Love your story but you made one huge mistake. In your notes you mentioned wives jumping into their husbands cremation fires. That goes against the most basic rule of Egyptian burial. In order for the Ka, or spirit double, to survive, the body must remain intact. Hence, we have mummies. no ashes in Egypt, I'm afraid. That's a Roman tradition.

That's a great one shot (it is one, right? ^^;; )! I liked reading it a lot, espesially the end. ^_^x
I just wanted to add sth to the fact that slaves went around nude (which I really don't mind... XD):
Wenn some one in egypt wore nothing more than a sheet aound his waist he was aleady considered naked (at least for protection reason they should wear sth). I don't mind your version though! ^_^x
