Chapter 1: The Invitation *Yugi's POV*
It's a day, just like no other. I have my life and the love of my life, Yami here with
me. He's so amazing the way he's there for me in many ways...emotionally, physically,
mentally, and especially *ahem* sexually. My mind wanders everywhere until Yami
snaps me back into reality.
"Aibou? Aibou!" He screams at me.
"What is it?" I ask as normal as possible.
"Look at what came in the mail today. It's from Kaiba."
I look at him curiously to see what could Kaiba have sent us.
"Wel"Well, open it up Yami." I say, anxiously.
He opens the envelope and there are 2 tickets, a letter, and a brochure. I grab the
brochure and browse through it while Yami reads the letter.
"Yugi and Yami, I would like to personally invite you to a cruise. This cruise is
for couples only and there are a limited number of people I sent the invites to.
The boat, St. Kaiba, leaves next Saturday, so be ready to go by 8am! Hope to see
you there, Kaiba."
The boat is amazing from the pictures. There are 8 bedrooms, a dining hall,
entertainment, a gym and spa, a pool, and many many other features!
"I want to go! It'll be great!" I exclaim to Yami.
"Well then, next Saturday is the day!" He replies.
"I wonder who else got an invite? I know Kaiba and Jounouchi are definately going to
be there. Then there's Ryou and Bakura, Marik and Malik, and Honda and Otogi."
"Bakura and Marik are going to be a handfull."
Yami laughs. There is a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" I yell as Yami disappears back into my puzzle.
"Anzu! Open up Yugi!"
I open the door to see Anzu standing happily on the other side.
"So what brings you here Anzu?"
"What? I can't visit one of my best friends?!"
I remember I left the invite on the couch.
"Hold on a second, I left something on in the kitchen." I say making up a quick excuse.
I run straight to the living room where I foolishly left the tickets, the letter, and the
brochure. I lifted up one of the cushions and stick them under there. When I turned around,
Anzu was standing in the doorway looking at me weirdly.
"So, I didn't know this was the kitchen." She says suspiciously. "Everyone has been acting
so distant towards me lately. What is it, did I forget to shower? Wear anti-persperant?"
"No, no, that's not it Anzu. I've been running the game shop almost alone since grandpa has
been ill."
"I can excuse you, but what about Jou and Honda? You know what, I got something to tell
you Yugi."
"Umm...what...is it?"
"I saw Jou headed towards Kaiba Manor. Isn't that weird? Why would he go there? Just
to get dogged by Kaiba? Ooo that arrogant bastard! I could just run over him with a car!
And then there's Honda. He's been at Otogi's shop a lot lately!"
"Honda has a part-time job there. And Jou...he just walks by there on his way home. That's
all."
"Hmmm...Yugi. It sounds as if you're taking up for them. You all wouldn't hide anything from
me? Now would you?"
"No..no Anzu, not at all. You are one of my best friends."
"I just hope they aren't sleeping together, that would be so creepy. And then you have to
be around Honda and Jou! Just those thoughts gives me the creeps!"
"Yea Anzu...the creeps."
"Well, I have to go now. I have dance practice in an hour. My recital is next Saturday at 7pm.
You better be there or I'm going to be very mad."
I pause for a minute...wait, isn't that the same day as the cruise?
//Yes, are you going to her recital or the cruise?//
/Ummmm/
"Yea, I'll be there!"
Anzu finally gets up and walks to the door.
"I'll let myself out. See you later Yugi!"
"Ja! Anzu!"
I wait for the door to close and peek out the window to make sure she left. Yami comes back
out of the puzzle.
"I see why anyone hasn't told her yet." Yami knowingly says. "So, what are you going to do now?
I guess we aren't going on that cruise."
"I'll think of an excuse. Don't get me wrong, Anzu is a good friend, but she doesn't have the
same views as we do. She just doesn't understand. I need to call Honda and Jou and tell them to
watch out."
I pick up the phone and dial Kaiba's house.
"Good afternoon, this is Mokuba."
"Mokuba! How are you?"
"Yugi! I'm doing well."
"Is Jounouchi there?"
"Yea, hold on."
I could hear Jou losing another game to Mokuba.
'Ya little pipsquak, You better be glad the phone rung or I wudda beat ya!'
'I don't think so Jou!'
"Moshi moshi! Jou speaking!"
"Hey, this is Yugi."
"Howz it goin with you and Yami?" He giggles a little.
"Just fine. But I'm calling with a warning."
"A warning? What wrong little buddy?"
"Anzu. She saw you headed towaKaibKaiba's. And she sees Honda at Otogi's shop a lot too."
Things got quiet all of a sudden and I could hear kisses and moans.
"Umm...Jou? Hello?"
"Oh...Yug...sorry...thanks for the...mmm...warning...gotta go...later!"
"Later."
I hung up the phone knowing that Kaiba was home from work and was ready to 'rest' himself.
"Hey Yami."
"Yes aibou?"
"It's amazing how Shizuka, Mai, and even Mokuba accepts our relationships."
"The human mind is afraid of differences and changes. Just give Anzu time and she will
eventually accept us, and we won't have to hide the truth around her."
"A year...don't you think that time enough?"
"Don't get yourself worked up aibou. I can easily calm you down."
He looks at me with pure lust in his eyes. Yami points upstairs and walks towards them. I
eagerly follow, knowing that I'm about to be calmed down, Yami Style!
