The Viking Brothers

Disclaimer:

I don’t own Yugioh, I just borrow the characters and make them my puppets! MUWAHAHH!
-_- Okay, never mind

By the way, this is an AU (alternate universe) fanfic. Ever since I was little, I always enjoyed learning about the barbarians in ancient history, like the Vikings, Goths, Huns, etc. Not all the things I type will be accurate, so bare with me. But, you’re not here to read about me! ^_^ you’re here to read about the Yugioh characters running around with swords and axes and screwing each other! ^_~

**One little thing though. There will be violence, blood, gore, rape, etc. If you have a weak stomach, or just don’t like reading things like that, I’ll tell you when they’re coming and when they end. There will be comic relief, so don’t fear to much. Other than that, READ ON!!! ^^v

R&R ME!! I’ll feel loved #^_^# For I’m single and won’t have a boyfriend for Valentine’s Day!

Pairings: Yami/Yugi, Marik/Malik, Bakura/Ryou, Seto/Joey

The Viking Brothers

Chapter One: The Raid

Outside a small peasant village in the downsEnglEngland, a beautiful field of wild flowers blanketed the ground. Butlieslies nursed the nectar from flowers and a small brook flowed through the field, home to small frogs and dragonflies. It was such a beautiful place.

In the middle of the field, three young men were lounging on a bed of dandelions. The three come to the field so often that the animals think nothing of them. To the young men, the field was a safe and haplacplace where they could escape the hardships of peasant life. They weren’t brothers, but childhood friends, and spent all their days together. Their parents had died long ago from an outlaw ambush on their journey through the forests. They live together in a small, but somewhat humble hut.

“Did you guys hear about the Viking raid?” Yugi, a boy with violet eyes and oddly colored hair asked his two friends.

“Another one already?” Said Malik, a boy with white blonde hair and violet eyes. “They just attacked a church not to long ago.”

“What can you expect? They’re barbarians!” Said Ryou, a boy with white hair and green eyes. “I wake up everyday wondering who those ruffians will plunder next.” Yugi gasped.

“I hope they won’t come to our village!” Malik scoffed.

“Don’t worry Yugi. Our village is safely hidden among the circle of trees. We shouldn’t have to worry about those Vikings finding us.”

“I hope you’re right, Malik. Those Vikings will stop at nothing and spare no one when they attack!” And Yugi was right.

The village lay in ruins. Bodies littered the ground as the last remaining huts fell. All goods and livestock were picked clean from the village and into the greedy hands of the Vikings. The Viking warriors gathered around the center of the village, resting themselves from their previous raid. They talked and joked amongst themselves while examining the goods they received.

One Viking sat on his horse quite a distance away from the others. He was the leader of this particular Viking tribe. He didn’t involve himself much in small raids like this one, but participated more in battles against the English. Yami was one of three half brothers, same father, different mothers. Since he was the first born, Yami got the rights to be the sole leader of theikiniking tribe, while his brothers were second in command. And speaking of his brothers, they were riding up to him right now.

“It’s your fault!”

“No, it’s your fault!”

“No, it’s your fault!”

Yami cringed when he heard the petty squabble of his brothers coming closer. He sighed and turned around to face them, frowning. They both stopped in their arguing. After Yami, his hbrotbrother Marik was next, followed by Bakura who was the youngest. Marik and Bakura were constantly fighting with each other over everything, and it drove Yami nuts. They were great comrades in arms, but brutal enemies in brotherhood.

“What do you have to report?” Yami asked, trying to soothe his temper. Bakura spoke first.

“We’ve successfully burnt and raided the entire village without the lose of a single man. As of now, some cows, sheep, chickens, and geese. They will do nicely for our collection.” Yami nodded and asked

“Anything else of importance besides livestock?” Bakura opened his mouth to speak, but Marik beat him to it.

“Not much, Yami. Just some trading goods and animal skins.” Yami sighed and rolled his eyes.

“If there wasn’t that much here to begin with, then why did you slaughter everyone and burn everything?” Marik and Bakura both grinned stupidly, making Yami fume with anger. “How many times do I have to say it!? Don’t waste your energy and weapons on killing people that are useless to us! Sometimes I think you do it just to kill!” Bakura snickered evilly.

“I can’t help it if Blooddrinker is thirsty.” He held up his blood stained sword to prove his words. Yami sweatdropped.

“Alright, just go back down and scope out the village some more. Maybe there were a few things you missed. Plus, it will give you something do with your time.” Marik grinned and quickly turned his horse, riding through the tall grass.

“Last one there’s an Englishmen!” Bakura growled and quickly took off after his brother.

“That’s not fair! You got a head start!”

Yugi, Ryou, and Malik were walking back from the field, quite happy and content. Ryou was carrying a basket of blackberries and Yugi was holding a bouquet of wild flowers. Malik just wore a flower crown that Yugi made him. They took their time walking, not being in a rush to get back home to do chores.

“Mm. These blackberries are ripe with flavor!” Ryou said happily. “We’ll be able to eat decently tonight, my friends.” Malik reached into the basket and took a few berries, tossing them into his mouth. Ryou suddenly stopped, dropping the whole basket of berries.

“Ryou? What’s wrong with-“ They freeze in both shock and fear, as they look over their village, now burned to the ground aodieodies littered everywhere.

Yugi ran to Malik, hiding behind him. Ryou was still in a state of shock as Malik broke out from his. Taking a deep breath, and braving the fear, Malik passed Ryou, heading into the village. Ryou held his breath and closed his eyes, fearful for his friend. Yugi tried to call him back, but Malik didn’t seem to hear him.

Malik looked around the area, recognizing the dead bodies of his friends and neighbors. Their bodies were almost drenched in blood, already attracting the flies and crows. Malik held his nose to try and block out the horrid smell of the carnage that lay before him. He felt someone grasp his waist and looked down to see only Yugi, his eyes wide with fear and tears.

“Malik...did the-“

”Vikings? Yes Yugi...this is the work of the Vikings.” Yugi whimpered and was soon joined by Ryou, who clutched Malik’s shoulder.

“I thought you said the Vikings wouldn’t get us.” Ryou said, his voice trembling.

“I-I thought we were safe! That’s what the village elder said to me long ago!” Yugi pulled at Malik’s brown, ragged tunic.

“What do we do now, Malik? Where do we go?” There was a suddenly rustling sound coming from the hut nearest to them. The three boys clutched each other, becoming very still. “What is it?” Ryou shook his head.

“I don’t know...maybe someone is still alive!” He whispered, staring at the rag curtain which was the door. It rustled again, making the three jump. “Malik, do something!”

“Why me?!” Yugi pushed Malik forward.

“Because you’re the bravest and oldest!”

Malik, seeing as he had no choice, approached the hut slowly. The noise inside was making him nervous, but he kept going. When he reached the curtain door, he took a long, deep breath, and slowly began to peek in....but jumps back as something large and black almost hits his face. It was only a crow which had made it’s way into the house. Malik let out his breath and chuckled, the others just staring at him. Suddenly, the rag curtain was moved swiftly to his left side, and Malik felt himself lifte ont onto a strong shoulder. He screamed in fright and surprise.

“Hey Bakura! Look what I got!!” Ryou and Yugi screamed as they felt two arms clutch their necks tightly.

“Big deal! I got two!” Marik chuckled.

“I got a pretty one, though!” He slapped Malik’s ass, making him yelp. Yugi, being as small as he was, managed to wiggle free of Bakura’s grip. Bakura tried reaching for him, but he couldn’t let go of Ryou. Before Yugi could do anything, someone grabbed him be sce scruff of his neck, yanking him back with a yelp.

“What’s going on here?” It was Seto, their fellow comrade Viking.

“Just found some leftovers!” Marik grinned from ear to ear, ignoring Malik’s kicking feet and pounding fists. “Care to join the fun, Seto?” Seto scowled and turned away from them.

“I’d rather not. You do whatever you want, I’m taking this one to Yami.” Bakura chuckled and twirled Ryou around to face him, and gasped.

“What!? You look like me!” Ryou was equally surprised at the somewhat resemblance. Seto cocked his head to the side, slightly confused. Marik just shook his head.

“Nah, it’s just a coincidence! Don’t let THAT hold you back, Bakura!” Bakura smirked evilly.

“You’re right. Let’s see what this English whore has to offer!”

Bakura pushed Ryou to the ground and threw his full weight on top of him. Ryou struggled to fight him off, but Bakura was much to strong. Marik chuckled evilly, having a fun time goosing Malik. Bakura managed to rip the front of Ryou’s tunic, enjoying the screams he rang from him. Seto quickly covered Yugi’s eyes with his arm.

“Shield your eyes.” He spoke in English. “Don’t look.”

“Hold still you little-“

”STOP!” Bakura paused in his motions, looking around to find Yami glaring at him from his horse. “What’s wrong with you, Bakura!? Haven’t you two done enough for one day, without having to rape some English slut?!” Marik smirked.

“We did that already too!” Yami slapped a hand to his face.

“This is NOT what I mean when I say ‘scope the village’!” Marik walked up to Yami with Malik still struggling over his shoulder.

“Can we keep them, Yami?! Please!?” Bakura nodded with a grin, covering Ryou’s mouth up with his hand to muffle his screams.

“Yeah, please?” Yami rolled his eyes at Bakura

“Bakura, you decapitated the last one!” Ryou’s eyes widened in fear as his struggles continued.

“Come on Yami!” Marik pleaded. “We need personal servants anyway! You can have that one over there that looks like you!” Yami looked to where Marik was pointed and gasped as he saw a smaller version of himself. The look alike stared at him with equal fascination. He could also see the fear in those large eyes. Curious to find out more about that boy, Yami decided to take them all as servants. Maybe it would shut his brothers up for awhile.

“Fine, we’ll take them.” Marik and Bakura grinned at each other. “Now lets go.” Marik skipped off with Malik still over his shoulder, screaming at Marik to let him go. Ryou yelped in pain as Bakura started dragging him along the ground by his hair. Seto followed behind them, keeping a firm grip on Yugi’s wrist as he pulled him along. Seto shouted to Bakura.

“The least you could do is carry the boy!” Bakura looked back at Seto with a smirk.

“But then it wouldn’t be near as much fun! It makes me feel more barbaric and threatening!” Seto just shook his head.

When they reached the other Vikings of their tribe, Yami ordered the prisoner’s wrists tied together to prevent any attempts at escape. Since the village was ransacked of all it’s goods, the Viking tribe were ready to make their way back to their camp. Malik was forced to sit in front of Marik on his horse while Ryou was laid longways across Bakura’s saddle. Seto asked Yami if he wanted to ride with Yugi, but Yami declined and told Seto to take of him for the time being. He had to lead his men back to their camp.

After what seemed like forever to Ryou and the others, the Vikings had finally reached their camp. The site was a number of tents and campfires. A smaller army of Vikings all ran to greet their returning leader and fellow warriors. Malik noticed the other Vikings staring at him and his friends, saying something in their language and laughing. If the stories ofing ing prisoners were true, Malik fearee woe worst for himself and companions.
