What is it with you and death? But, yay, my favorites all lived! I froze up when you had a bloody Puzzle piece. I was going, nooooo! Poor Bakura and Otogi! That's so sad. I love the ending, where Joey feels safe and happy again with his lover. I'm glad they found each other, that Joey was stopped from committing suicide, and that Yami and Yugi were okay and still together. A war out of nowhere! Eek, a little close-topic for comfort, ne? Let's hope you're not a fortune-teller through your writing.

I totally believe that you should have made this into a complete story about how they survived the war. This was really good.

Poor Jounouchi getting over the loss of his mother, sister and father and then to lose his friends. At least he still has Seto, Mokuba, Yami, Yugi Otogi and Bakura. That's almost too much at once to lose.
I feel bad for Yugi too. He lost his friends and his only family member. Good thing his love is still around.
Wonderful story.
