I've read this story and its only two lovely chapters over and over, and I'm really sad this was discontinued
A lot of good stories on this site were never finished and really makes me wonder wat happened
Did u guys get tired of it?
Was it not fun anymore?
Did it not seem worth the effort?
Watevr the reason, it doesn't really matter, I really love this story, and I hope that u, dear writer come back someday and finish this lovely piece
It's crossed my mind and it shows repeatedly as each day goes by that this story may never be finished...
This bothers me a bit, but if that's wat the writer wants then I can't go against u now can I? ^^
U might never read this
And even if u don't that's really ok
Update someday,
Kei

Hi there! ^^
Well, interesting story so far. Though, with the dreams it sometimes really difficult to understand who is just acting, because I have the feeling you are changing the point of view quite often during the dream sequences. Sorry for saying this, but this is what I felt when I was reading this. ^^; Still, the story sound interesting. But... now I felt I have an explanation to give about something you said at the end of the first chapter:
>I’m tired of ‘Jou is abused by his father’ stories. Who decided his father would be such a nasty prick anyway…? Why not Yugi’s father? I mean, he ditched the kid with >his grandfather and hasn’t been seen since, how’s that for asshole like behavior? So in this one Jou’s father isn’t the best guy, but he, like most humans, is trying >hard to do right and does actually love his son quite a bit. Jou’s mother isn’t helping… But we’ll see a lot of him in this story.
Well, there is a reason behind the believe why Jonouchi's father would be this way. Did you ever read the manga's? There is a scene where Jonouchi went missing and Yuugi, Honda and Anzu were trying to find him. While searching they also went to where Jonouchi lives and there was his father, drunk, cursing, threatening and throwing bottles after Yuugi and the others. If you have seen such a scene, tell me how could you not think of Katsuyas father as a nasty prick? However, it's also right that Jonouchi seems to not hate his father. Because some chapters later in the manga he was playing in a game show where he could win a lot of money. He was near winning and with the hope of getting a lot of money, he was thinking about making up with his father. Also, in the manga it was made clear that Jonouchi as a special permission to work beside school (which usually isn't allowed in Japan) because he has to pay for the flat and for food all himself.
Now about Yuugi, well, Yuugi isn't living with his grandfather alone. He lives with his grandfather and his mother. I think his mother showed up in the anime for one time right after Duelist Kingdom, when his grandfather was released from hospital. In the manga she shows up once or twice, but because she doesn't have such an important role as Yuugi's grandfather has, she is not shown often. About Yuugi's father now, yes it's right he's never shown up in the manga. But from some other people I've heard that Takahashi once told in an inverview that Yuugi's father is a businessmen and quite busy with work. So it seems because of his work he is traveling and not able to stay at home very often.
Well, I hope that this explanation helped you to understand why most people portray Jonouchi's father the way you have read so often. ^^ I am still looking forward to read more of this story. Please update soon.

The plot is not only interesting, but I adore the way you wrote out Ryou and Bakura's scenes, and that is the quickest way to my heart XD
Well done, your writing style is great, and I can't wait until you update. ^_^
