Oooh, finally updated this story! ^_^
I would have to say that -in my opinion- it's the best story that you have still in progress, it was agonising to go so long without seeing a new chapter. Hopefully getting one chapter out will mean that you have less trouble with the next one. I find that writers block comes in chapter sized blocks unless the story is well and truely dead...hopefully the story's NOT dead. ç_ç
Anyway, even MORE emotional conflict than the last chapter and a good deal of violence too- the fight scene are always hard to pull off but I believed you managed to pull it off very well- despite the outcome being very one-sided.
Strangely enough I feel sympathy for Set... as well as intolerance (odd combination I know)- he just doesn't understand Ryou, nor does he really love him, he only believes he does. I think that's a little sad, personally, to be so self-absorbed that you can hurt the friends of the one you 'love' and still believe you are on the side of right.
My intolerance for him stems from the fact that he evidently refuses to acknowledge Ryou and Bakura's bond- or the time that Ryou has spent with both his yami and his friends. The fact that Set thinks he can just waltz in and snatch Ryou away from his family (friends more than blood family) without any emotional repercussions makes me want to slap the guy, god of destruction or not.
I love how you brought in Throth, the scribe god with the head of the wading bird, the one that eats snails from the river Nile? At least I'm pretty sure that's the one (damn, I need to brush up on my Egyptian mythology), if that's the one I'm thinking of then I'm glad that you are making him a major influence in this story as the voice of reason. Apart from Khepri and Anubis, that guy was always one of my favourites.
Anyway, hope this helps you get over your mental block.

omg. u must update and u must update soon. i've been waiting for u 2 update this story 4 like ever. Set is such an asshole. i really don't like him. i hope ryou is really under some spell or somthing cuz i'm really starting to believe that he's never gonna leave set. i feel really sorry 4 bakura. anyway, UPDATE!!! this chappie was great.

I honestly can't guess how this will end. Set won't just give Ryou away, Ryou is torn between Set and Bakura, and Bakura's not giving Ryou up without a fight. :o *suspense*
