the dep depressed then looks up to see a Noble ship pass overhead*

Man: It’s a Noble ship.

Bakura: I hate that sound.

*The scene switch to a small city where Gozaburo and Crystal as her wolf form walked by Gozaburo tied Crystal’s leash to a fire hydrant and stepped into a bar*

Gozaboroalksalks up to the counter* Vodka. I tell you this lousy city isn’t fit for a dog much less a man. Never thought it be so cold instead of dawn.

Barkeep: Well, I don’t know where you came from mister, but I doubt there be anywhere fit to live these days. *pours his drink and looks to the gun hidden in his trenchcoat*

Gozaburo: Always helps to have a friend when you’re crossing the mountains, never know what you might run into. Like bears. *grabs glass but it was shaking a bit* Or wolves.

Barkeep: Wolves? Now there’s something I haven’t heard about in a long time. Not since my grandpa was alive. He always used to tell me when the world finally comes to an end, Paradise will appear on the Earth. But, the trouble is that only wolves would know where to find it. Who knows, maybe the world is finally coming to a end right now.

Gozaburo: *placed the glass on the counter harshly* Wolves are only servants of death. Don’t you believe all that pacant garbage.

Barkeep: Relax old man, wolves have been extinct for 200 years. It’s just a kid’s fairy tale.

Gozaburo: The thing about fairy tales is…

*The scene switch to Crystal who is outside resting*

Gozaburo: There’s always some truth in them.

*A sound was heard outside and Crystal looked up slightly to some of the men from the raid walking past and then raised her head fully when she spotted Bakura and started barking when he looked at her*

Gozaburo: *looks to the door and grabs the gun as he ran outside* What! What is it? *starts running out the alley* Did you see one? *looks around and then looks to the ground, seeing traces of wolf prints in the ground with some foot prints*

Bak *ru *running through the street with Crimson, the others trailing behind him*

Chen: Hey Bakura, Crimson. *Bakura and Crimson stopped and turned to him* Where’s the fire? Can’t we slow down a little, there’s nobody following us.

Bakura: I know.

Zetto: Haven’t we got enough already? I mean, there’s plenty to go around.

Crimson: The provisions for the Nobles are going to be passing through the checkpoint tomorrow.

*the other men gasped*

Noah: We’re going to hit them again?

Bakura: *glance to them* Chen, Zetto, you’re in the advance squad.

Chen: *looks to Zetto* Why doesn’t that surprise me?

Noah: Yeah, but, we messed it up bad there last week. Security is going to be even tighter now. *he looked down* We lost two of us today as it is.

Bakura: Noah, you’re on standby. Anyone who isn’t willing to fight should get out now. *He started walking away from them with Crimson behind him as the three looked to them*

*The rest of the men were gathered by a tree, two of them looking inside the gap and whispering to each other as Bakura and Crimson walked up*

Bakura: What is it?

Man: It’s a dog, but I don’t think it’s going to make it.

*Bakura’s eyes widened slightly as the screen showed Yami lying on the ground, a cut wound on his hind leg*

Man2: Maybe it’s worth something.

Man3: Maybe we can eat it.

Man4: I never seen a dog this big. This sucker’s huge.

Crimson: That is not a dog. Pull it out.

*Man and Man2 looked to him then to Yami*

Man: Ok.

*he went to pull him out but Yami’s eyes snapped open and he jumped out, biting the man on the junction between his neck and shoulder and then dodged the arrow being shot at him and lunged for the other man, biting down on his neck and everyone looked shocked to see the wolf presumed dog awake and the Yami turned to look at Noah and growled, blood dripping from his bared teeth*

Noah: *stood still as he watched the wolf but was punched out the way by Bakura*

Bakura: How interesting.

*Yami sneered at him and started to chase after Bakura and Crimson when they ran up to the roof of a nearby building and Noah looked on before following them*

Bakura: That was quite a stunt.

Yami: /I was protecting myself, that’s all./

Bakura: Don’t be so quick to kill.

Yami: /What’s wrong with killing?/

Crimson: I don’t know what mountain you came down from, but you’re in the city now. There are rules.

Yami: /Rules? Is running around this city with a pack of idiots one of the rules?/

Bakura: We’re only using them.

Yami: /You’re rules stink like this city. What the point of living if it means throwing away your pride?/

Crimson: You got a big mouth for someone who is half dead.

*Yami growled once more and lunged for Bakura and Crimson who was also in their wolf forms, some blood being spilled onto the ground and the scene switch to Yugi who was in some sort of spherical containment and his eyes were opened slightly and the two scientists examining him gasped to see him awaken and the female scientist left the room and the screen switched back to the fight between Bakura, Crimson and Yami*

Noah: *Running up the stairs and looked outside to see Bakura and Crimson fighting and ran over to them, swinging his weapon at Yami*

*Yami jumped back, limping slightly and glanced at Bakura and Crimson once more before running off*

Noah: *Turns to look at Bakura and Crimson* Are you ok, Bakura and Crimson? *Looks to the wound* Hey, you’re bleeding.

Bakura: *Sneers* Don’t touch me! *Noah backs up as he and Crimson got up from the ground* And stay out of our business.

Noah: *Looks down as Bakura and Crimson started walking away* I wanted to thank you. You saved my life back there. I always thought maybe you didn’t care if one of your friends got killed. I guess, I thought maybe I never be one of your friends.

Crimson: We are not friends.

Noah: Huh?

Bakura: It just…we’re not like you people. *He and Crimson started walking away again, leaving Noah alone*

*The scene switched back te lae lab where Kinoya and two other scientists were looking at Yugi*

Kinoya: I never seen this expression on his face before. Has the solution been altered?

Male scientist: No, it’s the same as always.

Female scientist: Do you think he’s awakened?

Kinoya: According to the data we found, the first thing Yugi showed a response to was blood, wasn’t it?

Female scientist: Wolf’s blood. You mean…

Kinoya: Yes, the smell of wolf’s blood.

Male scientist: But, what evidence is there that…

Kinoya: None. Many things exist that can’t be explained by scientific proof simply due to a lack of evidence. Yugi himself is the crowning achievement of an alchemy that cannot be proved. The flower prince and the wolves are being drawn to one another, like a ancient scholar’s fairy tale.

*The scene then shows Yami by a fountain, taking a drink and then he started walking away, a limp in his walk. The sound of a gun being cocked caught his attention and he turned to see Gozaburo and he growled. Crystal started running to him as Gozaburo aimed for Yami and he shot just as Crystal jumped into the air and the sound of sirens were heard as the screen went black*

Raxades: *looking at Gozaburo’s badge* Gozaburo Kaiba. So tell me, what brings the sheriff of Domino to our humble city? That’s some heavy artillery you got there, but I doubt you came all this way for the hunting.

Gozaburo: What did you do with it? Where’s the animal I put down?

Raxades: Dead apparently. The carcass will be disposed of here.

Gozaburo: *bangs fist on the table* That’s impossible! There’s not a chance in hell that thing is dead. I have ee iee it with my own eyes. Don’t you get it? It’s a wolf!

Raxades: You think it’s a wolf?

Gozaburo: It may look like a dog but it’s not, it’s a wolf! You don’t honestly believe that we wiped those things from the face of the planet do you, detective?

Raxades: The last appearance of a wolf was over 200 years ago, just how do you proposed they survived all this time? The mountains and forests have been stripped bare. There’s nowhere on Earth they could live or hide.

Gozaburo: *he got up from his seat in anger* They’re all around us! They just put us all under some kind of spell. These wolves exist and we have to destroy them all.

*In another room, Yami lied in a cage, eyes closed and blood around him from the bullet wound and somewhere in the room there was another wolf that couldn’t be seen. Back in the lab, the scientists were still examining the awakened flower prince and back at the center, another wolf stood in front of Yami’s cage, looking down to him as Gozaburo was leaving from the center and Crystal turned to look back. In another part of the city, Bakura, Crimson and their crew were heading for the next checkpoint to raid the Noble’s provisions.*

*Back in the center, Kinoya and Raxades were walking down a hallway*

Raxades: I figured this sort of thing would be under your jurisdiction.

Kinoya: So it’s alive?

Raxades: Just barely. But it’s only a matter of time…

Kinoya: That sounds like the two of us.

Raxades: We’re not over yet. All we have to do is keep trying.

Kinoya: I’m not so sure.

*They walk into the room Yami and the other wolf was held in and spotted Joey near Yami’s cage*

Raxades: Hey! What are you doing? What department are you with?

Joey: *he looked back to them* Oh, um, sorry. I was looking for cleaning supplies. I guess I must have got lost.

Raxades: The cleaning crew huh? *He pointed to the right* Just go out that door, supplies are on the right.

Joey: Are they? Thanks. *He waved to them as he left out the room*

Raxades: So, do you really think it’s a wolf?

Kinoya: *She looked to Yami* I don’t know, I never seen a real one before. But if it is a wolf, it may be what causing the sudden reaction in Yugi.

Raxades: Oh please, not Yugi again.

Kinoya: What’s that mean?

Raxades: It’s because of him you and I broke up.

Kinoya: Stop acting like an idiot Raxades and bring it up to the lab.

Raxades: I’ll have someone to do it later. *he placed a hand to his chin* Dogs and I don’t get along ahat hat well. I’m kinda allergic to them.

Kinoya: *sighs* This is the reason you and I would never work.

Raxades: *scratches the back of his neck* I don’t know, maybe it is just a matter of time.

*the scene switched to the checkpoint where people were unloading Noble’s provisions, guards standing by for any signs of raiders. Bakura looked around and then gave a signal to another group with Crimson on the other side and then he turned to look at Noah who just came*

Noah: I’m coming with you guys. I wanna fight.

*Bakura just stared at him, not believing him*

Noah: *smiles softly* I can help you. Just tell me what to do.

*Bakura still stared at him but considered on letting him come*

*Back at the center, the scene switched back to Yami and Joey walked back into the room and kneeled down by Yami’s cage*

Joey: Man, you really screwed up. I mean I seen one of us get caught but never this badly.

Yami: *opens his eyes and looks to Joey* /I can get out of here whenever I feel like it./

Joey: Uh huh, so then why are you in there?

Yami: /I just needed a place to rest for a while. That’s all./

Joey: *laughs lightly* I’m Joey. It’s nice to meet ya.

Yami: /So why are you in here anyway?/

Joey: No reason. It smelled like something interesting was going to happen ya know, so I followed my nose. Besides, I got nowhere else to go.

Yami: /That’s not your true form. Why do you hide yourself?/

Joey: So I don’t end up where you are. These people are terrified of us. So, ya know if we look like them, they pretty much leave us alone.

Yami: /You’re living a lie, just so you can die a miserable death in this city?/

Joey: Gotta do what you can to survive, right? Keep looking like that and you’ll be back here in no time. Thrawsraws too much attention.

Yami: *he got up, growling slightly* /Have you given up your pride as a wolf?/

Joey: Hm. You’re a strange one all right. But having p doe doesn’t count for much if you’re dead, ya know.

*Yami just looked up to him and then sirens went off and the scene switched to the checkpoint where Bakura, Crimson and Noah were running across some pipes, some of the Noble’s provisions in hand and guards shot at them. Back at the center, Yami grabbed at bar bars of his cage with his mouth started using his strength to bend the bars so he could get out as Joey watched him, still not noticing the other wolf in the room doing the same until they heard the bars break from where he was. Back at the checkpoint, Bakura, Crimson and Noah were continuing to run but Noah almost lost his balance but regained it as he followed Bakura and Cri. Th. The scene switched back to the center and guards were running around and three shadows of wolves showed on the wall but Yami, Joey and the mysterious wolf that they just met up with were coming by silently and the guards let them through with no problem and again the scene switched back to the checkpoint where a bullet grazed the pipe, causing Noah to lose his balance and he grabbed onto a smaller pipe, losing the provisions and the pipe started to crack*

Noah: *he looked down and swallowed as he looked back up* Bakura! Crimson!

*Crimson looked back and saw that Noah wasn’t following behind him and started running back, losing his own provisions and grabbed Noah’s shoulder but he was in his wolf form and caused Noah to scream, causing him to lose his grip and Crimson can only watch as Noah fell to his death. The scene once more switch back to the center where Yami, Joey and the other wolf were walking out of the center and Raxades watched them before he started scratching at his neck and one of the guards ran out and up to them*

Guard: Sir! That big dog, it disappeared and so did the other that was found!

Raxades: What! *he ran back in, Kinoya following behind him as the three wolves were walking down the steps*

*In the lab, Yugi still had his eyes opened slightly and the scene switched over to Gozaburo who was in a room, looking through an old album and Crystal looking out the window then the scene came to Bakura and Crimson who was eating some of the provisions that the crew got during the raid, distant away from everything that happen and then the scene went back to the room where Yami and the other wolf was held*

Raxades: It’s gone.

Guard: Do you think someone stole them?

Kinoya: Could be. Or maybe they escaped on their own.

*The scene switched back to the city where Yami, Joey and the other wolf were on the roof of a building*

Joey: Your wounds, have they healed?

Yami: Yeah, after all, it’s a full moon tonight.

Joey: So why did you come to this crummy town anyway?

Yami: I smelled something. The scent of Lunar flower. It’s here in this city.

Joey: *he lied back on a wall, his eyes closed* Yeah, I know. My nose could smell a dog taking a dump 10 kilometer away.

Yami: *laying back on the roof* Yeah, that must really stink.

Joey: *grinning slightly* Sure does. *turns and see Yami smiling at him and smiled back*

Yami: So why did you two escape with me?

Joey: I don’t know, I just felt like it, I guess, but as for him, *he pointed to the other wolf sitting on the edge of the roof* I really don’t know, I never saw him in the room until recently. Besides, you seem kinda interesting. So what’s next, where you heading?

Yami: To Paradise. There isn’t any moonlight in this place.

Joey: Paradise huh, that sounds like fun.

Yami: My name is Yami.

*the other wolf turned to them and smiled softly*

Aqua: And I’m Aqua…

*the screen moved up to look at the moon and the screen went black once more*

Zypher Dragon: Whew, that took a long time. Well here’s the first chapter and I’m going to start on the next chapter soon.

Yugi: Zypher, you’re forgetting something.

Zypher Dragon: Oh yeah, in this story, Joey and Jounouchi are two different people, I repeat, two different people. Wondering why, you’ll seen once I get the second chapter up that tell how my original characters look for this story. But for now, I need to rest my paws so please read and review.
