Okay, first, if you were a freshman back in 04/05 then there's no excuse now. You should be out of school.


Second, I hate it when people talk down about themselves and say they're bad writers when they're obviously NOT.


Third, I agree with nearly every review you've had so far in that this is one of the best fics I've read; Jou/Kai or otherwise, due primarily to your ability to get into their heads instead of writing fluff.


And finally; my biggest pet-peeve has always been, and remains, the fact that the nets are flooded with innane crap by a bunch of preteens who really can't write, but continue to pretend that they can (to the tune of fics with 40 or more chapters each), while people like yourself, with real talent, get halfway through a great fic AND THEN LEAVE ME HANGING!

I know it's been a really long time since you wrote on this (I just found it! Didn't know you had an account here!), but I REALLY want to know how this turns out. I'm a sucker for angsty Seto and really enjoy Jou as the dominant in this pairing. Please, please, PLEASE write more!

Good things are worth waiting for! I have to hand it to you for coming back and adding some more wonderful chapters- I myself am still trying to get back into the groove, so to speak. I'm overjoyed that you updated- I've actually been checking back every once in a while to see if you have, so I was extremely pleased to find you finally did! I think your writing is just as enthralling and impressive as it's always been. In regards to the contents of your new chapters, it's nice to see that at least one of the stubborn protaganists in this story has finally gotten over himself- now these two might actually make some progress with thier soon-to-be relationship, so long as they don't get in thier own way. And I think it's always better to build a platonic relationship before attempting a romantic one, so I think you made a good call there. Keep updating! I love this story!

Ahem. Anyway. I've only recently been convinced that there is some good in the YGO fandom. And then I find this, and realize that I really have been missing out. When you said that only a few people were reviewing, I was really surprised, because this is a very interesting take. Very IC, Kaiba is human-ized (and the self-esteem+cold defensive exterior issue is perfect), Jou is not wuss-ified, and the post-BC Marik/Malik dynamic is spot on; in fact, the whole thing seems perfectly plausible.

Also, it's so nice to find a story that's "not about sex, but about the characters (who happen to have sex occasionally)." I LOVE YOU for that. There's actual... thought. The readers aren't drowning in plot-device!angst. Other characters outside the main pairing are included, and furthermore are given emotions.

The only criticism I have is the occasional grammar slip-up, but really. Those are just going to happen, and otherwise your writing is sound (ie the grammar/spelling does not make me want to spork out my eyes). AFF.net seems to fudge the formatting at times, especially where apostrophes are involved, but that's really not your fault.

Wow... Jou, Seto, you might want to stop thinking too much, you're already getting headaches. Good work. ^^ What I really want to know is how Malik would deal with Jounouchi... or would Marik be the one doing the dealing?

I like this story.I has depth and potential that many stories lack. I hope you keep up with it until the end.

^^ this is really good!.............i love seto/jou fanfics! *hugs jou/seto plushies close*..........i don't know what it is, but i have always seen seto as the seme in their relationship, and then jou as the passive/agressive uke............of course, seto as a total submitive uke works well, too.......considering his past and personality and everything...........^^ i really like how you are writing this story, and i am sorry that i didn't review your first fic of this, but i only just read it and i thought it would be best if i just did an overall review of everything i read..........which was kick ass! *hugs*...........the only thing is, i get the feeling that yugi likes anzu........*ponders* i guess i just preferr yugi with his yami *looks sheepish* but, i really like this story so i can't complain about anything that your creative spirit feels like doing! ^^.............i really liked the last line of the latest chapter.......the part about 'like it or not kaiba was going to get a new friend' or whatever it was that it said^^;.............just out of curiosity, what is your favorite yaoi pairing? first out of yu-gi-oh, and then out of anything else that you can think of^^................i'm sorry if it seems as if i am rambling, but from reading your author's notes, i don't think that you will mind *grins*...............i wonder, do you think that it's weird to have dreams about fictional characters (i.e. ones from anime), but /you/ are one of the characters (even though he's male, but dreams are weird like that,ne?).........but then again your /not/?..............i don't know if that made any sense, but i would be only too happy to learn if you /do/ have an answer for me.............*hugs again* thanks for 'listening' to my incessant babling ^^.........ja ne and love as thou wilt!
