Awww...I love protective Yami....and a thoroughly chastised Yugi. Your characters are so perfect. I feel so bad for Jou...he's fighting so hard but he has so little leeway. I can't wait to learn more. Thanks for the update!

Glad that the hikaris are getting a little fight back...though that didn't work too well for Yugi. Seems that they just can't win. I was genuinely surprised that you do not put conscious thought into analyzing the relationship/chemistry between the characters. But maybe that is why this story is so great-because it is not over-thought and seems natural. Hope everything is going well for you.

whew! you had me worried there for a bit. i thought Yami would freak and do something absolutely awful and they would be on worse terms and likely regress with their relationship even further or something. speaking of which, i love your characterization of them. i i find their relationship unhealthy and unconventional but it can't be denied that there's 'something' between them and it is enough to make them stay and unconsciously readjust themselves and be - or at least, close to - what the other needed or is most compatible with. very excited for their journey. and i'll just express my sympathies to Jou. poor guy. enough said. may your muse always be with you! see ya next chapter

You never fail to brighten my day with every update, no matter how dramatic their relationship gets within each chapter I absolutely love the dynamic the two have with one another, and how Yugi doesn't let himself get manipulated and even goes so far as to irritate Yami haha. I actually relate with the development of their relationship, strangely enough, so it's really very enjoyable to see how they've progressed as a couple :)

So I'm really disappointed. Why, you ask? The answer is really obvious. Because I caught up and now the next chapter isn't up yet. *Insert dramatic sigh here*
On the other hand I get to tell you how much I love this story without too many words. The characterizations are lovely, there's one problem after another which keeps me interested and reading even though I know the catchup point is approaching, and it's just so much fun. I'm already loving Jou and Bakura. I also enjoy the echoes of canon that come up from time to time. So much fun.
I'm looking forward to the next update. :)

This... This story is amazing. It is so original! Many have done the dictator Yami cliche, but you have burned through that cliche and made it your own. While I admit that many stories can make me laugh or cry, this story has held my attention like very few before. It has even cut into my sleeping time! A very good job here. I am looking forward to the angle you take in future.

Aw I loved this chapter...but it's such a tease! I can't even wait to know what happens now that they are stranded in the middle of the desert ;). The hikaris seem to be taking everything pretty meekly...except Jou but he doesn't really get much say in the matter thanks to Kaiba. I expect some difficulties with them soon. Can't wait to learn more!
