Ooh, very nice. A couple of fragmented sentences make it a little more concentration-inducing to read, but they'll go away with time. ^_^

I adore your use of adjectives, especially where you've taken words usually applied to one sense ('pale', for instance) and used it for another ('voice') without making it sound awkwaIt sIt sounds terrific. And it remined me of something stupid one of my friends said a while ago: "Suddenly, I smelled a burning noise". Not only have you impressed me, but you made me laugh retrospectively. I'm really glad you made another chapter.

P.S: As a big thanks for the whole lack of unexplained "I love you" at the end (did that make sense? Prob'ly not), I stuffed around until I got you a star back. *sigh* I'm workin' on the fifth one - you deserve them all. ^_-
